Chapter 21
“Mom, please don’t kick Daisy out,” Laura pleaded, her eyes wide with desperation as she looked at Fiona
“Laura, she’s not worth it. Save that, or I’ll get angry,” Fiona said, patting Laura softly.
Then she glared at Daisy. “Daisy, seeing your sister begging for you like this, don’t you have a heart?”
Daisy shook her head, her face a mask of indifference. “I didn’t ask for it. She chose to. What does it have to do with me?”
“You!” Fiona was furious, almost at the point of lashing out at Daisy’s nonchalant attitude.
Elden’s return shattered the silence. “What are you all doing standing here?”
As soon as Fiona saw Elden, she put on a pitiful expression. “You have to deal with Daisy. I can’t handle her anymore.”
Elden looked puzzled at Daisy. “What’s going on? What happened?”
“Dad, today Daisy splashed someone’s face with boiling water at school, Laura said, her voice trembling.
Elden was shocked. “What? How could you be so cruel?”
Daisy sneered, “You’re quick to judge without knowing the whole story.”
Elden took a deep breath and asked Daisy, “Alright, I’ll give you a chance to explain. Why did you splash someone with boiling water?”
Laura clenched her dress nervously, hoping Daisy’s explanation would not appease their father.
“I didn’t do anything wrong, so why should I explain?” Daisy retorted, almost causing Elden to choke with anger.
He knew she had no respect for authority, but her blatant disregard for him was too much.
He raised his hand to slap her, but Daisy dodged with ease.
“You’re out of control. I’m still your father, and you’re still a Wilder. Don’t I have the right to discipline you?” he shouted.
Daisy smiled, “Since you didn’t raise me, you can’t discipline me And I didn’t do anything wrong. If you don’t want me here, just sign the contract, and I’ll disappear from the Wilder mansion.”
Hearing Daisy mention the contract again, Elden calmed down, wondering if she was being manipulated by his rivals. “Daisy, no matter what, I’m your biological father, and that won’t change, Elden said firmly.
Daisy was disappointed again, and did not expect Elden to be so persistent in the face of this matter, even if she had made him so angry, he still refused to sign that contract with her.
Laura, tears in her eyes, added, “Dad’s right. No matter what mistakes Daisy makes, she’s still my sister.”
Fiona, however, was the first to oppose Elden’s leniency. “Can we just let her go? What if she commits murder and arson in the future? Won’t the Wilder family have raised a criminal?”
Elden, frowning, finally said, “Tomorrow, you will apologize
“I won’t apologize for something I didn’t do.” Daisy replied defiantly.
“Daisy, don’t you know Yvonne is almost disfigured? If they call the police, you might…” Laura trailed off, her voice shaking.
“What would I do? I trust the justice system won’t convict the innocent. There are cameras in the classroom, so don’t lie,” Daisy said, her tone firm.
Laura stammered. “I’m on your side, Daisy.”
Elden.,sensing there was more to the story, asked, “Daisy, did you splash your classmate on purpose?”
“I was just defending myself. You can ask Laura; she was there. She knows what happened, Daisy said, throwing the question back to Laura.
Elden turned to Laura. Tell me what really happened.”
Laura, caught off guard, bit her lip, her eyes welling up with tears. “There was a misunderstanding between Yvonne and Daisy. Today, Yvonne accidentally knocked over Daisy’s cup, and Daisy blocked it with a book, splashing Yvonne.”
Laura was very scheming to deal with the whole thing, but Daisy was already about to let it go.
“So an accident?” Elden sighed in relief, then chided Daisy. “Why didn’t you tell me this earlier?”
“There was no need. It’s not worth explaining to those who don’t matter,” Daisy said, her voice dripping with disdain.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
“Even if it was an accident, her attitude is unacceptable, Fiona interjected, still fuming from her earlier encounter with Daisy.
Elden tried to reason with Daisy. “We are your parents. I know you blame us for the mix-up years ago, but that wasn’t our intention. Now that you’re back, be the Wilder heiress we expect you to be, and we’ll treat you as our daughter.”
Daisy looked at Elden with a cold smirk, finding his words ridiculous. A true daughter didn’t need to be treated as one; it was a given.
Yvonne’s face had swelled from a burn, and after a few days of rest at home, she was back in the classroom. Her first order af business? Getting back at Daisy.
This time, though, she wasn’t about to make a scene. When Daisy and Emma headed to the convenience store, Yvonne seized the moment and slunk over to Daisy’s desk.
There, on the pristine surface, lay Daisy’s chemistry notebook, with her handwriting as exquisite as ever-neat, delicate, and strong, a testament to hours of calligraphy practice.
With a scornful huff, Yvonne sn**ed up the notebook and began to rip it apart. Her classmates watched, curious but silent, as if sensing the brewing storm.
“Keep staring and I’ll make sure you regret it,” Yvonne warned, her voice low but laced with a threat that echoed through the
