Chapter 14- Amara
Chapter 14- Amara
After dinner we all sat in the living room. William and Grace were talking to Elena, getting to know her
and all. Alex is sitting next to Elena playing an active part in the interview or that's what it looks like. I
am playing cards with Natalie and Oliver on the carpeted floor. Their house has this warm vibe in it. It
feels like home. Oliver won by cheating a few times. He got up and started doing a weird victory dance.
I couldn't stop myself from laughing. Elena started laughing too. On the other hand the Knights were
looking at him like they are seeing something impossible. Grace looked like she will cry any moment.
Natalie was staring at him with so much adoration. What is with them? They are a weird bunch.
Oliver yelled, "In your face kid. I won." I rolled my eyes at him.
"You cheated and I am not a kid. How many times do I have to tell you this to get it through your thick
skull?" I huffed and Natalie joined the argument,
"You cheated Ollie. You are not playing fair."
"Everything is fair in love and war. Besides I didn't cheat. I just took a quick peek at Amara's cards." he
defended himself grinning widely.
"This is not either of them. It's a card game dumbass." I said laughing.
"Looking through other players cards is exactly what is called cheating." said Natalie.
"You two are just jealous because you lost and ganging up on me won't change the fact." said Oliver
folding his hands on his chest.
The other four were watching us bicker with amusement. Oliver grabbed a cushion from the sofa and
threw it at me. It would have hit me square in the face, if I haven't caught it. Thanks to my reflexes.
They don't even look like a vampire family. Just a normal human family with kids fighting over
something. I looked at Natalie and nodded at her.
"This is war.", we declared.
Oliver sprinted in the kitchen with a scared look. He seriously doesn't look like a vampire right now,
neither of them do. He is running in human speed maybe for making it easy for me. Natalie is also
running at human speed. They look like normal humans. The wolves always ran in slower pace when
we played to let me catch up. Oliver ran out of the kitchen with me and Natalie hot on his tail. He pulled
Grace up from her sitting position and hid behind her using her as a shield. Like that is going to help
him. You are so dead mister.
"Mom those two are ganging up on me and trying to beat me up." Oliver complained.
The scene looked comical though. It was funny looking at a tall grown guy hiding behind his mother
and wailing for protection from two girls half his size. This is just so hilarious.
"Well I am on their side. Mind letting me go now." Grace said to him, smirking.
"Whaaaat? This is so not fair." he turned towards Alex" You are on my side right?" he asked
expectantly.
"Sorry. I will be siding with the ladies and Elena too." Alex said to him. Elena nodded at him.
"You traitor. You betrayed me.", Oliver said putting his hand on his chest in mock pain and pouting a
little.
"You better surrender Oliver while it's still time." William said sniggering.
Oliver pretended to think for a while and said dramatically," What is the price of sparing my precious
life?"
I squealed and said, "Ice cream." Natalie nodded her head and added,
"And a whole day of shopping." Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Oliver groaned and said," Fine. Tomorrow."
Both of us squealed. Grace and William were laughing. I got a message in the mind link.
'Are you done or not? It's way past your in time.' said Ryder.
From when did I have an in time? What am I going to do with him? I don't think he is going to warm up
to them any sooner.
Papa said,' Don't listen to that brat princess. If you want to stay a little longer, stay.'
'Yes papa.' I replied laughing.
I really should get going though.
"I should get going. It's getting late." I said to everyone.
"You are leaving already? But you just came." Oliver said whining.
"I really have to go. Thank you for the dinner."
"I will drop her off. Elena is staying here." said Alex.
We said our goodbyes and off I go towards my home. It was a great night. I must say they are really
nice people.
