Baby Surprise Chapter 19

CHRISTOPHER

“Can I see you in my office?”

Walking straight into my office this morning after the other evening had been a challenge. I tried to ignore Alicia and kept walking. She cast furtive glances at me through her long lashes. My eyes may have been forward, but my peripheral vision was excellent, and she was distractingly beautiful with her hair spilling in coils around her shoulders. I feigned indifference until I got my office door closed behind me.

“You wanted to see me?” She toyed with the button at the top of her blouse.

She was playing a dangerous game. And I liked it. I swear she undulated and pulsed with raw sexual energy as she stood in the open doorway.

“Come on in."

She started to pull the door closed behind her.

“Leave it open,” I directed. Every cell in my body wanted that door closed and locked, but I had to maintain a level of professionalism. Right now, that meant not succumbing to the siren song of her lush curves, and the promise of her kisses. She stopped pulsing quite so much as she walked over to my desk to sit. With her figure, she would never be able to completely lose the wiggle in her walk, but there was emphasizing it and there was what she had been doing. Damn, she hac to know exactly what she was doing to me.

“Is there a problem Christopher?” She perched delicately on the chair across from my desk.

Her skirt lifted just above her knees. I had to use my imagination and memory to fill in the mental image of her creamy thighs. She was a distraction. All she had to do was be present and my thoughts were on a rampage.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“We need to discuss the other night I said as I cleared my throat.

Asatisfied grin spread across her face.

Atleast I wasn't going to need to apologize for my actions. Good.

“And what exactly do we need to discuss? What went wrong and how to ensure that doesn't happen again, or what went righ and how to make sure that does happen again?”

“Alittle bit of both, I think," I chuckled.

She crossed one knee over the other, hiking her skirt higher up on her thigh. I suspected she knew exactly what she was doing.

Itapped my pen on the blotter on my desk. There was too much furniture between us. I got up and leaned on the front of m desk. It felt more natural to have her closer to me.

“Are you sure you don't want me to close the door?” she purred at me.

I narrowed my gaze and weighed the pros and cons of her suggestion. Pro, I could lay her out on my desk and have my way with her. Con, we could get caught. I might be willing to take the risk. I earned my reputation here. I had proven that I could overcome a level of notoriety. I was not willing to risk Alicia having her respectability questioned.

“The door stays open,” I said. “We are going to be working closely, and late, on this presentation. People will be in and out of my office. The other night was a close call, and I think—"

She started laughing. She uncrossed her legs but crossed her arms and grimaced at me. Gone was the sex kitten, she had been replaced with a viper. A beautiful, angry, viper.

“It just figures. The second I let my guard down. You were just trying to see how long it would take, weren't you?”

I knew what road she was headed down. I needed to reroute her immediately.

“You misunderstand me. The other night was a close call, and I would not want to put you, or anyone else in the awkward position of catching us being indiscreet while at work. I think we should be more discreet with our actions. Had Martin not walked in when he had, well, he might have gotten an eye full of you."

Her posture relaxed, and her arms fell, resting her hands in her lap.

“I didn't intend on putting you in a compromising position that way."

“But you are interested in the compromising position?”

let out a low growl deep in my throat. “You have no idea what positions I would like to get you into. My intent for this conversation is for us to come to an agreement that those positions are on the table, just not while at work”

“You want to make love to me on a table? Are there dishes in this little fantasy of yours, or have you swept everything to the floor in a heated frenzy of I**t2"

I closed my eyes and leaned back. Her imagination was going to give me ideas. I wiped my hand over my eyes before looking at her. I couldn't help but laugh at her sense of humor.

“You're funny Alicia. Don't give me ideas.”

She bit her lip and batted her lashes. “You want me to write them down instead?”

We stared at each other, eyes locked and smiles on our faces. She was fun. I needed to get her away from this office. But I didn't see that happening any time soon. This conference was taking up the lion's share of my concentration.

“Write them down, save them up, and when I finally get you alone, then we can play." I took a deep breath and shook my head. I needed to get images of her gasping and moaning out of my head. “I did not intend on putting you in a compromisin position, and I don't want that happening to you.”

“What about you?”

“I'm a man. I also have recovered from a less than stellar reputation around here. And my family basically owns the place. If V'm caught having intercourse with my secretary I'm simply feeding into a pre-established bad-boy reputation people have o me. You, however, I'm aware it could damage your professional reputation and authority. I don’t want that for you.”

“You aren't breaking up with me for my own good. So what's this all about?” She crossed her legs again. Damn.

“It's about separating work and play. We are going to be in close quarters getting ready for Print-Tech. We could very easily get distracted. I think it's best if we both agree to keep hands off each other while at work."

She scrunched up her face, her little nose wiggled as she concentrated and made faces. “And when we are not at work?” “When we are together and not on work hours, I'll be a f*****g octopus. You won't be able to keep me from touching you." “50, you'll finally take me out?”

I closed my eyes and felt deflated. “Yes, I want to take you out. But not—"

“But not until Print-Tech is over. I get it. How does this sound, we agree to do nothing before the trade show? Maybe a lunch or quick dinner after work. Nothing fancy, no expectations. That way we know up front and don’t have to stress about anything. We can just enjoy each other's company away from the stress of work. And when you get back, promise me a real date. Dinner, dancing, maybe a movie, your place?”

“When I get back? You mean when we get back?”

She looked up at me with wide confused eyes.

“What do you mean we?"

“I'm going to need you by my side at Print-Tech."

Her jaw dropped, and I could tell she was about to list off all the reasons she couldn't go.

“I'm not going to trust anyone else to have my presentation running properly.”

“Christopher, it's a PowerPoint. Their tech people will be able to have it running without any hiccups.”

Ishook my head. “No, you are going to have to be there. I insist. And we will have plenty of time to be alone.” I narrowed my eyes. She was going to come with me and when I wasn't giving my big speech, or sitting in on the innovations panel, I could focus all of my energy on her. We wouldn't even need to leave my hotel room.

“Oh, wow. I guess I should see if I can get a hotel reservation and book a flight."

She stood and pressed her skirt down her hip.

I grabbed her wrist and stepped in close. “Don't worry about making a reservation, you can stay with me.”

Iran my nose over the soft skin under her ear and down her neck. Her scent was an aphrodisiac. I wanted her and I didn't care that it was barely nine in the morning.

“Christopher” Her low voice sent a shiver down my spine. She felt it too. She leaned into me, her breast soft and hot against my arm.

“Have you already forgotten why you called me into your office?”

I breathed her in and tightened my grip on her. I felt her breath hitch as her breasts moved against me.

“I haven't forgotten anything I said in a whisper against her ear. “just because it's what we should do, does not make me like it. Not when you get like this when you are next to me. And I want you next to me.”

She turned her face up to mine. I didn't give her a chance to say anything before claiming her mouth. I kissed her fiercely an in a hurry. She was right, this was everything I had just said we wouldn't do. I let go and stepped away.

“Just reminding myself what I'm waiting for. I don't think it would be a good idea if you stayed late again this evening."

She didn't move. She licked her lips while her eyes lingered on my mouth. “I think you might be right. Staying late would be bad idea.’

She looked down and this time she took the step separating us farther. “I have reservations to make. Please let me know if you need me for anything else.”

I didn't move as I watched her ass wiggle on her way out of my office. I was going to need her for so much more. And soon.
