Chapter 1529 Awakening
Chapter 1529 Awakening
Lilly lay in a deep slumber. No one was able to predict when she would awaken.
The world continued to evolve as she slept. A new The Order was restructuring the world. Thus, there
were numerous matters in the underworld that required immediate attention.
"You guys go ahead. I'll watch over her," Ivan said solemnly, sitting upright.
Blake clapped him on the shoulder as he deliberately pressed down on Ivan. He curled his lips into a
plastic smile as he said, "You're truly something, kid!"
Ivan nodded seriously, unaffected by the threat contained within the gesture. "Yes! Thank you for the
compliment, Mr. MacNeil!"
Blake could only stare as his threat fell completely flat before Ivan.
Meanwhile, Earth Goddess was crouching. Why was she doing such a thing? Well, she was busy
observing Emperor Eastmount.
Matthan was utterly oblivious to his silent observer as he ran around with a look of wonder on his face!
"Wow! That's such a big butterfly! It's even bigger than grandma's largest pan!"
"Woah! Fruit! I want it!"
Lisa sat up in confusion as she watched her son play in the yard with wide eyes. For a moment, she
thought she had returned to the Human Realm. Still, how did her tiny son suddenly become so big?
"Two years old... Three years old... Four years old..."
Wait, how old was her son now?!
…
A week later, Emperor Blake returned from the underworld to check on Lilly's condition. He touched her
head and whispered, "Why hasn't she woken up yet? She's such a sleepy little thing."
Two weeks later, Blake returned from the Human Realm bearing an armful of gifts.
"Since you didn't go home for Christmas this year, your grandmother specially made you some food."
Jean had accompanied him this time. She didn't care that she wasn't going to receive a response as
she remarked lightly, "These are all your favorites! Look at how well she knows you. How could you
sleep through these wonderful scents, you little glutton?"
Three weeks later, Bettany was strolling through her garden in the Human Realm. She would
occasionally look toward the gate as she murmured under her breath, "I guess Lilly still hasn't woken
up. It's okay. Take your time, Lilly. I'll be patient."
Lilly had been unconscious for four weeks in the Nether, which equated to another two years in the
Human Realm.
She forced herself to wake from her impromptu Sleeping Beauty time.
Her surroundings were quiet as Blake and Ivan had both left.
Suddenly, Lilly opened her eyes. At that moment, the legendary Sea-Wyvern, which had spanned
thousands of miles long, let out an exhilarating roar behind her!
When she opened her eyes, it seemed as if the entire world, universe, stars, and dust were all
contained within her gaze.
"Lilly!" Lisa entered with something in her hands. She was so overwhelmed by delight that she
instinctively loosened her grip on the pot, causing it to fall with a loud clang! Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Lilly! Lilly! Lilly!" Lisa couldn't contain her excitement as she picked Lilly up and spun her around.
"Aunt Lisa!" Lilly couldn't help but let out an exasperated huff, "Put me down!"
Fortune and the others entered, their expressions pained as they looked at the fallen pot!
There was a 'big goose' in it, and they had planned to make a delicious stew with that pot!
A six-year-old child rushed in. The heartbroken expression on his face was evident as he yelled in
dismay, "No! What did you do to my goose stew?!"
He quickly picked up the pot as he scrambled to salvage the ingredients scattered on the ground with
Fortune and the others.
"Mom, why did you throw the pot—" He looked up and was stunned when he saw Lilly! "L-Lilly?!" He
looked incredulous, resulting in the pot he had just picked up falling to the ground again!
Fortune stared at the utterly abused kitchenware in resignation. He looked up belatedly as he
wondered, What on Earth could be more important than the stewed goose?
He blinked dumbly before bending down to pick it up once more. Then, he suddenly snapped his head
up to really look at what was playing before him!
"Lilly!"
He was about to dash over to hug her!
Alas, Matthan slapped Fortune's face, sending him flying. "Lilly is mine!"
Then, Matthan rushed over and hugged Lilly all by himself. "Lilly, you're awake. You finally woke up! If
you keep sleeping, I might end up being a teenager by the time you decide to wake up from your
beauty sleep!"
After Lilly fell into a coma, Blake promptly hauled Matthan away and sent the boy back to the Human
Realm.
His protest fell upon deaf ears as he was kicked to Kindergarten.
During the winter vacation, he went to the Nether to visit Lilly while his classmates went to their
grandparents' houses.
Frankly, he didn't expect to catch Lilly waking up!
Lilly looked at the beaming grins on their faces and felt a weight being lifted off her shoulders.
Nonetheless, she also felt as if she had been transported to a different world.
Gradually, her eyes became moist as tears welled up in them. The unfamiliarity didn't bother her as it
only proved to her that she had succeeded in her endeavor.
She had returned. Although she had become the Manifestation of God's will, she was always gazing
upon her precious people within the swirling cosmos.
In the end, she chose to return.
She was still just a child. So, the vast world held no temptation to her. Instead, she only wanted her
home. She wanted to jump into her grandmother's embrace; she wanted to carry her school bag and
go to school like normal kids; she wanted to fully experience life as a human.
At that moment, a tall and slender teenager, approximately 18 years old, entered her room. He was
momentarily stunned before he blurted in surprise, "Lilly!"
Lilly blinked as a joyful smile suddenly appeared on her face.
…
Ivan held a bead swirling with starlight in his hand.
He was sitting alone on the edge of a cliff as a Black Dragon coiled behind him.
"Great Emperor, why didn't you follow her?"
Ivan spoke in a low voice. It was as if she was responding to the Black Dragon while reminding himself,
"Now the Nether is hers. I hope she will go home. That way, I'll handle the rest for her."
The new Manifestation of God's will brought new responsibilities.
The greater the power, the greater the responsibility.
Regardless, he genuinely felt that she didn't need to worry about these things for now. All she needed
to do was to go home to meet her grandmother, who had been waiting for her, to continue the life she
had left behind.
The Black Dragon inquired again, "Great Emperor, what about you? You've stopped aging at 18. You
won't grow any older, right? Aren't you afraid you won't be able to return?"
It had to be troublesome to live perpetually as an 18-year-old in the Human Realm!
Then again, Ivan had already achieved the highest possible rank as a cultivator. He was now the new
and undisputed Great Emperor. So, it wasn't as though it mattered if he decided to return to the Human
Realm.
Ivan thought the same. Therefore, he didn't really care about whether he could traverse within the
Human Realm.
However, Black Dragon suddenly muttered, "She's only 15 years old. The current Manifestation of
God's will is still growing."
Lilly had not frozen herself at the age of 15.
"So, when she becomes older, like 20 or 25... will she find a new boyfriend?"
Ivan fell deathly silent.
Black Dragon continued, utterly oblivious, "I've heard that girls don't like being in relationships with
younger boys."
Ivan could feel his eyes narrowing as he listened to the Black Dragon.
Black Dragon added, "Great Emperor, are you waiting for the Manifestation of God's will? Don't you
think you've stopped aging too early? Nowadays, girls prefer mature men. A 25-year-old man is
definitely more attractive than an 18-year-old boy..."
Ivan's frustration grew as he raised his voice, "Enough!"
Caught off guard, Black Dragon received a smack on the head, resulting in a large bump forming on his
forehead.
