A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 656

Chapter 656

Seth was heading to Lundon for Lundon Fashion Week and had invited Sage to go with him just for a casual day out.

Tim was worried about Sage’s safety and insisted on tagging along.

The three of them then left for Lundon together.

Lundon Fashion Week was ranked top four internationally; compared to New Yark’s casual style, Parith’s exquisitivity, and Miland’s extravagance, Lundon was a city that fulfills one’s imagination.

It was also the most aberrant city out of all.

Since Sage was the daughter of Norah Jewelry, Fashion Week was something she had familiarized herself with. She used to attend all sorts of events with her mother since she was really young; being in and out backstage was something that happened every other day. Sage grew up around top models and fashion designers. She was given multiple opportunities to become a child celebrity, but Primrose rejected them all. Sage did not turn out to be a celebrity, but her brother, Seth, did.

Aside from being a young celebrity, he was also an actor, a singer, and a fashion icon. Any high -end luxury brands you could think of loved him and sponsored him.

The three siblings dressed casually for the city, but Sage, The Princess, alone had brought more than ten boxes with her.

Women were all the same. They loved looking pretty and having different outfits to change into. Sage had probably planned to fill the boxes to expand her collections from different brands after the show.

The brothers were familiar with that process as they had witnessed it from their mother before.

They had no choice but to continue spoiling Sage.

Tim and Sage skipped the red carpet with Seth and headed into the venue right away to watch the show. She also went backstage to say hi to the brands’ representatives whom she knew.

When Sage came out from backstage, she saw someone she had never expected to see.

“Dr S, what a coincidence.”

Madam Meyer was spotted with a custom-made gown, looking beautiful and glamorous, indistinguishable from a celebrity.

“Hello, Madam Meyer,” Sage responded politely with a professional smile. She had no intention of continuing the conversation and was just about to walk past her.

Madam Meyer stopped her and said, “Do you have time for a word or two?” “Not really.” Sage maintained her smile the whole time but was straightforward and frank. She had no time nor energy to waste on a woman whose intentions were murky. “Don’t you want to know how Sofia died?” asked Madam Meyer.

Sage was frozen in place. The corridor they were in was one of the two paths connecting backstage to the washroom, and not many people were passing by. That sentence sounded deafening in such an empty corridor.

Sage turned her head and looked at Madam Meyer with squinted eyes. “What do you mean?” Madam Meyer smiled coldly, and her delicate face looked like a mask she had put on. There was no warmth emitting from her, even from such a close distance.

It was as if she was a living dead person who had just crawled out from her grave. “Tim had told you about my relationship with Sofia, hadn’t he?” Sage’s face darkened in an instant. “What exactly are you trying to say? I don’t have time for any of your nonsense.” “I’m in love with Timothy Shelby.”

Madam Meyer leaned onto the wall and lit a stick of cigarette. She puffed, fogging her face with a cloud of smoke. “I’ve loved him for many years. The first time I came to Birmingham and saw him at the banquet, I fell in love in an instant. Ever since I was young, it had always been men who would pursue me. They would always chase after me, begging on all fours just for me to look their way. Mister Shelby was the only man who did not give a d*mn about me.” Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

Madam Meyer scoffed lightly. “But I still couldn’t help but fall for him, hard. I was head over heels for him, as if there was no one else in my world other than him!”
