A Night's Mistake: The Besotted CEO's Obsession

Chapter 501

Chapter 501

“What are you doing? Put me down!” Isabella struggled to stand on her own. Anthony raised an eyebrow, tightening his grip without letting go. “Don’t move, I won’t be responsible if you fall”

They had reached the staircase by this time, and with the height of the stairs along with Anthony’s height, it did look intimidating from Isabella’s perspective. To prevent any mishap, she obediently huddled in his arms.

The people ahead exchanged knowing glances and soon boarded the wedding car, driving away.

The wedding venue was a grassy area by the beach, clevated several hundred meters above the ground, covering an area the size of a football field, beautifully adorned with a dreamy atmosphere.

When Liam chose this location for the wedding, he had considered many other places, but all of them fell short in some aspect. Only this spot met all his requirements, offering breathtaking views and the unique opportunity to be so close to the sky. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

And since the wedding was set in winter, Liam had the whole place covered with glass to ensure the visual effect on the wedding day, each piece of these glass panels being quite luxurious. High– definition cameras were installed all around the venue for real–time broadcasting. He wanted everyone to see that Cynthia was his wife.

Around noon, the invited guests arrived at the yenue by helicopter. Melancholic music started playing, and the host began warming up the atmosphere.

“Thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend this unique and grand wedding. This wedding is special because the protagonists are a pair of sisters who recently reunited after many years of separation. After enduring various hardships, they finally found each other and their

own love stories. Let’s give them our warmest applause and blessings.” After the host’s speech, applause erupted from the crowd.

After a moment, sensing the elevated mood, the host raised the microphone once again and declared loudly, “Now, let’s welcome our two grooms for today.” As the host’s words faded, Liam and Anthony appeared in grandeur at the scene.

Both of them exuded a noble aura, dignified and composed. Liam wore a black suit, emanating a sense of stability, while Anthony in his white suit looked even more handsome than usual.

The guests seated below were prominent figures in Clusia, well–versed in the ways of the world, yet they were still struck by the commanding presence of Liam and Anthony.

It was the perfection of their looks that stood out, and now, be it nervousness or release from the constant pressure of their usual high positions, the guests could closely observe their outstanding appearances.

For a moment, only the music filled the air. Liam and Anthony, unaware of the thoughts swirling in the minds of the guests, both stared in the same direction, taking deep breaths, fingers clenched nervously by their sides.

Soon, not far away, a helicopter slowly ascended. The sound of the rotor blades grew louder as it approached. The two men exchanged a glance and sprinted toward the helicopter.

At that moment on the helicopter, Cynthia caught sight through the glass of the grand wedding scene below. The dreamlike setting made her heart tremble.

This was the result of the days of preparation her husband had put in, a wedding that she believed no girl could possibly dislike. Cynthia smiled sweetly, and she was touched by the scene before her.

At this moment, Isabella was still unaware of what was happening. Her gaze was fixed on the other side of the helicopter. When she saw the expression on Cynthia’s face, she curiously leaned over.

The next second, someone stopped her and blindfolded her eyes with a white cloth.

“What are you guys doing?” Isabella asked, somewhat puzzled.

“Isabella, wait for a surprise. Don’t remove the blindfold carly,” Queena said with a wide smile.

Soon, the helicopter landed, and the door swung open. Liam’s figure appeared at the doorway. His eyes looked deeply at Cynthia, covered in a veil, almost overflowing with tenderness.

“Dear, I’ve been waiting for this day for so long. You are finally and completely mine,” Liam said, reaching out his hand to Cynthia.

Cynthia sweetly reached out her hand. Liam lifted Cynthia out of the helicopter, and the two stood aside waiting for another couple.

Meanwhile, Anthony quietly approached the helicopter’s door. He gazed at Isabella, whose eyes were blindfolded, looking quite bewildered. Queena carefully placed Isabella’s hand into Anthony’s hand.

When their hands touched briefly, Isabella hesitated for a moment. She immediately recognized it was Anthony’s hand. Her confusion deepened.

Isabella wanted to remove the blindfold from her eyes, but before she could act, she felt someone lifting her up, swirling her around, and then her feet touched the ground.

She then felt something like a veil being draped over her shoulders, followed by the removal of the blindfold from her eyes. The sudden light made Isabella close her eyes for a second to adjust. When she opened her eyes again, she was left stunned by what she saw in front of her.

Anthony was kneeling in front of her, holding out a ring, with everyone around eagerly watching. “Izzy, I know this is sudden, but I can’t wait any longer. Will you marry me and stay by my side forever as my wife?” Anthony’s eyes were filled with expectancy, fixed firmly on Isabella.

“I’ve thought about this day for a long time. I’ve imagined various scenarios, but it never felt right until today. I know how much you value you families, and I understand how hard it was for you to reunite with your sister. That’s why I chose this day,” Anthony explained nervously, observing Isabella’s expression anxiously, afraid she might not like the surprise he had planned.

As he held his breath, he saw Isabella’s eyes welling up with tears. Anthony was taken aback but quickly stood up, fumbling to wipe her tears. “I’m sorry, Izzy. It’s my fault for not consulting you. If you don’t like it, I can-”

“I really like it,” Isabella interrupted, crying as she spoke, “I’m just so moved.” “Anthony, I love this surprise. Thank you,” Isabella nodded repeatedly.

In fact, witnessing her sister’s happiness at her wedding with her brother–in–law earlier that day, Isabella couldn’t help but feel envious. She had fantasized about her own wedding.

She had thought her wedding was still far off, but Anthony turned out to be so thoughtful, secretly arranging everything. That’s why when she learned the truth, she couldn’t hold back her tears.

Seeing her reaction, Anthony felt both heartbroken and guilty. He knew Isabella had been waiting for him for a long time.
