As soon as Adam and Carey left Anna to her supposed work, she could be seen with a look of displease as she sat at the terrace of her hotel apartment.

Anna has so many expectations. Although her debut as a capable director and then advancing to be the leader she had been trained for all of her life was important, Joel was equally important to Anna.

Anna knew her only chance to get closer to Joel is to act like she didn’t care. She needs to take some steps back to leap hundreds of meters to Joel.

As soon as Anna left for her further studies and training, she made sure to keep in touch with Joel’s family.

She constantly check up on them and inform them not to tell Joel as he might not move on if he knew she still reaches out.

At first, Joel’s mother planned to ask Joel to wait for Anna but then decided against the idea, not wanting to be the catalyst of pain to both parties, hence she just treated Anna like her daughter.

Anna smiled slyly as she imagined what role the woman would play in her plan to get Joel back for herself.

She had done her investigation and was sure Joel remained single.

Anna didn’t delude herself that perhaps he was waiting for her to return, but his parents and sister had no idea of the relationship between them.

They probably think he has been waiting and will try to matchmake.

Later that evening, Adam and Joel had met up to discuss something Adam claimed to be important.

They could have just discussed the outcome of Anna being picked up on the phone or he heard it directly from his assistant, but Adam insisted on meeting up.

Sitting at Joel’s dining table, both men had their dinner before heading towards the living room to chat over video game.

Adam started to speak. He complimented Carey too much for Joel not to realize something was off.

Joel paused the game and dropped the console before turning to face Adam, who sighed.

“Come off with it.” Joel said.

“I just noticed her a lot today. She’s a fine woman.” Adam said with uncertainty in his tone.

Joel was silent for a few seconds before opening his mouth to say, “Adam she has a fiancée.”

“Oh!” Adam exclaimed softly before laughing it off as a joke, “good for her.” He added.

Joel didn’t pursue the topic any further, knowing fully well it won’t lead to anything good.

Carey is a responsible woman who is as passionate about her work as she is with her relationship.

Joel would never hope for her life to be compromised.

Adam seemed awkward during the entire conversation they shared after that, but he soon got over it after they continued on with their soccer game.

The next morning inside Nima’s apartment, she could be seen pacing back and forth in her living room, her teeth nervously biting down on her second right hand finger.

It is the day Joel would be coming over to shoot a clip with her for the valentine’s special she promised her audience.

Nima and Joel had shared a kiss, but it was the current atmosphere that led to their kiss then.

They hadn’t discussed it, and Nima knew they had nothing to discuss concerning that. It just happened, and they both enjoyed it.

Now they will get to know each other better and then see where fate leads them.

But now that Joel would be coming to her house, Nima didn’t know how to react. She recalled her desire each time she finished a shooting section and wondered how she would look to Joel.

She just hoped she wouldn’t make a fool out of herself.

‘Deep breathe, Nima. You just have to see him as your mannequin. Yes! A moving Mannequin.’ Nima tried to assure herself.

Time passed, and soon, her doorbell rang.
