Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 44

Chapter 44

As he glanced through the car window, Dorlan’s expression turned grim. He looked at the sachet– like things hanging around Gisele’s neck.

A crowd had gathered around Gisele, consisting mostly of office workers from surrounding buildings, with the occasional presence of elderly residents, who lived nearby.

Gisele, who was standing in the crowd, appeared mostly unperturbed, except for her slightly bloodshot eyes. When she spoke, she always had a genteel smile on her face.

Had she actually set up a stall on the main street next to Jefferson Group Tower?

Although he couldn’t hear her, Dorian could imagine her melodious voice vividly explaining the things she was wearing around her neck to the crowd.

When Jon noticed that Dorian hadn’t given any orders, he drove the car into the basement parking lot. However, he suddenly heard Dorian’s unfeeling voice. “Go over and take a look.”

“Got it, Mr. Jefferson.”

After saying that, Jon drove out of the basement parking lot and made a detour to get to the

intersection on the main street.

Further down the road was the renowned main street of Hearthfield, where no vehicles were

allowed to enter. Therefore, Dorian simply rolled down the car window and watched Gisele through the crowd.

With the window rolled down, the hubbub of voices immediately reached Dorian’s ears.

He couldn’t help but furrow his brow. Yet, despite the noisy crowd, he could immediately

discern Gisele’s voice.

She had a unique voice that was incredibly charming, but in a graceful way. When she spoke,

it was like listening to a gentle melody.

“Everybody, take it easy! I’ve still got several boxes left. In order to ensure everyone gets a chance to try these goodies, please don’t hoard them!”

Gisele’s voice echoed as she held the jar of jam and explained, “What I have here is a jam made with mangoes and strawberries. It’s sugar–free, additive–free, and all–natural.

“It also contains a little bit of traditional herbs that can help treat coughs and other respiratory problems.”

Dorian’s brow furrowed when he heard that. After all, he had consumed a lot of that jam

before.

“Meanwhile, these tea bags come in two varieties. There’s one for combating fatigue and another for calming nerves. I also have edema–reduction ointments, insect–repellent

ointments, and many more!

Gisele enthusiastically introduced the benefits of the items she was selling to everyone.

She even applied some anti–inflammatory and itch–relief ointment to a mosquito bite on a child’s skin. The cool, soothing sensation and pleasant herbal scent immediately relieved the child’s itching.

The result was so impressive that it prompted everyone to clamor for it.

“Hey! I want those anti–fatigue sachets and tea bags! Give me a week’s worth! Actually, make it a month’s worth!”

“I’ll take that acne ointment! You’re truly a lifesaver!!

“I’ll take a set of jam. I’m going to buy it as a gift.”

Everyone in the crowd went on a shopping frenzy as if those products were free of charge.

Gisele smiled as she packed everyone’s orders. As she handed over the neatly wrapped tea bags and sachets, she explained, “If you find them effective, you can purchase them on our online store at ‘Sunshine Apothecary‘!

“They work just as well as the ones you bought here, as they’re all personally handcrafted by me!”

As she said goodbye to the customers, Gisele was about to start packing for the next customer when she noticed Dorian in the crowd.

After a quick glance, Gisele immediately went back to the task at hand.

It was as if Dorian was just an insignificant person.

Those who had purchased their desired items left happily, and the crowd around the stall gradually dwindled. As lunch break came to an end, there were fewer products at Gisele’s

Dorian scrutinized Gisele with his profound gaze. She was truly a woman of insatiable greed. She was even selling a sachet for 95 dollars. Wasn’t that just daylight robbery?

Jon waited until there was no one at Gisele’s stall before he walked up and said in a businesslike manner, “I’ll buy this bag of tea bags.”

“Oh, I’m sorry! Our humble store can’t afford to do business with a giant like Jefferson

Group. Please find another place to shop,” Gisele sald curtly, not even bothering to spare A glance at Dorlan.

Dorian’s eyes narrowed slightly. Was she deliberately playing hard to get?
