Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

“Just call me Nelly. I prefer it that way,” Nelly interjected, her voice laced with a hint of authority.

Nelson gave her an awkward look, his eyes flickering with uncertainty. He chuckled nervously before continuing, his tone slightly submissive, “Sure, Nelly. It was my mistake that led to the mishap, Nelly. I failed to inform you about Dave’s sudden removal from the position. I should have given you a heads up, but I didn’t. Thank you for putting the past behind and supporting me in front of Alpha Morris.”

Nelly merely glanced at Nelson as he solemnly apologized, her gaze cold and unyielding. “Are you finished?” she asked, her voice devoid of any emotion.

Nelson, taken aback by her blunt response, stumbled on his words. “I-I guess so,” he stammered.

Without another word, Nelly turned on her heels and left the office, leaving Nelson speechless and filled with regret.

He had poured his heart out in his apology to Nelly, hoping for forgiveness and understanding. Yet, she had shown no sign of acceptance or compassion. It hurt him to see her being so nonchalant, but he couldn’t help but feel relieved that she didn’t seem to be planning on quitting.

As Nelly sat alone, lost in her thoughts, she made up her mind to contact Alpha Kilian. Texting him swiftly, she wrote, “You have two options. Either take the car away, or I’ll pay you for it.”

Alpha Kilian’s prompt reply shook her. “Would it seem like I forced you to buy the car if I accepted your money?”

Nelly replied, her message filled with frustration, “So you choose to keep the car then?”

Alpha Kilian clarified his stance, making it clear that he had no association with the car or the money spent. “I didn’t buy the car, and it’s not my money. Return it to Grandpa if you wish.”

Nelly was left stunned and speechless.

Returning the car or the money to Alpha King Larry seemed to be her only option, regardless of whether he accepted it graciously or not. She chose not to reply to Alpha Kilian and instead focused on her laptop, carrying out the necessary procedures. Minutes later, she sent him another text, “I’ve transferred the money to you. Please check your account.”

She pocketed her phone, a sense of helplessness creeping over her. Nelly knew she wasn’t being melodramatic; she simply wanted to keep things simple. Just like during her divorce from Alpha Kilian, where she had refused any sort of financial support, not wanting him to use it as an excuse to enter their children’s lives.

And now, faced with a car she didn’t want or need, she felt trapped.

As Nelly prepared to leave work, she noticed the bright red car parked by the entrance, a striking and attention-grabbing sight.

It wasn’t her choice of car, but she had no other option but to accept it.

As she drove, she felt the weight of people’s stares, their eyes filled with admiration for her apparent wealth. Unaccustomed to such extravagance, Nelly couldn’t help but curse Alpha Kilian and his family internally.

Arriving at the condominium, she was met with her children’s astonished expressions.

“Wow! A Phantom! Since when do we own a high-end car?” Ben exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Nelly stepped out of the car, facing her children’s inquisitive gazes. “Why are you home so early today?” Ben asked curiously.

Tony and Donna also stared at Nelly, shocked by the sight of the luxurious car. “Did you rob a bank, Nelly?” Ben questioned, trying to make sense of the situation.

Nelly rolled her eyes at their assumptions. “Do I look that poor to you?”

Ben hesitated for a moment before asking, “But I thought you hated driving. What made you change your mind?”

Nelly struggled to find an answer that wouldn’t reveal Alpha Kilian’s involvement. After a brief pause, she replied, “I wanted to get a new car for your grandfather.”

Ben looked at the bright red car, skepticism evident on his face. “A red car for Gramps? Are you sure that’s suitable?”

Unwilling to explain further, Nelly snapped, “What’s wrong with a red car? It’s vibrant and eye-catching.”

Ben, silenced by her response, couldn’t help but imagine himself driving the car. Meanwhile, Donna had already snuck into the car, reveling in the luxurious experience. “This is pure indulgence!” she exclaimed, poking her head out of the window. “Can Gramps drive me to school in this car?”

Nelly nodded, a hint of amusement in her eyes. “Of course, he can drive you to the heavens if you want.”

Donna was taken aback by Nelly’s response, still processing her words before finally saying, “Thank you, Nelly.”

In contrast, Tony appeared more composed. After inspecting the car, he couldn’t help but ask, “How much did it cost?”

Nelly paused for a moment before replying, “Around ten million, I think.”

Tony raised an eyebrow, sensing her uncertainty. “Around?”

Nelly shrugged, her lack of awareness evident. “I don’t remember the exact price.”

Tony nodded thoughtfully. “That amount could cover our family expenses for a while.”

Nelly felt a pang of guilt at his words, realizing how frivolous she had been. Meanwhile, Alpha Wade approached her, his eyes filled with confusion. “Why did you buy such an expensive car, Nelly?”Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

Knowing that explaining to Alpha Wade wouldn’t be easy, Nelly chose not to elaborate. Instead, she chuckled and said, “I felt like spoiling myself after working so hard for so long.”

Alpha Wade continued to study her, skepticism in his eyes. “But isn’t this excessive?”

After a brief moment of contemplation, Nelly replied with a resigned tone, “We’ll have to tighten our belts in the future.”

Little did she know the impact her impulsive purchase would have on their lives.
