Anita’s Voice: Behind the Headlines

Chapter 53: Free

Chapter 53: Free

Soon, she heard some noises. Opening her eyes, she saw some men on black opening the gate of the room she was in.

Anita froze

She opened her eyes widely to look and then she noticed that these men were very different from the actual people holding her hostage.

Who were these ones then?

Her heart started beating very fast.

Oh goodness!

Not long after, she saw the gate to the room go open and in some split seconds, these men walked to her and grabbed her out, carrying her in their arm.

As they came out, she saw the actual kidnappers laying on the floor unconscious.

They had fainted.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

But how?

She couldn’t understand.

After a few minutes, she found herself in a car close to the main road.

Seemed like those people were her saviors. But they weren’t saying anything to her.

It was not until she heard one of them assuring their master that she was safe did she collapsed in exhaustion.

“Anita is safe!” Cass told Kate who was finding it hard to eat dinner.

Kate froze!

Did she just heard something?

Her eyes widened. She placed down her spoon as she didn’t know if she should cry or laugh.

“What did you just say?”

“Your girlfriend is safe. All thanks to Andre.” he told her.

“Please I want to see her.” Kate stood up immediately.

“I know, but it’s late. Relax, we will go there tomorrow.” he urged her, but she had already stood up.

“Please. I need to go to her. Please take me to her.” she begged almost in tears.

Cass could not refuse her anymore, so he took her out and drove her to City hospital.

Kate had never thought that she and Anita would ever had to face what they were going through at the moment.

How disappointing. She walked with a hand on her chest as she played that everything would be fine with her friend.

The first thing Kate laid her eyes on when she git to the ward’s door was Anita who was laying on the hospital bed helplessly.

As she watched her, teats streamed down her fave and in the next moment, she was already by the bedside hugging her right until a nurse had to separate them for Anita’s health.

“I can’t believe we are together again. I am so happy Anita.” she cried out.

Cass held her as he tried his best to help her calm down even though he knew he couldn’t.

“These ladies bond was undeniably stronger than he had imagined.

“I need to cook for her.” Kate said after some minutes of crying.

“I have ordered meals for you both. Don’t worry, it will arrive first thing tomorrow.” Cass informed her and made a bed available for her to relax till the next morning while he used a chair.

Anita’s kidnappers had woken from their slumber and we’re already in confusion in the middle of the night.

It was a very big shock to them that some people were able to badge in and take away their hostage with having to face them or exchange blows and bullets with them.

“Urrghh I will kill you Thomas!” they screamed as they destroyed anything they were able to lay their eyes on.

One of them picked up his and dialed Thomas’ number.

“So you succeeded in taking her away. I promise you death by the time I come across any thing precious to you.”

Thomas froze.

“I haven’t taken her. My people had been arrested. What happened to her? Listen, if anything happen to her, I might as well roast you all alive.” he threatened and ended the call with a deep rant.

He was sure none of his team had made a move because he had made sure if that.

Would she have tried to escape and succeed? He asked himself, because he was pretty sure that no other group could dare do that. He rubbed his head as he sat in the garden with his drugs in hand.

After a few minutes after midnight, he walked into his house to his room and started testing the newly produced drugs.

The next morning, Andre appeared at the hospital after being informed last night that Anita has been found and in a good condition.

He also ordered more meals and personally brought it to the hospital.

Anita had a long and cool sleep the night before after been injected by the nurses at the hospital. The liquids helped her sleep without stress and when she some up, she felt energetic than before.

Seeing her people, she didn’t know if she should smile or cry, so she combined the both which looked comical to them.

Kate was feeling so grateful to God as she hugged her tightly while the men looked on.

“I’m so glad you are back. I really missed you Anita.”

“I missed you too.”

“Sit up to have your meal dear. Look, Cass ordered, then Andre brought you more.” Kate said as she helped Anita sit up while helping her arrange her hair for her to eat without distractions.

“How are you feeling?” Andre voice came through.

“I’m fine.” Anita replied with a light smile.

“We are happy you are back.” Cass added.

Anita felt grateful as she looked at the three people in her front.

She felt like she was home, but she didn’t know where the exact feelings came from.

“By the way, how is Thomas and Liam?” she asked.

Kate froze.

She had not expected the question to come so soon.

“They are fine. Have some food.”

“I know they are fine. They should be, but my question is why aren’t they here? I expected to see them here.”

“But they aren’t, so yeah!”

Anita froze at the response she got.

Were there having issues?

She then took her attention away and started eating.

“I know by now, Madam Cross will be so upset with me because of my absence.”
