Chapter 43

I don’t wanna see you again.

Ray smiled when they were alone. He took a step closer to her and spreads his arms. For a hug. She slaps his hands when he touched her. And stepped backwards. Glaring at him.

“I finally got to see you again. El.”

“I don’t wanna see you.”

“You do, I know you do. Stop saying it. From the look on your eyes. You deserve me.”

She chuckled.

“Not anymore. Barbra needs you now. I’m sure she’s waiting for you.”

“Forget about Barbra. Let’s talk about us.” He reaches out again to touch her. She slaps him, hard on the cheek. He looked shocked. But try to hide them.

“I can take all that. I know you hate me. And I’m sorry. I need you El. I’m going insane. I don’t know what’s happening. I’m not myself without you. I need you back El.”

She scoffed.

“Is that why you came here? To tell me that. If you really need me. You won’t have slept with Barbra. I’m sure you didn’t give a damn how I would’ve felt.”

“It was a mistake.” He pleaded.

“Didn’t seems like a mistake to be at all.”

“Just take me back. El. Let’s leave here. Go back to how we used to be.”

“We can’t. It’s not possible. I can’t go back anymore.”

“El, this isn’t you. You’ve changed. You shouldn’t..”

“Leave. I don’t want to see you again. Ray. I’m not going back. So don’t you ever come back and look for me.” She sniffed. She wasn’t gonna cry in front of him. She had to conceal it all and pretend she’s strong and fine without him in the picture.

“I came to wish you a happy birthday. You’re eighteen now. Grown up. I couldn’t tell you what to do anymore. You make your own decisions now and you made it clear. I’m a nuisance ain’t I? You’re throwing everything down the drain. Everything, our memories. We’ve been together for ten good years El. Ten years.”

“Then you shouldn’t have break the trust or ruin the memories. I never thought of this either. I thought we were gonna live so long together. Both you killed us!”

“I’m sorry!”

His eyes were clouded with tears. He sniffed and wipe the tears.

“It can’t possibly do anything. I can’t go back anymore. You should go to Barbra. You loves you. I don’t anymore. Everything I felt for you is gone.”

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t have any feelings for you anymore.”

“It’s Kenzo right?”

“Yes.”

“Why the fuck are you so dumb!” He yelled. She hits his again. The tears fell from her eyes.

“I choose to love who I choose. Be it Kenzo or not. You’ve no right to tell me who to love.”

“I’m fully aware of that. But not a man like Kenzo.”

“Why? Why is everyone telling me I can’t fall for him why?”

“Because of the kind of man that he’s.”

He gripped her shoulders hard. Looking directly at her eyes.

“Come home El. Come back to me.”

She yanked his hands off her.

“Can’t you see have changed. You should leave.”

“If I leave. We’ll met as enemies.”

“Leave Ray. I don’t wanna be enemies with you. Just go.”

“It’s because of Kenzo, he’s the reason you’re like this. He made you this person you shouldn’t be.”

“Go away. I don’t wanna see you ever again. Don’t ever show yourself to me. You’re with the man who wants me dead. What should I possibly do with you.”

“And Kenzo, He’s your biggest enemy. I’m sure he’s thinking of a way to kill you every night. He’s a mafia. You know that. He killed his master in Italy to become this wealthy. They would come for him. Kill him and everyone involved with him. You never wanted to be part of these kind of men. But here you’re dinning with them. Fucking them.”

“Get out! Or I’ll ask Aziel to throw you out.” Elina sniffed and looked by her side to see Kenzo strolling in with his hands stuffed in his pockets.

“You should talk about how to fix your mix life than talking about mine. You’re still a kid. I understand. Aziel take him out of here and anywhere you see him. Don’t hesitate to pull the trigger.”

Ray gave him a deadly glare. With a lot of meaning with it. Which Kenzo was quick to grab what those gazes met. Before he looked away.

“I’ll get you back El. No matter what.” He whispered. And sauntered out of there midst. Aziel follows him quietly making sure he goes out completely.

“So pathetic watching you two together.” Without another word he left as well. Leaving her alone. She wrapped her hands around her body and sat on the sand. She felt Someone sat down next to her.

She didn’t need to look. Since she already knew who he was.

“Here..”

she took the brown hanky gladly from his hands and blew her running nose into it.

“I looked stupid right. But I still need him.”

“You don’t need him. Stop telling yourself that. You’re doing quite fine on your own. Besides you lived without your parents being around. You survived. So.. Ray isn’t issue.”

“It’s just that…”

“He treats you well. Loved you and stayed by your side. If someone cares for you that much he would think of you first. You’ll be his priority. How would she feel if I do this or that. You know what I mean.”

“Yeah.”

“You shouldn’t let the master be angry with you. He came all the way here because of you. He would never do that. He’s always busy with work or training. There’s always an assignment he has to do. But he’s here. You didn’t consider his feelings. When you were talking to the dickhead.”

She chuckled at his last word.

“Now were family. We’re the ones you need.”

“Thanks Sam.”

“I’m always here. That’s my duty.”

She smiled and placed her head on his shoulders.

Signing.

“I know you might be hearing a lot of things about the master. Which I can’t say is true or not. Just don’t jump into conclusions yet. Wait till he tells you. No one else would say a word about his life and about his past except he does. Our lips are all clamped shut. So don’t bother asking me because I had no idea.”

She scoffed.

“I wasn’t gonna ask about his past. I just wanna get to know him better. Things he likes and the ones he doesn’t. So I could work well with him..”

“You’ll get to know him better.”

“We found her..” Aziel announced. He was standing by the balcony with a cigarette in his hands. His gaze was fixed on a spot. The girl in bikinis, with her brown hair almost blonde. Why had she come into his life at this moment. She should believe what she choose too. He isn’t gonna force her to trust or believe him. She could do that if she wants to. But she couldn’t leave. Leaving means death. Either way. If she’s gonna live it all depends on her.

“She’s here in Vietnam. Your mother.” And then he hurled the cigarette away.

“Take her home. We’ll stay for a day or two. I need to see her.”
