I stepped out of the walk-in closet and pulled the door close behind me without making any

unnecessary sounds as I made my way towards the side table at the side of my phone where my

phone was currently sitting. I picked it up, along with the guns and knives on the table, and I shoved

them all into their respective places and spots, before turning around and starting to make my way

towards the door which would lead outside our bedroom. I paused beside it and turned around to stare

at Sofia, and as expected, she still haven’t moved from that particular spot which she had been in, ever

since when I had woken up, and even through out those times when I had pulled down the blankets

which had been covering her nose, and it had looked so much to me like she wasn’t able to breathe

well.

I could clearly remember when I had seen her laying at the far end of the bed, at the very tip, and how I

had been worried about her talking off the bed for a moment as I had stated to her. Of course, I had

wanted to walk back towards the bed to move her around until she was moved a bit away from the tip

of her side of the bed, but I had decided against it almost immediately because I didn’t want it to end

iher being a situation whereby I’d end up touching her with no any bad motives in my head, only to

have her joke awake and start panicking like I was about to do some stuffs to her.

And then like I had feared right before I had left for work, she had indeed ended up falling off the bed,

and then she had ended up at the hospital with a sprained arm, and that was that. So, that was also

one of the reasons why I had ignored all the thousands thoughts and warnings in my head which were

all disagreeing with me on the whole issue about me touching her face or not, and then I had ended up

ignoring all those warnings and thoughts, because I could still remember when I had followed some

voice in my head when it comes to Sofia, and unfortunately, she had ended up with a broken arm. And

of course, I didn’t want her to end up suffocating, right there in my bed, only a few feet away from me

on the wide bed.

I watched her sleep, in the same position that she had been in for over a few hours, and I stared at a

face for a little more while, before finally turning around and pulling on the door knob which got the door

open in an instant. I stepped out of the room and pulled the door close behind me, and I stood in that

particular spot even after the door had been closed behind me, and then I started to ask myself what in

hell it was c that was wrong with me.

And also, why I was suddenly feeling all those feelings for Sofia.

I shook my head a lot and let out a small puff of breath, as I started to make my way down the hallway

then down the stairs, my legs moving slowly and carefully above each piece of stair, and my mind was

barely settled, even, it was the complete opposite at this very moment.

I was worked up, my mind was restless and I was thinking about a lot of things at the same time.

I got to the last of the stairs and glanced around my walls around here, my eyes landing on some stuffs

heaped and arranged at the side of the lower part or the staircase, jr was a good thing that Sofia had

suggested herself about needing a room to paint, because I honestly haven’t think about that until this

very moment. And now that I was starting to think about it, I could see that she was ringt, because

there was no way I’d have figured out the fact that she needed a room to herself because of all the

mess she was going to be making, to think I haven’t even though about it at all, neither did I even try to

think about most of it, all I had thought about, was hanging her what she had wanted most at that

moment.

At first, after she had made her way into the room looking a hot mess of shutters, it was obvious that

she needed a firm hand to be able to calm down, but didn’t know that she needed that, until I had

stepped in and given her what she wanted without any kind of hesitation. And oh lord, she had replied

immediately, thst same second, without any kind of hesitation, and I had a hunch that she didn’t even

know the heat she had left in me since the moment her eyes had widened in response to my dictations

and guidance.

It had made my head swell and my blood boil oh so ferociously, I wanted to do nothing more than to

have tugged her into my thighs to murmur soothing words against her cheeks while stroking her face

and hair in a way that would be really soothing and comfortable. But then, I knew even without trying,

that I wouldn’t be able to do that, because what was my reason to have done so?

I shook my head a couple of times as I walked past the side of the stair case, making my way into the

kitchen almost immediately. Matilda and Sarah were both in the kitchen at the moment and they

spotted me immediately.

“Did you have a good night sleep?” I asked the both of them who were both standing beside the

counter on the other side of the counter, which made it easier for them to have been able to tell who it

was immediately after the person had barely taken more than a step into tne kitchen.

“Good morning, Mr Ricci.” They had both greeted respectfully with a little bow of their heads and I

listened as they both confirmed about the fact that they had both had a nice night. My eyes strayed

towards Sarah and I knew my eyes were currently narrowed at her at that very moment and it made me

a little bit mad that she’d get sick and decide that it was suddenly alright for her to do so.

She should just wait, she have a lot of explanation to make to me and I wouldn’t be listening to a thing

she has to say for now, until the talk gets carried out behemoths both of us, and then as if she could

suddenly read my mind, her cheeks flushed red and she was ducking her head away from my view,

with her clerks flaming in embarrassment.

“Can you make me a cup of coffee?” I asked Matilda as soon as I had turned my head around until my

eyes had on a curious filled Matilda. She nodded her head immediately, color flooding her clerks a little

in the next second, all because I had turned my head around to lock eyes with her. Which meant no

other but the fact that it was obvious that she had been listening in , or trying to listen in on the

conversation I’d have with Sarah.

“So, Sarah.” I started to say in a slow voice as soon as I had turned my head back around to stare at a

still embarrassed Sarah, and by the look of things, it was obvious that she had thought I was probable

going to start demanding an explanation from her about her very obvious sickness, at that very

moment… but then, I haven’t even planned to come over here this morning in order to come demand

for an explanation, I had only wanted to get some much needed coffee, along with the fact thst I also

wanted to pass some very important message to the housekeeper, cook along with the body guards,

before I’d finally leave for work. I threw my head back and dragged a deep breath into my lungs for a

few seconds, and then I puffed the breath out of my lungs ever so slowly, before lowering my face until

I was staring Sarah straight in the eye, in the next moment.

“Yes?” Sarah echoed out in reply and I started to make my way into the kitchen after a few more

seconds, my eyes absent mindedly trailing over the lots of things, right here in the kitchen. I paused

until I was standing beside the particular side of the counter whereby Sarah and Matilda had been

standing at the other side of it, immediately I had stepped into the kitchen. Although at the moment,

Sarah was the only one still standing in the same spot which I had mat both women in, while Matilda

was currently at the side of tne stove area, she was making coffee. I placed my hand on the counter

and leaned forward until I was leaning more closer in the counter, before I finally started to speak.
