Come back to Me, My Ex-Wife

Chapter 41 He Doesn't Really Love You

Chapter 41 He Doesn't Really Love You

As Zola expected, Margery arrived at Bok Hospital at almost 10:30.

She pushed open the glass door and walked into the small but cozy service hall. Zola rushed over from the corner with a smile on her face, "Margery, why did you just come here? Are Ethan's legs any better? You know what? Vivian is here. She is worthy of being the first lady of H City, and she is very elegant and beautiful. Even I almost fall in love with her!"

"Margery, she was anxious looking for you, so I took her to your office."

Margery listened to Zola's gabbling, and kept smiling. When she heard that, she was shocked, "What? You brought her to my office? Why did you bring her into my office? I'm not here yet."

She steadied herself and immediately thought about what she had left in the office. She was relieved that she didn't leave any important information and credentials in the office.

"I'm sorry, Zola, I'm in a bad mood because I'm stressed recently, and I lost my temper."

"It's okay. I know you've been worrying about Ethan these days and you are under great pressure."

Zola didn't take that to her heart and asked curiously, "Margery, you agreed with me to bring patients to the office to wait for you before. Why can't I bring Vivian to your office?"

"I know her, and we've had an old grudge." Margery calmed herself down and suddenly remembered that Zola was outspoken. She stared at her, anxiously asking, "Zola, after Vivian arrived, did you say anything to her?" Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Zola, aware that she may have gotten Margery into trouble, lowered her head and said, "I'm sorry, Margery. I told her about your having a plastic surgery."

Margery was speechless.

She really wanted to stick this girl's mouth with adhesive tape.

"Margery, I made a mistake. Don't be angry! I won't be so talkative next time."

Zola shrank. Seeing that Margery was angry, and seemed to scold her, Zola ran away immediately.

Staring at her receding back, Margery gritted her teeth and wanted to match Zola with Melvin.

After standing in the office for a few minutes and taking deep breaths, Margery calmed herself down, then slowly opened the door and walked in.

Vivian was in there, and she had learned from Zola and knew that she had a plastic surgery and had given birth to children.

With so much information combining together, she wondered what Vivian would think.

Forget it. Just roll with the punches.

Knowing that she did not die, the one who should be afraid of was her cousin.

Thinking in this way, Margery smiled and walked in. She saw Vivian sitting on the small sofa not far from her desk, looking down to read the fashion magazines in her hands. When she heard the sound of the door opening, she raised her head gracefully and smiled, "Dr. Byrne, here you are."

Margery knew that Vivian had some doubts about her identity, but she was not going to reveal her true identity right now because Vivian hadn't had enough evidence. At least, it was not the right time to reveal Dr. Byrne's identity.

Since her cousin liked acting, Margery didn't mind acting with her.

After all, she had been dead once. What was she afraid of?

Margery walked over to Vivian and calmly looked at her fluttered eyes. Margery knew that Vivian was not as calm and elegant as she seemed to be and she couldn't help but smile, "Ms. Martin, you came to see me today for Mr. Barrett's illness or for your own skin care treatment?"

Vivian grabbed tightly the fashion magazine and looked back at Margery. "Skin care is not important for the moment," she said with a smile. "I just want to know about Golden's condition, so I come here to ask you about it."

While speaking, she looked at Margery's eyes carefully. They were charming but had a trace of disgust in them.

Why didn't she see it last time?

Vivian was furious and wanted to tear Margery up immediately.

However, she couldn't believe that Margery of five years ago could come back to life.

She couldn't do anything more until she had sound proof.

Golden was no longer the one who had loved her.

Then Vivian took her phone out of her purse and input the password to open the screen. She showed her phone to Margery and said, "Oh, I don't think I have Dr. Byrne's contact number yet, so let's add it to each other."

"Fine! As for Mr. Barrett's illness, there is no improvement for the moment."

Margery took out the phone from her handbag. As she looked down, her eyes landed on Vivian's brightly lit screen.

The light was a little dazzling. Margery blinked a few times and she saw the photo on the screen.

In a quiet restaurant with romantic lights, a handsome man and a beautiful woman were kissing each other.

Margery figured it out that they were Golden and Vivian.

Golden lowered his eyes and allowed Vivian to kiss him.

What a sweet couple. Even a blind man could feel how sweet they were.

The happier they were, the sadder the ex-wife was, who had been cruelly abandoned by Golden.

Margery felt numb and disgusted for a moment. She moved her eyelids very slowly and smiled vaguely. "Ms. Martin, could you tell me your mobile phone number and I'll add it to my address book?"

"No hurry."

Vivian was holding the phone in her hand and staring at Margery. Margery was a bit messy when she saw the photo. Vivian was more confident in her guessing and said, "Dr. Byrne, did you see the photo on my screen? What do you think about it? He is busy with work in his company, but he still spared time with me to have breakfast this morning. When he was in the mood, he insisted on giving me a farewell kiss! How sweet he was and how romantic the atmosphere was. I couldn't help but take a photo and saved it. As long as I see the picture, I can feel Golden's love for me."

Margery didn't expect that Golden kissed her after he kissed Vivian, which made Margery feel so disgusted.

"Ms. Martin, to tell you the truth, Mr. Barrett is sick. Even if he cares about you, it is not true love," smiled Margery.

Vivian was angry to hear that.

'Whether she is the Margery five years ago or not, I have to be on the alert.' thought Vivian.

Vivian's darkly sharp eyes fell on Margery. "Dr. Byrne, you're wrong. When Golden is cured, everything will be mine and he won't run away, right? Sorry, I forgot that I have saved your phone number last time."

"As for the skin care treatment... Maybe next time. I have something else to do."

Vivian just took the 1 million she gave Margery as a free gift.

Anyway, she wouldn't continue to have skin care treatment in this hospital. She was afraid that Margery would do something against her.

When she got what she wanted, Vivian did not stay. With coldness in her eyes, she stood up from the sofa and left with her bag gracefully.

After walking out of the Bok Hospital, Vivian got on the car and stared at the gate of the Bok Hospital with a cold face, waiting silently.

She wanted to see what this woman with the same name as Margery five years ago wanted to do when she approached Golden.

At 12:30 a.m., Vivian saw Margery get out of the hospital and get into a silver car. Vivian drove out of the parking lot, and followed her.
