Chapter 46
“What did she say?”Jeorge Milton asked, looking at him.
“She said…”, she said.
The manager didn’t dare to continue after seeing Jeorge Milton’s glum expression.
Jeorge Milton screamed, “Speak up!
“She said… she would submit her resignation letter as soon as possible. ”
Jeorge Milton could almost envision her determined look as she said those words.
He was even more pessimistic…
The manager anticipated the crown prince to throw a rage, but he was surprised to hear a quiet, weak voice say, “Go out.”
Ava was having a bath in the bathroom when her phone rang as the sky darkened.
It was simply a sound, and Goden Bran had already shut it off.
Ava seemed to hear her phone ring for a brief minute, but she didn’t hear it even after closely listening.
Goden Bran grabbed her phone and, unable to contain himself any longer, accessed the caller ID to see messages.
He discovered that Jeorge Milton had mailed them all.
He clutched the phone so firmly that he almost erased all of the information on it.
The phone’s screen suddenly lighted up.
Make a statement…
I’ll be waiting for you downstairs if he opens it.
His slim fingers did not hesitate to erase as his eyes clouded and his heart felt suffocated…
He burst out laughing; they were now at his grandmother’s old home, where he, Jeorge Milton, had been unable to find his…
When Ava emerged from the toilet and found Goden Bran in her room, she was a bit nervous because of what he had said earlier in the day.
She hesitated for a long time by the bathroom door before forcing herself to walk over and ask, “Is there anything you require?
Goden Bran instantly treasured the memory of that Ava Lins earlier, seeing that she was no longer the same person who made the initiative to approach him.
She had never concealed her affections for him, at least not at that time.
When he went home, he always saw her grin, heard her attempting to come up with a conversation, and asked what he had done that day.
In the face of his indifference, she would sometimes inquire as to what he had eaten in the afternoon, but he had nothing to reply.
He didn’t see her sadness at the moment; he merely thought she was bored to the point where she wanted to ask these questions because it was simply too dismal.
By marrying her, he expressed his desire to live a simple and happy life.
He couldn’t do it, but he’d feel much better after losing her after a day of sharing the same bed with someone else and feeling bored.
He wasn’t calm, and he wasn’t accustomed to her without being at his side.
Perhaps the events of the last two years had left an indelible mark on Goden Bran’s heart.
He could have liked her, at least while she was near him.
Why don’t you stick by my side?
He couldn’t stand being around other guys, and he didn’t want to be sidetracked by romantic affairs.
Jeorge Milton would never let him have it as long as he loved it! Anyone could have it, but not him, Jeorge Milton!
Keeping her at his side could be the best option.
As Goden Bran contemplated this, Ava nervously shuffled her feet and proceeded to the other side, consciously maintaining a safe distance from him and avoiding him.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
He felt bitterness in his heart as he realized it.
“Do you still despise me?
“Or are you hesitant to even give me a chance?
Ava was worried he would say these things, but he did, and she had no option but to confront him and push herself to look at him calmly “I’m not sure why you’re now saying these things to me.
Goden Bran, you had a kid with that lady, and yet you’re telling me all of this here; do you really believe that cheating is a thrilling and enjoyable experience?
Ava instantly realized that her greatest concern was the kid in that woman’s tummy when she said this.
She groaned and averted her gaze “Is she pregnant with your kid, if I’m not mistaken? Will you abandon it? Do you want me to act as a mistress for you? ”
“Do you think you’re a little too greedy? Have you considered how I feel? ”
“No, children, you are not a mistress, I assure you.”Goden Bran said as he went closer and took her shoulder in his hands.
Ava hesitated.
It’s hard to believe, isn’t it?
Had he now realized her value and realized how to adore her, as she had dreamed for so long?
What went wrong? She wasn’t as joyful as she had expected.
But why did she feel confused and at a loss when he really understood remorse and pity?
She had no idea who he was or what his life was like.
She got the distinct impression that she hadn’t truly known him in the previous two years at that point.
Ava mumbled helplessly, “What sort of a guy are you, Goden Bran?”
As he stared at the bewilderment and doubt in her eyes, his heart stopped, and he hesitated for a second.
But then he remembered the texts on her phone…
He couldn’t restrain himself when he saw she was going to go with Jeorge Milton, and he was terrified that her innocent eyes would see right through his heart, and that her hug, stare, and eyes would make him pause…
“Give me a chance, Ava. I’ll be waiting for your response.”
As she lay on his chest, Ava’s heart was in shambles.
The sky was black and gloomy, with just a sliver of moonlight visible.
It started to rain fiercely in the second part of the night.
Only when the bean-sized raindrops landed on Jeorge Milton’s torso did he realize how to go back to the car.
When George checked his phone, there was no sign of her, either in the form of a message or a caller ID.
Slowly… Slowly… The heart plummeted.
Unprecedented calamity.
It was the first time someone had completely ignored him.
He had thought to himself before he arrived, “As long as she comes!”
