30 Days till I Divorce My Husband (Estrella and Jason)

Chapter 39

Kristin pressed on, and her temper flared, “What’s wrong with Estrella? She’s beautiful, smart, has a killer body, an impressive education, and comes from a good family. She’s leagues above that Serene, yet you treat her like she’s invisible”

“And didn’t you agree to this marriage? You brought Estrella home, but now you’re just leaving her alone. Isn’t that just heartless?

If you want this way, you should have never agreed to the marriage!

It’s been over two years since you’ve been married. How often have you been home? Estrella’s always the one reaching out. Do you think this is appropriate?

“If someone wishes for you to have a fulfilling life with Estrella, you would direct them to construct schools in distant locations You are a total disgrace to the Nelson family.”

Jason’s head was pounding. He massaged the bridge of his nose and met Kristin’s gaze, which was fiery with indignation What now? You want me to head off and build schools too? Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Jason muttered 1 wouldn’t dare”

Indeed, Estrella had always been the initiator throughout their marriage But why did Estrella get married with him and become the initiator? Everyone in the family knew the reason and her purpose Had Estrella been sincere had that incident not occurred. things might have been different

Jason didn’t want to argue with Kristin so he placated her “We’re not getting a divorce, okay? We’ll work it out”

Kristin’s eyes lit up “What about kids? Will thake grandchildren to dote on?

Jason was blunt. “No kids

Kristin exploded, swatting at him with a feather duster “Say that again!”

Meanwhile, in Estrella’s room

After Kristin dragged Jason away, Autumn started sobbing “Why did you have to be so impatient? Why did you agree to this?”

Estrella, feeling a headache said wearily. Mom, please. It’s too early for a flood of tears And besides, it’s not like there’s a shortage of guys out there. What are you worried

about?”

After saying it, she handed her mom a tissue, who accepted it but cried harder. “You forgetful child. Have you forgotten what the fortune-teller said? Do you want to end your lineage?

Estrella remained silent, prompting Autumn to hdd, “Even if Jason has a wandering eye,

women have to share the blame for not keeping our husbands close.”

Estrella scoffed. “You blame yourself more than anyone else.”

Autumn, drying her tears, asked, “What did you say?”

Estrella deflected. 1 said it’s my fault, for not keeping your son-in-law close to my heart.” Deep down she was relieved her father wasn’t fooling around, or she’d be unsure whom to call “Mom”,

Without arguing. Autumn continued, “We can’t solely blame you. Jason has his faults, and so do those other women.”

Estrella admitted, “I’m not at fault here.”

Ignoring Estrella’s comment, Autumn insisted, To keep a man’s heart, a woman should bear his child. Otherwise, he’ll always be restless.”

Estrella couldn’t agree. Her child would be for herself, not for anyone else.

Silence from Estrella prompted Autumn to probe, “Why aren’t you speaking?”

Estrella conceded. “You’re right.”

Autumn, now serious, revealed, “I came here to lay it out for you. Forget about divorce. Your father and I will never approve of it. He said, no matter how tough it gets, you have to have a child. What will you do when we’re gone? You can’t be left alone.”

Estrella relented, “Fine, I’ll have a child.”

Autumn, wiping away the last of her tears, made Estrella promise, “You said it yourself. Don’t go back on your word.”

Estrella touched her temple, affirming, “I promised.”

Autumn, still doubtful, urged, “Your father’s stressed with company issues. Don’t distract him further.”

Estrella straightened up, “What’s happening to the company?” Her family’s wealth was not to be trifled with; it was her future security.

Autumn disclosed, “It’s something to do with the Lamont family. So, no more troubles for your father.”

Estrella nodded, “Understood.”

Satisfied, Autumn said, “As long as you prioritize and reduce the friction with Jason, things will be better.”

Estrella agreed, “I’ll try.”

Later, Autumn left to check on Jason. Exiting the room, they ran into Kristin and Jason,

Kristin approached with a smile, “Autumn, have you finished the heart-to-heart?”

“Yes, I gave her a thorough talking to,” Autumn replied.

Kristin took Estrella by the arm, comforting her “I’ve just given Jason a piece of my mind. Serene has left, and I’ve had everything in the house changed. If it still bothers you, we’ll move.”

Estrella yawned, “I didn’t even change my husband. No need to change the house.”

Kristin cooed, “Whatever you want. We’ll do it your way.”

As Estrella ignored Jason, Autumn nudged her. “Estrella, Jason’s looking at you. Say something to him.”

Estrella winced as she felt a jab. Her gaze swiftly rose to meet Jason’s eyes. There was a fleeting moment of charged silence as their eyes locked. Jason’s face, marked with the distinct imprint of a

feather duster, brought a smug sense of satisfaction tolla With her hands casually buried in the pockets of her pajamas, she watched Jason with a Tanguid air and said, “So, last night you touched my boobs with

your hands. Time to pay

up.”

After Estrella’s remark, Kristin and Autumn were initially taken aback, and then their faces flushed a deep shade of crimson.
