Chapter 306 Let Her Go!
Chapter 306 Let Her Go!
Someone quickly grabbed her arms and Jean, supported by an unknown, did not tumble. Hoping
secretly that it was Zed, she looked up to see her knight in shining armour.
But her inward delight was stricken down and she scowled on finding out that it was Gregory who was
supporting her. Feeling disappointed, she forced a smile and stood up immediately.
At that very moment, Zed and Jesse walked by her, taking no notice of her at all.
She could clearly feel the obvious coldness and indifference those two were treating her with as they
passed.
It was like falling into a pit made of ice. Jean felt cold as death and was hard to breathe in.
She felt anoxic as though all the oxygen had been pumped out and things started getting blurry.
She tried hard to hold back her tears and lowered her head so that no one could notice her emotions.
'Why is this happening?'
Jean asked herself. 'How did it come to this?'
Zed had been so tender to her a few days ago and it was evident how much he loved her.
Only a few days had passed and everything had changed!
Whenever they had met each other, he had pretended not to know her at all!
She knew that people were fickle and capricious, but could a man change so quickly in just a couple of
days?
Her mind felt wronged and aggrieved and was in a jumble! She should have been the one to stand in
front of him and question his behavior!
But now, like a child who had unwittingly done something wrong, she had no courage to even face him,
let alone question him.
She suddenly realized what she had said to Moore was right! The sky had fallen!
Her sky!
Zed had completely changed and with himself, had brought down her skies!
He already had a more suitable woman beside him and that was Jesse! They were so well-matched
that he never even looked elsewhere now.
A bitter smile suddenly appeared on Jean's lips as she closed her eyes, feeling desperate!
"Stop..." From somewhere in front of them came a loud roar in a familiar voice, stunning Jean. With
eyes wide open, she gaped towards where the sound had come from!
Oh no! It was what she had been worried about the most! Moore was standing in front of them furiously
and had stopped Zed.
'How interesting! This man has tried to stop me.'
Zed surveyed Moore from head to toe and quickly devised a plan in his mind.
'It doesn't matter if you're a member of the Bai Family, you shouldn't bite off more than you can chew!'
Zed sneered in his heart!
Gregory and Terry immediately moved forward and pushed Moore away.
Having not expected that he would be pulled away by Zed's subordinates in full public view, all colors
drained from Moore's face. He tried to make up and reason," Zed, if you truly think of yourself as a
man, let's have a good talk."
"You?" A contemptuous smile passed over Zed's face, as he retorted defiantly.
"Let's talk like true men!" Moore tried to portray fearlessness as he stared at Zed.
Shock and disbelief could easily be read in Zed's eyes. He then waved his hand prompting Gregory
and Terry to let Moore go. Walking slowly in front of Moore, he defiantly refused," We've got nothing to
talk about!"
"We do! About her!" Moore said firmly as he pointed towards Jean whose face was pale.
With contempt in his eyes, Zed glanced at Jean and turned his head away quickly.
From his expression, it was clear how much he disliked her and even felt ashamed of her.
Jean felt a sharp pain in her heart, but she tried hard to hold back her tears and yelled at Moore,"
Moore, if you really want to do something good for me, go back to your ward right now."
"Jean..." Moore heaved a sigh while looking at Jean. "You have to solve your problem with Zed face to
face! If you are reluctant to speak it out, I will speak for you."
"What do you want to ask?" Jean frowned and was irritated. "You know nothing about us! What can you
possibly ask him?"
"It's true! I know nothing, but I am not blind!" Moore then turned to look at Zed and Jesse and scornfully
said," Zed, if you don't love your wife, you should let her go!"
"Let her go?" Repeating the three words, Zed pondered on them.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
Really? Someone had dared and asked him to let Jean go?
Just because he was the son of Gary?
'No matter who you are, you have no right to poke your head into my business.' Zed thought.
"Since you already have someone in your heart, why not let Jean go and give her freedom?" Moore
was agitated as he questioned Zed. "If you are a man, don't you feel guilty for bullying a delicate
woman? You can take nothing from her any longer! Just let her go!"
"Moore..." Jean was irritated and she furiously yelled at him. "Don't get involved in my business!"
Moore knew that he was obviously offending Zed by taking Jean's side.
But he didn't want to see the secretly frustrated, decadent and depressed Jean!
He must help her clear things up. If Zed didn't love her, he could let her go and she could have her
freedom back.
If Zed still had a certain affection for her, he should tell her and not let her misunderstand.
However, no one could understand him, including Jean.
"But I have decided to take care of it!" With pride in his eyes, Moore firmly stared at Zed, as if telling
him that if he didn't give him a reply, he wouldn't retreat.
Zed read his mind from his eyes and was shocked.
It seemed that Grandpa's analysis about Moore was right!
He indeed had a lofty and unyielding character, just as the story went.
Zed now felt that matters were now delicate. If he didn't agree with him, he knew it would not be easy
for him to leave the hospital.
How irksome!
If he had known that Moore would show up, he definitely wouldn't have cut it fat!
'Jean, I am sorry to embarrass you, but I must do it for you today. I wish you will start a completely new
life from today on!' Moore told Jean in his heart.
Taking a deep breath, Moore was too nervous to take a look at Jean beside him.
"What do you want to ask me? What should I tell you? Everyone in H City knows why I married her at
that time."
Zed suddenly pointed at Jean as he told Moore about his relationship with Jean.
All the audience around screamed and hooted. They whispered to each other as they took a peculiar
look at Jean. Jean became a taunt to the onlookers.
Jean felt a pang in his heart. From the way Zed was walking and acting, she had known what he would
tell the audience now.
She couldn't help but shiver as her heart cried in pain, 'No... Don't say that out loud... At least don't do it
in front of so many people...'
Zed looked deep in Jean's eyes and his heart felt some anguish when he saw her complexionless and
pale face. He took his finger back and continued to announce mercilessly," Do you think there are true
feelings between us? Our marriage was nothing but the mere binding of interests! It's true that I have
other women outside, just like she has an intimate relationship with you in the hospital. We don't matter
in each other's life at all..."
There was a subtle smile on Zed's face as he had spat everything out as easily as if he was talking
about someone else's matters.
His words dizzied Jean so much that she backed up several steps until she was leaning against the
wall weakly.
People gave out derisive sound and pointed fingers towards Jean.
Someone even whistled and Jean was drowned in a storm of ridicule.
Jesse who looked on coldly, burst into laughter when she saw the embarrassed look on Jean's face. It
was a triumphant laughter!
"You bastard!"
Just as everyone got busy pouring out their ridicule on Jean, Moore shouted loudly and suddenly
pounced on Zed.
