Chapter 238 What Is Wrong With You

Zack didn't expect Jean to be so complacent and forgiving. He paused a bit and the remorse on his

face became even more evident.

"I knew that you won't cheat on Zed and flirt with other men. It's my fault. I had some wine last night,

got pretty drunk and had little or no control over my behavior."

Jean, suddenly stopped whatever she was doing and the smile on her face vanished. She looked up at

Zack abruptly.

Zack was going to express his anger about the events that happened the night before but when he saw

the look on Jean's face, he changed his mind and said nothing.

"What did you just say? Me? Flirt with other men?" Jean's eyes seemed like they were on fire. She did

not like what Zack was trying to say and took offense to it. She did not hide her anger about it either.

"Don't get mad, Jean! Didn't you just say... it's all over now?" How Zack wished he had stopped himself

before causing something like this.

His big mouth had caused him much trouble since last night. He wasn't even discreet and cautious

enough not to hurt Jean's feelings now.

Zack couldn't regret more for what he just blurted out. But it was too late. He could never take it back.

"Zack, tell me exactly what you have heard." Jean looked at Zack as if she was looking through him,

body and soul, and ordered him in a cold voice.

Zack hadn't dealt with Jean many times, but every time he saw her, he could feel the gentleness and

charm surrounding her. But now, all he could feel was her seriousness and the irrefutable dignity in her

"It's just a friend of mine who had seen someone that looked like you at the club and paid extra

attention. He saw you with the girl from the Qin family dating two men. So, he added some extra details

to his story. And of course, the words that came out of my friend weren't nice. In his eyes, two men and

two women could only be dating."

Zack explained in a low voice, looking around to make sure that no one else heard that.

"Just because he saw that we were two men and two women, he made the quick judgement that we

were dating?" A hint of mockery played on Jean's face. "Then if he saw one man with another woman,

like what we are doing now, is he going to say that we are dating?"

"It's, of course, not the same. You are the wife of my friend." Zack got anxious and explained, talking

fast.

"Mr. Xing, now you know the feeling of being wrongly judged! I wonder if you guys are really that into

gossip?"

Jean gave Zack a furious stare and left the table without finishing her breakfast.

Zack stared, tongue-tied and scratched his head as Jean made her way out of the restaurant. He then

paid the bill, picked up his luggage and left in a hurry, leaving the breakfast he was having, mostly

untouched.

She knocked on the door almost banging on it in fury. It was not after a while did Eva open the door.

Behind it was Eva's sleepy face.

She didn't expect Jean to be standing outside her door. When she came to, and realized who it was,

she was startled.

"Jean, why... are you here?" Eva asked while battling the confusion, sleepiness and panic mixing in her

head.

She was obviously both surprised and hesitant.

'Has Jesse already started to carry out her plan last night?

Is that why Jean now came to me to give me some tongue lashing?' Eva braced herself.

"Eva, let me ask you. The video of that night, do you have any copy of it left?" Jean didn't beat around

the bush and went straight to the point.

"The video......" Eva's face turned pale as the thing she worried about had finally come true.

She really came to her for that.

Eva never thought that Jesse could act so fast.

Had she seen that coming, she would have checked out last night. Or she would not be standing here

caught by Jean.

It was so terrible. What would Jean do to Eva?

Having noticed Eva ill at ease, Jean sighed and rolled her eyes. "I don't mean anything else. I just

wanted to ask you if you have the full video. If you do, please give it to me. I need it for something."

Eva looked at Jean puzzled. She did not sound like she came here to scold Eva, more like she came

here to beg her.

"You should know, I won't tell you what I need it for. Do you have the full video?" Jean looked at Eva

and asked again.

"I gave the video to a friend of mine and asked him to process it. Then he sent me the processed video

and I have already deleted it in front of you. Remember? As for the full video, I don't know if my friend

still has it......"

Eva said with hesitation.

"Can you do me a favor and ask your friend about it?" Jean asked.

"Jean, what do you want this video for? Has anything happened?" Feeling something was off, Eva

asked cautiously.

other end of the phone, "Eva, good for you! Where did you get this video? I posted the processed

version online and the hits have already exceeded a million views overnight. And the views and shares

keep going up. The comments are all reproving and mocking that woman. Eva, I did you a big favor this

time. How will you repay me......"

Eva didn't to hear the rest of what the man on the other side of the phone said.

She stood there stupefied like a puppet.

"Eva......" Noticing the shock on Eva's face, Jean asked, getting worried.

Jean looked at her, puzzled and then she frowned.

Eva explained in a hurry, trying to cover it up.

"Fine, I really need that video. I'm counting on you, Eva." Jean nodded at Eva without any doubt.

"Got it, just trust me!" Eva responded with a smile.

"Then it's settled. I'll head back now. Do call me as long as you get anything." Then Jean flashed a

smile at Eva and left.

Eva looked at Jean's back with mixed feelings, then she shut the door and dialed back quickly.

"Lance Wang, what's the matter with you? Who told you to post it online? Are you out of your mind?"

Eva almost screamed into the phone with one hand on her hips and her face, red with anger.

"Eva, I am confused. Why did you hang up on me for no reason? What is wrong with you?"
