Chapter 597 As if I Was with Him
Chapter 597 As if I Was with Him
After the nanny took the baby away, they walked to the corner. Victor gave Lily a document and said,
"I'm here today to bring the gift to the baby and also this document to you."
Lily took the document and opened it. Then she pulled out several sheets of paper. She was stunned at
the first glance.
Victor said, "When Mr. Smith was trapped in Y country, waiting for another visa to be issued, Old Mr.
Smith went to see him and told him that he had made a will and pave a way for him."
"After he took you to Paris, he called me over and handed me the will. He told me to give this to you
after his death. The lawyer has a copy."
Lily's hands trembled and choked on her words.
"Ms. Lily, now that Mr. Seles is also dead. The Krislier would be carved up by the vultures in less than a
month. The Krislier is also a gift from Mr. Smith."
After a long silence, Lily fought the agony in her heart and put the document back in the envelope. "I'll
take good care of whatever he had for him. What's your plan for the future?"
"He used to be what I lived for. Now that he's dead, I'm free to go anywhere."
"Why don't you stay here?" Lily smiled and looked at the nanny who was putting the baby down. "I got
you and Amanda a young master. She's difficult now, but it will get better as she grew up. What do you
think of it?"
Victor's lips moved and he grinned a smile. "She's a Smith, of course I'd like to take care of her."
As if John were still with them.
After the celebration, Lily went to Country Y without taking a break.
She hadn't married John. Other Krisliers weren't happy about the will at all, neither were all, the
shareholders of the whole group. They wanted to buy her shares.
After John was dead, the fight between Jonathan Lily and other Krisliers lasted for two months. Louis
wanted to intervene, only to be stopped by Lily, therefore, he could only send Coffey over.
After Lily went through dozens of assassinations, she finally forced other people from Krislier to sign
the consent on the morning of the 68th day. She successfully inherited the assets of the Krislier Group
under John's will.
Lily arranged Victor in the Krislier Group and took Coffey back home.
Louis picked them up at the airport.
Lily found him next to his car from afar as soon as they walked out.
He was in a thin black coat which accentuated his tall figure. The sunglasses were a plus to his already
extraordinary temperament, making passing women look back frequently.
Lily walked over fast and hugged him. She wrapped a silk scarf around his neck and said in a
dissatisfied tone, "You don't have to bear the torment of having a baby. That's why you haven't aged a
day over a decade, and you're still going around to different women."
Louis burst out in laughter and then kissed her. He was worried when he saw her tired face. "Thank
you for all you've done."
"Pray to God and let him get me aged slower if you really want to help," Lily said as she got in the car.
"Wish I could look like your daughter."
Louis pinched her cheeks when he got in. "Are you sure your two daughters will be glad to hear the
prayers?"
"I'd be overwhelmed with joy if I could be their sister." Lily shook her high heels off and put her feet on
his thigh. "I've been wearing the high heels for the past two months to maintain my elegant image. Now
I could barely feel my feet. Now rub them for me."
"Okay," Louis replied as he started rubbing. He told Coffey to drive slowly.
Coffey glanced at Lily from the rearview mirror and said helplessly, "She's acting, can't you tell? She
walked like flying when fighting with other people in the company. I didn't see her feel painful at all."
Lily picked up a cushion and threw it at Coffey. Then she said with a sullen face, "I'm making out with
my husband. Stay away! Ask Justin if he has developed the medicine for you. I don't like the way you
look now."
Coffey silently closed his mouth and stopped talking.
On their way back, Lily asked Louis about the babies. She's been out for two months and she was
afraid they wouldn't recognize her.
"Of course they wouldn't know you. You should spend more time getting familiar with them," Louis put a
pillow behind her and said, "Get a good rest. I'll take you to the hospital tomorrow."
"What for?"
Louis said, "One month after you went to Country Y, Stella woke up and was transferred to the hospital
in Yorkshire for treatment."
"Really?" Lily couldn't believe it. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"You were too busy in Country Y. Daniel and Justin were in the hospital looking after her. Even I didn't
have to worry about her, not to mention you."
Lily punched him and urged Coffey, "Let's not go home now. We should go to the hospital, or I'll be
worried."
The car soon arrived at the city hospital.
Daniel was too busy to stay in the hospital every day. It was Joshua who took care of Stella for most of
the time. When Lily walked into the ward, she happened to hear Joshua reading a story to Stella.
Stella was leaning on the bed in a hospital gown. Her face looked rosy and she looked well.
Seeing her being so healthy, Lily was less worried. She grinned a smile and greeted her, "Stella."
"Lily." Stella was so happy to see her. She took Lily's hand and held it tightly when she came over. "You
were so busy and I know how hard it must have been for you to take care of Joshua at the same time."
"It's fine, he's a sweet boy."
Joshua pulled a chair for Lily and said, "Take a seat, my future mother-in-law."
Stella and Lily were both taken back.
Stella then understood what he was talking about. He patted him on his head out of embarrassment.
"Mother-in-law? When did she agree on that?"
"We had this agreement before my wife was born," Joshua was young but bold. He asked Lily, "Do you
remember?"
Lily felt it so weird. She touched his head and answered, "Yes... but she's too young. Can we talk about
it when you get older? That sounded weirdly disgusting to me now."
"You're making me feel insecure." Joshua couldn't keep calm. He said to Stella, "Mom, do you have a
family heirloom, like a necklace or a bracelet? Maybe I can give it to Mia? Let's get this marriage
arranged first, in case Lily finds a better candidate and kicked me off the list."
Stella and Lily looked at each other.
Lily couldn't help asking, "Are you sure you didn't have a mix-up when he was in the maternity ward?
Think about Daniel, and him... he's not like you, either."
"Perhaps no." Stella sounded very unsure. "He looked exactly like his dad when he was young."
"Many kids grow up being like celebrities." NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
"That's true."
Joshua knew the two were joking about him, he went out of the ward and went to Justin.
Maybe his three uncles had something nice for him to give away.
Seeing him running out of the ward, the two women giggled.
Lily took an apple. As she peeled it, she said, "I heard that Daniel has sent his parents to the suburbs
as soon as he was back. He had taken over Officer Lou's duty."
"I don't want him to. It's too tiring." Stella sighed, "As long as he took it over, I'm sure I won't be able to
see him more than twice a year, but he insists that he needs to expand his ways."
Daniel told her everything as soon as he woke up.
Lily cut an apple for her, pursing her lips and saying, "Mrs. Lou said she did that to you because she
had been instigated, and she didn't intend to kill you. I was going to ask her who instigate her,
but..."
