Chapter 931: Big Fight
“Where’s the evidence?” Chole asked with a faint smile. “You’ve said so much, but I just want to know where your evidence is.”
“You said someone deliberately dragged you over. Who was that person?”
Chole had already arranged for the surveillance outside the lounge to be deleted, so no one would know about Rodolfo. Without evidence, Ranita’s words were just a joke.
Seeing how calm Chole was, Ranita felt a heavy stone sink in her heart, making her very uneasy.
She had no evidence.
If she just named someone randomly, no one would believe her.
“And… Ranita, you’re mistaken. What we’re talking about now is you and Brendon hugging in the lounge and letting everyone at the banquet see it.”
“Don’t confuse things.”
At that time, Ranita was so dizzy that she didn’t know what was happening.
When Brendon hugged and kissed her, she didn’t react. Later, in a daze, he took her to the hotel.
“I…”
“Enough! I will investigate these matters thoroughly. Ranita, you don’t look well; go back and rest!” Jedidiah stepped in to help Ranita, but as soon as he finished speaking, Alexia retorted, “Jedidiah, stop helping her! It’s because you’ve always spoiled her that she made such a mistake.”
Alexia felt utterly humiliated.
In the banquet hall, there were still several people she had invited for Ranita’s matchmaking. But then… her daughter turned around and hugged and kissed a man.
Brendon was famous.
But just hearing those rumors made Alexia feel anxious.
“Ranita, Chole is right… I’ve told you many times not to associate with Brendon, but did you listen?”
“No! Why do you insist on him? Isn’t it good to stay in Steland? To marry into a simple family and raise children well?” After speaking, Alexia held her forehead and collapsed onto the sofa as if she were about to faint.
“Alexia!”
“Mom!”
With shouts, Alexia fainted.
In the chaos, Ranita stayed home to take care of Benedict while Jedidiah and Chole took Alexia to the hospital.
Ranita was extremely worried but didn’t dare go to the hospital for fear of upsetting Alexia further.
She sat in her room in a daze, not even noticing when Ayaan came in.
“Mommy!” Ayaan held a cup of water with his small hands. “Mommy, drink some water.”
“I’m your little joy. I’ll cheer up Grandma. Don’t worry!” Ayaan’s soft little hand held Ranita’s hand, giving her enough courage with its warmth.
Ranita forced a smile and lifted her son onto her lap.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
“Ayaan, thank you! Mommy is fine now!”
“Mommy, you’re lying!” Ayaan pouted, his round eyes very dark. “You’re clearly very sad!”
Ranita’s eyes welled up with tears.
“With your comfort, I feel much better.” She paused and patted his head. “Really! Mommy isn’t lying to you!”
“Did you have breakfast today?”
Ayaan nodded. “I did!”
“Did Mommy eat?” Ayaan asked softly.
Ranita smiled. “Mommy… has eaten.” In fact, Ranita hadn’t eaten. With everything that had happened in the morning, she felt dizzy and her temples were throbbing.
Ranita sighed, holding Ayaan close, feeling much better instantly.
She felt truly lucky.
To have such a wonderful Ayaan!
Deciding to keep Ayaan was the best decision she had ever made.
