Chapter 616 Will I Leave A Bad Impression On You

Chapter 616 Will I Leave A Bad Impression On You

"You said the same thing as Juan did. He could hardly wait to see you too! Did you know that when he

heard that I had married you, he decided to come here right away to see you? He has booked the

earliest flight to H City, so you two will be able to meet the day after tomorrow when he arrives,"

Zed said raising an eyebrow at Jean and smiling mischievously.

"No, the reason why he is so eager to come to H City is that he misses you! I don't believe that his

coming has anything to do with me," said Jean pouting cutely at Zed.

"Well, it seems that you have a clear estimation of yourself," Zed said as he burst into laughter.

"You!" Jean was becoming annoyed at Zed's teasing. "Come on, Zed. You've gone too far. Aren't you

afraid that Juan will be disappointed when he sees me, if his expectation for me is too high?"

"Don't worry about that. I'm quite confident with the choice that I have made," Zed replied proudly.

"What makes you so smug?" Jean's cheeks flushed pink at Zed's comment.

Moore quietly observed Zed and Jean flirting with each other from the corner of the room.

Although Moore felt a little bitter in his heart, there appeared a small smile on his face when he saw

Jean smiling happily.

"Jean and Zed love each other so much!" Avery exclaimed happily, watching them teasing each other.

"It was my own decision to quit showbiz. I have to thank Zed and Jean again. If it wasn't for their help

and support I wouldn't have been able to handle it," Avery said to Moore in a relieved voice.

Moore brought his attention back to Avery. "No matter what problems you encounter in the future, do

remember to tell us, so that we can all help you find the best way to solve them. Now, you must have a

clear understanding of Jean's character. She regards you as her friend and she is nice to you and

treats you well. She cares for you with all of her heart and soul. So remember not to do anything to

upset her again,"

Moore instructed Avery sincerely.

She nodded her head. "In future I'll keep that in mind." Avery cleared her throat and asked in a soft

voice, "Moore, now that you know the real reason why I came to H City was because of you. Have I

made a bad impression on you?"

Moore looked at her puzzled. "Why would you ask such a question?"

Avery looked meekly at Moore and said with a bitter smile, "I don't want you to believe that I'm a

calculating and impulsive girl. I am afraid that you might think me irresponsible and will suffer losses

because of my temperament."

Moore studied Avery for a moment then said earnestly, "Since you know that you are going to suffer

losses, don't be so impulsive in the future!" His face then softened. "Although I didn't know the reason

you came here was because of me, it's not too late to know now. I'm deeply touched by your efforts. I

haven't felt cared about in such a long time.

But now I'm moved by you."

Moore had tears in his eyes as he looked at Avery. "Oh, Moore..." Avery was overwhelmed with

emotions, so she reached out and took his hand in hers. "As long as I am your girlfriend, I will try my

best to treat you well.

Moore, I'd love to take care of you in the future." "Thank you, Avery. It means a lot to me,"

Moore said with a smile and this time his smile was from the heart.

Jean turned around and happened to notice Moore and Avery. It made her smile to see them chatting

with each other warmly. "Zed, look at them," Jean whispered to Zed. "See? Moore and Avery are

getting along so well.

It seems that it's unnecessary for us to worry about them."

Zed looked in their direction and a surprised expression appeared on his face.

He didn't know how to react to what he was witnessing. Obviously, he was stunned and surprised by This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Avery and Moore.

It had only been two days and it seemed that Moore and Avery had developed an unspoken

understanding between them. They actually looked like a true couple that cooperated with each other

very well.

Of course, Zed was happy to see them getting along. There possibly could even be a happy ending for

them after all.

But by what Zed knew of Moore, he was quite a different man now and he had changed. Now Moore

behaved as if he were a complete stranger to Zed.

Perhaps Moore was moved by Avery. Certainly, she had sacrificed so much for him in order to make

him take notice of her. Even though she had worked so hard to become a renowned star, she was

willing to abandon her successful career just to be with him.

'If I were her, I might have already given up on him by now. Avery's perseverance is truly admirable, '

Zed thought to himself.

Zed let out a little sigh and turned to look at Jean. "Are you going to watch Avery shooting for the ad

again this afternoon?" "No, I'm not going."

Jean smiled as she put her arm affectionately around Zed's waist. "I think I'll just go back and have a

nap. I don't want to disturb them." "That would be fine. I'll ask Toby to drive you back home.

I have to get back to work anyway. There's an important meeting this afternoon."

Zed looked at Jean and kissed her lovingly on the forehead. "Go back to work now!" she fussed. "Don't

worry about me. I have Toby. He'll make sure I get back home safe and sound."

Jean understood that it was important for Zed to go back to the company for the meeting, so she urged

him to hurry. "Moore, Avery, Adolf. I really must go. Have a nice day!"

Zed said goodbye to them all with a smile on his face. "Well." Before Zed turned to leave, Adolf stood

to meet him. "I want to thank you, Zed. If it wasn't for your help, it would have been hard for me to

handle the situation with Avery.

When Avery resigns from the company and everything is final, I want to invite you both to dinner to

express my gratitude."

"No problem. But it doesn't need to be too extravagant and expensive. Jean and I will be happy with a

simple meal."

Zed waved good bye to the group of friends and turned to leave. "Zed, I'll walk you out!"

Jean called out to him.

Zed saw a smile on Jean's face, but the look in her eyes was serious. He nodded his head. "Okay."

Jean turned back to the group. "I'm leaving now. See you all later.

Moore, take good care of Avery," She said in a hurry.

Then she left holding onto Zed's hand without waiting for Moore to reply.

Zed waited until they got out of the door, then he stopped and faced Jean. "Is there something wrong,

baby?" He asked with concern. "Yes!"

Jean replied in a firm voice. Then she raised her head to look up at Zed. "I was so happy and excited

just now that I have already ignored one problem." Zed looked at her baffled and asked, "So, what's the

problem?" "Since you have such a good relationship with Juan, the CEO of Baiton Entertainment

Corporation, then why don't you choose an A-list star that already works in the Baiton Entertainment

Corporation?

Why did you offer the job to Avery?"

Jean asked, looking confusedly at him.

Zed was stunned and lost for words for a moment. He then threw his head back and burst into laughter.

"Come on, Jean. Are you serious? That's the reason why you came out to see me off, so you could ask

me that?" "Yes!"

Jean stayed firm crossing her arms waiting for his answer. "All right. To be honest, if you hadn't asked

me to offer some advice to Avery, I would have totally forgotten that Juan is also running an

entertainment company. It may surprise you that Baiton Entertainment Corporation is founded by him

only to idle away his time, and it's more like a hobby to Juan.

He is running more than a dozen small companies including the Baiton Entertainment Corporation."

Jean wasn't buying it. "Really? Are you cheating on me?"

Jean asked in great astonishment. "Come on. There's no need for me to cheat on you!"

He looked at her and replied with a bitter smile. Jean hesitated for a moment, then she looked at Zed

and said in an angry tone, "I'm still not sure if you're cheating on me or not! Zed, I still can't figure out

one thing.

How on earth do you know Juan? He is so wealthy!" "He is very wealthy... Well, that may be," Zed

answered himself and then looked at Jean and quipped. "What's wrong?

Are you having some ideas about him after hearing that he is a rich man?" "You bastard!

How can you say that about me and belittle me like that? I am not a superficial woman!"

Jean snapped back with her hands on her hips. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that," Zed said trying to

console her. "As for how I met Juan... I saved his life to be exact. He doesn't like being indebted to

anyone. Once, he even followed me for three months in order to repay me. Fortunately, I escaped from

that."
