Chapter 255 You Are Crazy
Chapter 255 You Are Crazy
"We didn't quarrel. Actually, it is far more serious than a quarrel. Please stop asking." Jean raised her
head. Her face was red and puffy due to all the crying. Her voice came out as croaky when she spoke.
"How can it be so serious?" Jesse rolled her eyes thinking Jean must have exaggerated the fight. She
racked her brain and tried to figure out a reason for Zed's sudden anger.
"Did you go on a date with another man behind Zed's back?" Jesse's thoughts stopped at this idea
because that seemed to be plausible.
Jean slowly stopped crying when she heard Jesse's accusation. She stared at Jesse and asked, "What
do you know?"
"I don't know anything. That's why I am guessing." Jesse sighed and raised her hand as if surrendering
herself.
"Guess? Really? Is that all?" Jean questioned. She didn't believe that Jesse had no idea about their
problems. Slowly, she stood and wiped her face casually with the back of her hand. Frowning, she
looked at Jesse and said, "Not long ago, when we were in the resort, I happened to hear that you said
something to Eva. Jesse, if I ever come to know this was all your plan then you are dead."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Jesse retorted looking puzzled. Her eyes widened and looked
like they would fall out of the socket any second. She thought hard and something seemed to hit her.
She was rather surprised looking at Jean and put forward a question. "Did Zed really see the video
shot by Eva? That's too terrible. Then it is understandable why Zed is so angry. As far as I am
concerned, you have been leading such a happy life that you even forgot your role as Zed's wife. It is
alright for you to get on with others. But you were rather silly to drink with another man. Well, you asked
for it! Now that Zed is infuriated by you, it is not an easy task for you to win his forgiveness. Wait and
see if he will ever forgive you!"
As Jesse continued to speak, she even gloated. Her tone was quite sarcastic and Jean detected it
easily.
"You still won't admit that you planned all this? I was confused about Eva's attitude when I met her in
the morning. I was wondering why she seemed to have something to tell me but left without saying
anything. Now I seem to know the reason. Did you go to talk with her in secret? You worked together to
scheme and plot. Then Eva smartly gave me this useless video, am I right?" Jean grabbed Jesse's arm
wanting to get an answer out of her.
"Jean, you're slinging mud at me -- that's sheer nonsense!" These accusations brought Jesse's rage,
so she yelled back. "You can eat whatever you like, but you don't have the right to smite me with the
tongue. Have you thought about the consequence resulting from your words? I can sue you for
defamation."
"Go and sue me! My life is already a mess so there is nothing I am afraid of." Jean's eyes were red with
great anger. She said indifferently and her tone showed that she cared for nothing.
"Crazy. You are really crazy." Jesse was rather dumbfounded to see Jean's red eyes and angry face.
She sighed and said, "Take it easy. I know you are doubting me now. But you should not get so fired up
as if you were about to eat me. Calm down, Ok? Things have already happened. What you need to do
now is to come up with a solution instead of making things worse by throwing yourself into another
trouble. Yes, I admit that I knew Eva shot everything that happened in the club. But I hate to use such
methods when dealing with others.
I admit that I don't like you and even hate you. But you are Zed's wife. So even if I don't care about you,
I have to think about Zed's feelings. Once your reputation is ruined, so does Zed's. And I would never
do anything to ruin his reputation."
Jesse explained in a calm manner.
Such mature words from Jesse amazed Jean. She raised her head to look into Jesse's eyes and
realized this time there was no sarcasm. "Finally, you admit that you don't like me and even hate me.
So, in order to stay with Zed, you have used all kinds of methods to throw me out of this house. Am I
right?"
Anger crept onto Jesse's face, but she spoke in a cool tone, "I know that you are losing your mind right
now. I am wasting my time talking to you. I will leave you alone. Calm down and think about what I just
said. I am going to find Zed now."
Jesse finished saying her words and ran out quickly.
'She is going to find Zed...'
Jean burst into a laughter suddenly. She realized that she was turning into a maniac.
She laughed and smiled all at once with her dress completely wet due to all the crying.
The fact that Zed had dumped her gave Jesse the golden opportunity to approach him.
Jean felt quite sorry for herself. She was lonely with no one to rely on. She hadn't done anything wrong,
yet she was being treated unjustly. At that moment she was forgotten and dumped by the whole world.
No one would come to her rescue.
She fell to the ground and huddled herself tightly in the corner. She sincerely wished to disappear from
the world at that moment.
Jean thought to herself, 'Why am I so cold?
Why does my heart ache?
Men's words can never be trusted. They promise all sort of things, but in the end everything is a lie.
When I need you most, Zed, how could you be so cruel? You even didn't want to listen to my
explanation and completely denied everything I have done for you. Did you forget all our sweet time?'
Jean closed her eyes with great pain and felt her tears glide down her cheeks.
On the other hand, Zed, who was also very angry, drove to his company at a rather high speed.
The disappointment and anger inside him seemed to be drowning him. Every time he breathed, he felt
nothing but pain. No matter how hard to try, he couldn't delete Jean's video out of his mind.
He pondered, 'Jean, see what you have done to me. Can't you understand how much I trust you? I
have supported and tried to understand you unconditionally. Yet the rewards that you give me are so © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
hurtful. How silly am I to find this out now! This is completely absurd, and I am the biggest idiot in the
world.
Jean, why did you flirt with another man behind my back and lie to me? How could you make such a lie
about accompanying Maranda to have a blind date?
What a perfect lie! I still can't believe how foolish I was to believe these lies.
If I hadn't seen the video, I would still be falling for your trap. Anyway, at last I know clearly what kind of
person you are.'
Zed, whose face was stern and sallow, walked directly to the top floor of the Qi Group. There was a
luxurious room on it and that's where he was heading to.
That room had been set up for him in case he would be tired from work.
Since Jean came to his home, he never needed the room. He always rushed out of the office and
headed home straight to his wife after work. Now it seemed like this room would be his shelter.
It was understandable that Zed was unwilling to go home. The idea of sharing the same room with that
woman unnerved him.
He wanted them both to sit separately and contemplate their relationship. If things got worse, he
intended to end it.
Zed just realized they fell in love a little too soon. He was such an idiot in love that he barely bothered
to get to know her properly.
And now he wanted to see who Jean was. He wanted to see the person underneath all the sweetness.
The anger in Zed's heart, however, negated all Jean's virtues.
He went to the bathroom and took a cold bath. The water did him some good as he felt a little calmer
when he came out.
When he reached out for the towel to dry his hair, the bell started to ring.
Zed frowned wondering who it could be and walked towards the door. On opening, he saw Jesse with
her charming yet anxious face. He turned his back without saying a word.
Jesse stared at Zed as if to read his mind. On finding that the anger on his face was not as strong as
before, she felt relieved.
"Zed, don't be angry." She walked into the room and tried to comfort him. "No one would expect such a
matter to happen. It can only be said that a person with special purposes saw it and shot the video..."
His anger might have been completely gone, but Jesse realized mentioning Jean may bring it back.
"Are you saying that it was that person's mistake? You think it is better for me to stay in darkness?" Zed
asked with a cold face.
"I certainly don't mean that." Jesse hurried to explain herself, "After all, it hasn't been long since you
married her. So I can understand that you don't have a deep understanding of Jean. Actually, it is not
too late for you to know the truth now. Jean is still young and you still have time to teach her how to be
a good wife. I firmly believe she regrets what happened and won't repeat the mistake in the future..."
"Jesse, whose side are you on? What good does Jean do to you? Why do you speak up for her? What
do you mean by saying that I can teach her how to be a good wife? And how can you confidently say
she won't repeat the same mistake?" Zed's calm composure turned into a rage on hearing Jesse's
sympathy for Jean. He stared at her with bulging red eyes. "She is my wife but not a three-year-old girl.
Why should I bother myself to teach her common sense and etiquette? More importantly, she is
shameless and cares nothing about me or my reputation."
When he finished the last sentence, his chest rose and fell heavily with anger. He looked rather terrible
with fury. Jesse noticed he wasn't done and was about to erupt like a volcano.
Secretly, Jesse's eyes flashed across with pleasure. She was gloating internally.
In actuality, she supported Jean on purpose because she clearly knew Zed's personality and was
positive he would never forgive Jean.
