A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 660

Chapter 660

The whole of Mostal had become chaotic because of Lucas’ unwelcome presence.

The surrounding air had turned cold and tense.

Melody, Yoel, Aunt Wendy, and Master Duncan all stood behind Freya, glaring fiercely at

Lucas.

Lucas came bearing gifts and health supplements as he looked deeply into Freya’s eyes and uttered gently, “Freya, I’m just here to see you, nothing else.” This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“You can leave now that you’ve seen me.”

Freya said coldly, “I don’t want to see your face.” Lucas pursed his lips and looked up at the four people standing behind Freya. “Can I talk to you? Just the two of us.” “I have nothing to say to you.” Freya spat ruthlessly, “Take your things with you and leave!” Lucas’ face showed a brief moment of embarrassment, but he had come prepared for rejection. He smiled and said, “Don’t be like that, Freya. Why can’t we just talk like friends? I went to Salem City to see our son before coming here.” “What was that for? Don’t you have anything better to do?” Freya spat coldly, “Haven’t you made his life miserable enough? Lucas Spencer, when will you start learning to become a decent man?!” Lucas felt hot in his cheeks as if somebody had just slapped him. Since becoming a Chief, he was always above everyone else. He was used to being treated with respect and worshipped, and women would do anything to get into his bed. No one would dare to insult him to his face as Freya did. Freya was the only person ever allowed to do that. No one else had that kind of privilege. Lucas felt less humiliated when he thought of it like that.

He walked toward her, put down the gifts he had brought for Freya, and said, “I brought you some turmeric powder and cordyceps, along with some supplements that are good for recovery.”

Master Duncan said before Freya could say anything, “Freya said she doesn’t want them. What part of it do you not understand? We have everything here in Mostal, we don’t need anything from you!”

Master Duncan then lifted the bag of gifts and tossed it back to Lucas, like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

Lucas observed the man before him, struggling to figure out his age. He frowned when he heard him refer to Freya by her first name and asked, “Who are you?” “Your father!” Master Duncan spat loudly. Freya could not help but laugh upon seeing his childish expression.

“Freya,” Lucas called out to her gently.

“I haven’t seen you smile in such a long time. Your smile is beautiful as always.”

Freya felt nauseated upon hearing that. She glared at him with disdain and said, “Lucas Spencer, your lover Luna might be into those cheesy lines, but it won’t work on me.”

Freya raised her browns and continued, “Speaking of your lover, isn’t she pregnant with your child? Shouldn’t you be with her instead of being here?”

Her tone was as cold as the Antarctic.

When Freya was pregnant, Lucas was having an affair with Luna. The two of them would meet in the hotel right across from Lucas and Freya’s house.

At that time, Freya’s friends would try to console her by saying that most men would do the same when their wives are pregnant. It was just how men are. However, that was not the case for Freya. She knew that Lucas was the sort of man that would never be able to settle for one.

Lucas would rather not talk about Luna in front of other people, but Freya refused to talk to him in private. He had no choice but to say it in front of everyone else.

“It’s not what you think. I’ve ended things with Luna.”

“Ended?”

Freya chuckled coldly, “I understand now. You got tired of her and wanted to get a taste of your old lover, is that right? Lucas Spencer, you truly are the trash of all trash.”

Lucas’ face sank as he uttered, “Freya…” “Melody, Yoel,” Master Duncan called out to them as he refused to stay any longer.
