Alpha’s Regret Pregnant Rejected Luna

Chapter 124

Chapter 124

Hazel

My mind has been all over the place recently. I’ve been having this anxious, like something serious is

about to happen.

“You’re probably just overthinking it Hazel. Everything will be just fine.” Dove whispers

to me.

Yes.

It’s just Daisy approaching surgery that has me feel rattled.

“I think it’s about time Ethan knows the truth Hazel.” Dove whispers to me.

Yes, I completely agree to this. Although Nathan sees differently. Nathan’s plan is that we just get up

and leave immediately after the surgery, but would that actually be fair? Ethan loves these kids. He

loves them but what about Bella? A nagging voice crept up inside of me.

Bella was obviously up to no good. What if she harmed them?

I sighed. Ethan wasn’t really an issue again, what scared me more was the fear of his reaction, how his

reaction would be. Would he demand custody? Would he be angry I fooled his all this while? Would he

take my kids? I didn’t see this ending well for me. Bella as a step mother? That image gave me

nightmares. That woman had no paternal warmth or bone in her. Her badly harming my kids randomly

without knowing they were mine, how much worse would she be when she finds out they’re Ethan’s

and my

kids.

It would be terrible. If there was no Bella I would definitely take the risk. I can’t help but think of Nathan,

he had done everything he could for us. But would it be right? My kids Father was alive, and eager to

have a place in their lives. Having someone play that role seemed too cruel to not just my kids but

Ethan as well.

“Liam, don’t wander too far, okay?” I call out to my son.We are currently sitting at the hospital park, a

vast expanse of greenery that adds a friendly touch to the medical environment. This was one of the

reasons I love cleaveland hospital, they have everything This open space proves beneficial for the

inpatients, offering a refreshing and uncluttered atmosphere, a complete change of scenery. Not only

were the management catering for it’s patients health, but also other aspects as well.

Daisy is busy happily riding a bike.

“One Ethan bought for her.” Dove says in a singsong way.

Ethan’s assistant had just showed up randomly one morning with a pink bicycle after Daisy mentioned

it just once. The man spoilt them to the heavens!

More reason why I felt terrible. Ethan’s interaction with them was pure, that connection was there.

Kids deserve having both parents in their lives. Ethan was there, anxious and eager to

present in their lives even though he thinks they aren’t his.

“No Bella, no problems.” I can’t help but sigh once more.

The woman had come out from nowhere all of a sudden. The fact she could frame me and tell lies was

clear, my kids would not be safe around her.

And their marriage, Ethan didn’t seem happy.

For now, I’ll just let things go with the flow.

I wasn’t as stiff with Ethan any longer. He could visit whenever he wanted. And gifts from him? Liam

would kill me if I ever have them returned. Those small things, I would let them indulge.

Liam’s playing running around playing fetch with a dog.

A dog I don’t know or remember having.

Axel suddenly materialized with one a while ago.

The puppy was actually very cute. That dog couldn’t be Ethan’s? Could Ethan have a pet puppy? I

wondered. It didn’t seem fitting though.

But I was sure it Couldn’t be Axel’s. I can’t imagine Axel owning a pet, the guy seems just too, what’s

the word …?

“Like an AI? A robot?” Dove asked and I snickered. That was it. He seemed too proper and overly

dignified in a serious kind of way, plus he barely smiled. He had a bland face that was most times

expressionless. A handsome face though, just rather a sad looking

one.

My eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for Liam, who had slipped out of my sight.

I had seen him in a while now.

Then, in the distance, I spotted him – attempting to retrieve his ball. Almost

instinctively, I was about to look away when my heart s kip ped a beat, and time seemed to freeze.

08 07 Mon, 15 Jan

A white van came hurtling towards him, and a surge of anxiety gripped me.

“Liam! Look out!” I yelled, my voice echoing my panic as I sprinted toward him.The world around me

blurred, the air became heavy, and the ordinary park setting morphed into a stage of impending danger.

Each step I took felt like a monumental effort, my heart pounding in my chest. Sweat formed on my

forehead, and every breath was a struggle. The sound of my own warning lingered in the air, charged

with urgency. As I closed the distance, the gravity of the situation intensified. Emotions swirled within

me – fear, helplessness. No goddess no!

I was too far away.

A mere moment ago, the ambiance was one of joy, painted in the vibrant hues of green. Everything

was the epitome of normality until the abrupt shift unfolded. Hazel’s feet pounded the ground, carrying

her urgently to the other side, where a white van now lay crumpled against a tree. Panic surged

through her as her eyes desperately scanned for Liam, her heart half-expecting the worst.

“Liam!” she screamed, spotting him huddled safely away from the van’s destructive path. “Liam! Liam!

Are you okay?” she called feverishly, her hands running over his little b*dy anxiously. He was

untouched, unharmed by the chaos that had just unfolded. A wave of relief swept over Hazel, and she

clutched him tightly, nearly brought to tears by the intensity of her emotions.

As the crowd gathered, murmurs rippled through;

“Did you see what happened? Some guy grabbed that little boy out of the way.” People talked amongst

themselves.

“Liam!” She looked at his face. “Mummy.” He called her softly burying his face into her chest. “Where

did that come from?!” Someone yelled. It was a white van on high speed that had suddenly run out of

control almost hitting Liam.

Amidst the chaos, someone yelled about the van almost hitting Liam. Hazel, still holding him close,

checked him over, her heart racing with concern. “My baby! My baby, you’re okay! Oh, thank

goodness,” Hazel cried in a mixture of relief and gratitude. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

While people discussed the mysterious savior, a black-jacketed figure who had acted just in time,

Hazel’s attention wavered. The van, now emptied of occupants, left a trail of unanswered questions

lingering in the air.

“Oww, mummy, my arm,” Liam cried as Hazel attempted to stand.

She checked him immediately searching for broken bones.

“It’s just a small wound; you’ll be fine,” she assured him relief evident in her voice then lifting him up

and heading towards the hospital.

“Daisy!” Hazel yelled looking around for her daughter.

“Daisy!”

“Mummy.” Daisy called walking to her.

“I’ll bring her in,” an elderly woman offered holding Daisy’s small arm. The twins were known and

beloved in the hospital.

“There was an accident,” Axel urgently announced, interrupting Ethan’s meeting. Panic etched across

Ethan’s face as Axel delivered the news. “It’s Liam.”

“What?!” Ethan bolted out of his office, Axel following closely. With determination, Axel took the lead.

“I’ll drive, get out,” he ordered, recognizing that Ethan’s distraught state could jeopardize their safety

and other road users.

“Liam! Liam!” Ethan’s desperate calls echoed through the corridors as they rushed towards the wards.

Upon entering the ward, relief and anxiety collided in Ethan’s eyes as he saw a nurse tending to Liam’s

injuries.

“Ethan,” Hazel’s tear-filled eyes met his, her voice a soft whisper.

Ethan’s gaze zeroed in on Liam. “Are you okay?!” he asked, his eyes hovering over him anxiously.

“Yes,” Liam nodded quietly, and Ethan enveloped him in a tight hug. “You’re okay,” Ethan murmured,

his hands tracing over Liam’s head gently, a heavy breath escaping him in relief.

“What happened? Axel just informed me. A bus ran out of control and nearly hit Liam?” He asked

gently.

“How’s that even possible?!” Ethan fumed, his frustration evident and directed to the hospital director

and manager as they entered the ward. “We’re trying to understand it, sir.” The man said apologetically.

“Can you hear yourself?!” Ethan yelled in frustration. Their explanations fell short, leaving a bitter taste

of confusion.

“Ethan,” Hazel’s tearful voice pulled his attention. “Someone grabbed him just in the nick of time. I can’t

even imagine what would have happened.” Her voice trembled with the weight of the near-tragedy

“He’s fine now,” Ethan reassured, crossing the room to embrace Hazel.

“I can’t imagine, right in front of my eyes, Ethan. I almost lost Liam!” She sobbed.

“He’s fine now,” Ethan repeated, gently rubbing her back as she sobbed. Nathan entered at that

moment, shooting accusatory glances at Ethan.

“Everything okay in here?” he inquired sharply.

“Yes,” Hazel separated from Ethan, wiping her tear-streaked face.

After spending some time ensuring Liam and his sister were fine, Ethan finally left. Axel reported during

their ride home, “The van was empty, it’s from a neighboring mall.” While Ethan had hurried off to tend

to check on the kids, Axel had taken it upon himself to investigate the peculiar incident. “There was no

one driving it, no camera footage either. I looked into it,” Axel explained.

Ethan sighed, realizing the situation was more complex than a mere accident. “I don’t think that was an

accident,” Axel concluded, mirroring Ethan’s suspicions. “It couldn’t possibly be. The hospital thinks the

bus ran out of control, but I think there’s more to it,” Ethan added thoughtfully.

“Any reports on the man that saved Liam?” Ethan inquired, hoping for some lead in unraveling the

mysterious circumstances.

“None, onlookers didn’t see his face. All they said is that he was in black overalls, and that was it.”

“Whoever he is, I owe him,” Ethan muttered with a sigh. He then instructed Axel, “Try to find him. The

driver of the bus, the person who had stolen it as well.”

“Already on it,” Axel responded promptly.

“Did you do what I asked?” Ethan questioned, referring to a matter that seemed to weigh heavily on his

mind. “I’m on it,” came Axel’s reply.

“Although I don’t understand why you insist on running another one,” Axel commented, expressing his

confusion.

“I just have a feeling. You wouldn’t understand it, Axel. I don’t understand it either. Those kids, they’re

mine. I just know it,” Ethan confessed, grappling with conflicting

emotions.

“The first results said they weren’t,” Axel reminded him.

“I know,” Ethan snapped, frustrated. “Maybe there was a mistake, a mix up with the samples. Those

kids have to be mine!” He growled with determination.

“They aren’t,” Axel sighed, aware of the emotional turmoil his friend was experiencing.

“My head tells me they’re not mine, my senses tell me otherwise, my heart tells me otherwise,” Ethan

reflected. “I just need one last confirmation. Something might have happened with the first sample,” he

pleaded for understanding.

Axel sighed, seeing Ethan’s conviction, “Just do it, would you.” Ethan insisted.

Axel sighed expressing his concern, “Fine. I just hope you don’t get hurt, Ethan.” He was worried and

convinced the second test report would end up disappointing him.

“The other reports are out though, the ones from the drink,” Axel informed him, providing a shift in the

conversation.
