CAST OUT

Chapter 62

A day away.

Hazard, butted the ash on the tray in front of him. Took the glass of wine and sips. Then he leaned backward on the seat. He didn’t spare the one standing a glance.

“I thought you said you had no idea where they were?”Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

“I didn’t know she would be there, they were once enemies. I never thought she would go over to meet her and then becomes friends again.” Sara came in at that moment, walking directly to Hazard and sitting on his thighs.

“Hello, baby.” He cooed.

Sara smiles and kissed down his neck.

“It’s almost time.”

Hazard nodded.

Eventually, turning his gaze back to Roy.

“You said what?”

“I’ve…”

“That’s a lie.” Sara countered, biting down on hazard’s ear.

“I’m not lying. I didn’t know!” He drawled.

“Did you bother searching for her when you heard she was cast out of the mansion?”

He looked down.

“I bet he was glad she was out of there.” Sara chuckled.

“Well. That’s shouldn’t be a problem, you already made a deal, and you’re gonna stand by it. And the election is next week.”

“I fully aware of that.”

“Very good. This is what you’re gonna do..”

Roy walked out of his office. He exhaled, he was happy when he heard he was getting married and Elina was out of the mansion unscathed. He didn’t bother looking for her because he guessed she would be safe and he didn’t wanna be a nuisance to her when she sees him and now, he has to go and see her, talk to her and maybe…

he sighed.

Getting into all these was for her, he did everything he did for her and just her and no one else.

Leaning on the wall, with his gaze upward, staring into nothing. The only thought he had was their happy moments together, he so much wished those happy moments could be as it was again.

When it was just them.

Elina was lying face down on the bed. A terrible week has passed, with her not being able to get rid of the thing growing inside of her, her legs were in the air dancing. Barbra was in the bathroom singing out loud as she had her bath.

There hasn’t been any escape from Barbra since the past week she was confirmed pregnant. She had someone watching her, her nosy jobless neighbor, did nothing all day but watch her from his window.

The asshole!

She had stopped going to carol since she couldn’t keep up with it.

“I told you to stop lying down that way!” Barbra scolded coming out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her chest.

The water from her hair was dripping down her body.

Elina rolled her eyes and sat upright on the bed. With her hands folded underneath her breast watching Barbra as she dressed.

“You got me stuck in the house.”

“You need to take care of the baby.”

“Oh please.” She rolled her eyes again.

“I don’t want you doing something crazy.”

“It’s my life, Barbra.”

“Same thing I said!” She raised her voice. Taking Elina aback with her outburst.

“Let’s not talk about this.”

“Tell me what you’re hiding deep down, you got shivering when we got into the hospital. You were so uncomfortable.”

“You noticed.”

“yes, and if you were really with Kenzo he wouldn’t let you get involved with any of the other mafia because he has a doctor too and that’s Ezra. How did you get involved with Lucas?”

“You want to know?”

“Tell me why you’re so against me getting an abortion.”

“Because I once did.” She announced.

“You once did what!”

“Get rid of babies.”

“Barbra.. you’re just nineteen.”

“I almost died at the last. Ezra couldn’t do it, he couldn’t save me. They had to take me to Lucas. I thought I was dead.”

“Who got you pregnant? Was it Kenzo?”

“It was Hazard.”

“What?” Elina shriek, jumping up from the bed. Barbra sat on the ground, with her hands on her head.

“It’s was just two of us, my sister and I, we were orphans, we have nobody except ourselves we were both sold as sex slaves to Kenzo and Hazard respectively. I was ten and she was sixteen.”

Elina sat beside her.

“I was so ashamed. Kenzo took me out of there, that’s was after I survived the last abortion.”

“Why didn’t you…?”

“He didn’t want me taking anything. That was his punishment to me. Kenzo took me away afterward. I was sixteen then. We’ve suffered you know, in the hands of bad mafia men. Men like Hazard.”

She sniffed.

Elina pats her shoulders.

“it’s okay.”

“I know what I went through in the hands of those men. It was horrible. After my sister’s died he was able to give us back our freedom. I was free to bury my sister. And came down here to start a life. He gave me a lot of money though.” She chuckled bitterly.

“That’s why I don’t want that to happen to you. I’m excited you’re having this baby. I get to be an aunt.”

They shared a small laugh, Barbra wipe her tears off. And smiled.

“The wedding is tomorrow..”

“Yeah,”

Elina sighed.

“I saw the caption. A black wedding. And there was a photo of them in it. The stoic face of Kenzo.”

“Black wedding?”

“Yeah.”

They chuckled.

“Kenzo is something else.”

“I’m telling you. But it does make sense though.”

“Are you sure you’re okay?”

“I’m fine. I’ve been living without him for the past weeks and I’m fine.”

“You’re saying that but that’s not what I’m seeing.”

“I’m fine.” She replied again. Tomorrow, was her last chance to get rid of the baby. Barbra shouldn’t be scared of losing her, she wasn’t gonna die just yet.

“Tomorrow, We should go somewhere, what do you think.”

“I don’t think that’s I go idea, I don’t want anyone seeing me tomorrow, I’m just gonna lock myself up in the room and sleep all through the day. That’s what I plan on doing.”

“You sure about that.”

“Yeah. And Barbra I want you to know this. I love you so much. No matter what you’ve been through, no matter what you’ve done. Not everyone could survive but you did. And I’m so glad I met someone like you.”

Barbra smiled out tears.

“That’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard you say.”

“And I want you to forgive me for everything I did and what I’m gonna do in the future.”

Barbra pulled her into a hug.

Elina Shut her eyes. Forcing herself not to tear up.

Tomorrow was the day.
