Chapter 179
Lindy wasn’t faring any better. Her voice took on a dreamy quality as she exclaimed. “To be able to care for Mr. Book’s health, one must have the skill level of a true miracle doctor, right?”
As she spoke, her eyes suddenly sparkled, and she raised her voice, commanding, “The butler, where is the butler? Quickly gather everyone
here.”
From this very moment, Olivia became the most esteemed guest in the Patterson family. Everyone had to prioritize her, and there couldn’t be even the slightest hint of negligence.
Lindy’s swift actions spoke volumes.
In the blink of an eye, everyone in the Patterson family realized that Olivia was an esteemed guest not to be taken lightly.
A kitchen was even set aside exclusively for Olivia. Chefs and a few kitchen hands were dispatched to assist. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
Olivia’s accommodation was upgraded, from a regular guest room to a small standalone building with a garden.
A group of servants was also reassigned specifically to attend to her.
The rooms underwent a complete transformation. The bed linens were replaced with luxurious silk, and the simple decorations were swapped out for unique pieces.
They even managed to find an artwork by a famous painter, which once sold at a staggering 60 million dollars.
Gabriel had been leisurely observing his wife as she busied herself with giving various instructions.
But then he caught sight of that exquisite painting.
His eyes widened, and he dared not speak too loudly for fear of startling her and causing her to accidentally scratch the painting.
“What are you doing? Why have you brought this out?” It’s the centerpiece of his collection, and he was reluctant to even touch it.
He was really nervous.
Lindy glanced at him and chuckled. “Once Ms. Olivia has successfully treated Anthony’s ailment, we’ll present the painting as a gift to her.”

Gabriel was nearly heartbroken. “You could’ve given money or our company stocks. Why did you choose this?”
This painting was his most prized possession.
It was something that couldn’t be bought with mere money.
Lindy’s tone remained firm. “This is the only way we can express our sincerity.”
As Gabriel gazed at the painting, there was a fleeting moment when he didn’t want Olivia to cure his son.
Olivia stayed at the Patterson residence for five days. The visible
improvement in Anthony’s health was so rapid that it even made Lindy look askance.
She spent nearly the entire day doting on her son, frequently asking, “Are you feeling uncomfortable?”
She worried whether such a swift recovery might have any side effects. She dearly wished to take her son to the hospital for a checkup, but she hesitated, fearing that it might upset Olivia.
This had already happened before. If it happened again, no matter how good Olivia’s temper was, she would be angry.
Lindy didn’t dare take the risk.
“No.” Anthony shook his head, then jumped a few times in novelty.
This was his first experience of feeling as light as a feather.
He finally realized that his body actually could be so agile.
For the past 18 years, every moment of every day, he had carried a heavy burden. He felt as though his back was weighed down by a thousand pounds, gasping heavily after taking a few steps.
Anthony was jumping, running, and occasionally pinching his own arms and legs out of curiosity.
Upon seeing this, Lindy tilted her head while her heart ached terribly.
She gently wiped her eyes and her expression softened. “Would you like to take a walk outside? I’ve asked Ms. Olivia, and she said it’s fine.”
“Really?”
Anthony’s eyes lit up while hearing this.
He was just like a child, eager to explore the outside world. His eyes were filled with excitement and curiosity.

Lindy nodded. “Of course.”
Anthony went outside for a run, and Lindy watched from behind with a smile.
On the way, they met Eaton, who was taking a stroll.
Seeing Anthony running in the courtyard, Eaton was so shocked that his tongue seemed to freeze.
“Why… Why did you come out?” he stammered.
“You are surprised, aren’t you?” Anthony hopped over, full of youthful energy, no longer the gloomy figure of the past.
“Mr. Arthur.” Lindy walked over and explained with a smile, “Ms. Olivia has been helping Anthony with his recovery. He’s much better now.”
Upon hearing this, Eaton subconsciously frowned.
He spoke inwardly, “Ms. Olivia? That young girl? Wasn’t this a bit absurd? That girl hadn’t even graduated, had she?“”
Eaton wanted to say something, but he swallowed his words.
After all, Olivia was a doctor invited by the Patterson family, and it wasn’t appropriate to gossip behind their backs.
The old doctor sat on a stone bench, extended his hand, and motioned for Anthony to come over. He wanted to check his pulse.
He was worried that if the girl treated him recklessly, there would be a serious condition.
He felt the need to check Anthony’s current health condition.
Anthony obediently came over and sat on the other side of the stone bench.
Eaton placed his index and middle fingers on Anthony’s wrist and carefully checked his pulse.
“What?” Eaton furrowed his brow and gestured for Anthony to use his other hand so he could check again.
Lindy stood to the side. She was nervous and her face tense when she noticed his unusual expression.
“Mr. Arthur, is Anthony alright?” She asked cautiously.
Eaton paid no attention and felt the pulse on Anthony’s other hand.
This time, his expression of astonishment was even more pronounced. He couldn’t contain it at all.

“How is this possible?” He stood up and carefully sized Anthony up. “It’s not possible, absolutely impossible.”
He frowned. “No, you must go to the hospital immediately. Right away.”
Lindy was so frightened by Eaton’s words that her legs went weak, and she was on the verge of tears. “What’s wrong? Is there something wrong with Anthony?”
Eaton nodded seriously. “Yes, there’s something wrong, very wrong!” Lindy almost fell over. She gripped the stone table tightly with both hands and barely managed to hold on. “What’s wrong?”
Eaton said, “He’s too healthy!”
Lindy remained stunned.
If not for the fact that Eaton was old, Lindy would have scolded him angrily for scaring her like that.
Anthony was also speechless. He couldn’t help but intervene, holding Lindy’s hand, and said, “You’ve scared my mom.”
In the face of his s, Lindy felt relief wash over her, and she began to lose her strength. She was so weak that she couldn’t even sit upright.
Sitting on the stone bench, she leaned on Anthony.
Eaton hadn’t anticipated Lindy’s reaction and realized that his previous words had been quite shocking.
He quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I was just so surprised.”
However, he shifted his tone. “But we still need to go to the hospital for a detailed checkup.”
Lindy wanted to go to the hospital as well but was concerned about Olivia. After hesitating, she asked Eaton, “When you checked Anthony’s pulse just now, is he really fine?”
Eaton replied, “I’m not so sure. It’s best to visit the hospital for a thorough examination. We should do a CT scan and X–rays.” This was a habit he had developed at the provincial hospital. He wouldn’t easily draw conclusions without seeing the test results.
Times had changed, and traditional medicine needed to adapt. If an issue could be resolved with modern technology, there was no need to make assumptions.
Lindy thought for a moment and nodded. “Then let’s go for the checkup

tomorrow. We can make the appointment today.”
Eaton thought of the crowds at the provincial hospital and agreed. It was indeed necessary to make an appointment in advance.
In fact, Lindy was just making up an excuse.
People of their status didn’t need to queue for appointments. They could directly go to a private hospital and receive VIP service.
However, Eaton was unaware of this.
Anthony understood this, though.
After returning to the house, he asked, “Mom, don’t you want me to go to the hospital for a checkup?”
Lindy shook her head. “We need to ask for Ms. Olivia’s opinion. It wouldn’t be respectful to her profession if we bypass her and go for a private checkup.”
