Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 233

Chapter 233

Fuming in her heart, Alicia tightened her grip on her shopping bags. Alicia wanted to head over but soon, she calmed down. Instead, she took her phone.

"Huh? Why is it off?"

Pressing hard on the start button, Alicia turned on her phone which was almost out of battery. She checked her phone for missed calls and messages.

"Nothing? There is literally nothing!"

Muttering to herself, Alicia lowered her head as her vision blurred. She was so upset that tears started to roll down her cheeks.

He didn't come after her. No phone calls and no explanation. Was Frederick mad at her for splashing water at him?

Alicia shook her head abruptly and realized how far gone she was. "It wasn't wrong of me to splash at him. Why am I giving him excuses?"

"My, my, Alicia. Why do you care so much for him? You are stupid! He doesn't like you! If he really cares for you, he would definitely not hurt you, let alone do the despicable things!" "So what if you head over there? As if being humiliated once isn't enough. Do you want to put yourself in that kind of position again?"

Alicia's mind was spinning. She subconsciously went through her call history. She went through every number carefully including the unknown numbers.

Finally, the faint light in Alicia's heart dimmed. She lost all hope for Frederick.

Wiping off her tears, she raised her head and took a deep breath. "It's okay! I'll do just fine without you! B*stard!"

Men are a*sholes. They would do anything for you when they liked you. But once they didn't, they would drop you like a hot potato! Alicia thought to herself.

"Frederick, you are a b*stard! Lustful pervert! You're a beast! Ungrateful liar! F*ck you! Go to hell!"

Turning around, Alicia's steps were heavy as she moved towards the supermarket.

Meanwhile, Frederick was discussing business with the representative sent by his client at the hotel entrance. Deep down, Frederick was anxious and had his phone clutched in his hand. He was not fond of the former actress that was representing the company but it had become a norm that mistresses or someone close to the business owner to stand on their behalf. Frederick had no choice but to continue the negotiation.

Soon, Frederick's assistant drove the car over. After opening the car door, Frederick unlocked his phone and called Alicia again.

"Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently not in service..."

When he walked around to the other side of the car, Frederick felt bitter. "Why was it still off? How angry is she? I have been calling all night long. Why wouldn't she just pick up?"

Frederick was concerned but there was nothing he could do about it because his client unexpectedly arrived a day earlier.

There were plans later that night too. Since he was the host, he could not afford to be absent. He had no choice but to attend the meeting. With that, he got into the car as well.

In the supermarket, Alicia was not in a great mood as she shopped. Right then, she wasn't paying attention to what was in front of her. She felt a heavy weight in her heart. She was heartbroken.

After picking some necessities and food, Alicia went to the counter and paid.

As she exited the supermarket, she stood at the crossing. She took a glance at the hotel again.

Not a soul in sight!

Alicia blanked for a while and did not move. A cold breeze pulled her back to her senses. Shuddering, she couldn't help but mock.

"What are you thinking? Why are you still hoping that he will notice you?"

This was exactly how she felt when she was dumped three years ago. Every time she went to a place that reminded her of Jeremy, she would stay there blankly for a long time. She even held a stranger's hand by accident twice. It was so embarrassing for her.

Come to think of it, Alicia was the fool in her own love stories.

Alicia saw it coming but still went along!

She bit her lower lip as she closed her eyes.

"It'll all be over soon! Some things can't be forced. You can't love without getting hurt, not to mention for someone who doesn't love you back. Forcing it will only humiliate yourself. Obviously, what you did was because of your love for him. Even though it's not right, it is still an act of love! But, him cheating on you in his office? That is just outrageous!" Alicia told herself.

Alicia comforted herself. After calming down, she took all her bags and thought, "As always, only my brother is the most reliable!"

As the pedestrian crossing indication turned green, Alicia was prepared to cross. However, she bumped into someone. With a loud thud, all her bags fell to the ground.

"Hey! What the hell?"

"I'm sorry!" She raised her gaze and saw a couple. Alicia felt even more uncomfortable. "I didn't mean it. I was in a hurry!"

"It's fine! We're okay!"

The man said while rubbing his forehead. The man was probably acting polite because a woman was beside him. After they walked away, Alicia sighed as she gathered her things.

Such bad luck!

While Alicia was picking up the scattered fruits, someone handed her an apple.

"Thank you!"

Alicia was surprised as she looked up. "Jeremy? Why is he here?"

Reluctant to see him, Alicia quickly picked up all the shopping bags and left. Upon turning around, Jeremy grabbed her wrist.

"Are those clothes for men? Who are you buying these clothes for?"

Who was she buying such cheap clothes for? There were many of them! Looking at the bag with necessities inside, there was a toothbrush for men too! It was almost as if Jeremy caught his wife cheating. He even tried to go through the shopping bags.

"It's none of your business! These are mine and you have no right to know who I'm buying them for!"Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Jeremy instinctively thought Alicia was having an affair as Frederick would only use branded items. It caused a stir in Jeremy and he was determined to find out.

Ever since Alicia was injured in his arms and begged him to take her to the hospital, Jeremy knew that he loved her more than anything. He was afraid of losing her.

Jeremy could no longer be in Alicia's life but he was willing to endure it. However, he couldn't accept Alicia being gone forever. He wished nothing would ever happen to her. It was the second time Jeremy's mind flew to when Frederick was carrying Alicia on his back. It was tormenting every time he thought of it and he would lose sleep over it.

At that moment, Jeremy hesitated. He couldn't help but care about her. After regaining his composure, hatred filled his mind. Besides, he had Lindsay at present. Every day was agonizing to him. He had no direction and it was excruciating.

"Have you no dignity? How many men are you with?"

"None of your business! Give me back my things!"

Jeremy and Alicia started arguing on the sidewalk. Somehow, they didn't notice that the traffic light turned red. Among all those cars that were waiting in the heavy traffic, someone was looking at them from inside a red car as flashes of light went off.
