Chapter 16 As long as I’m here, you can’t be with another man
Chandler was so disliked that he couldn’t speak for a moment, and could only look at her with an unpleasant face.
“You told me to get out.” His face sank, and at her shift, Chandler sneered, “What qualifications do you have to tell me to get out.”
Susan stared at him indignantly, “I am not qualified, because I am nothing in your eyes!”
Chandler then walked over and tugged her wrist to leave, Susan wriggled and struggled, her brow furrowed, “Let go of me!”
Alex suddenly came over and squeezed his hand, Chandler was furious: “get out.”
“Let her go.” Alex looked at him calmly, compared to his rage, Alex was only indifferent.
Susan was also struggling, her wrists were squeezed tightly by him, so red that they were rubbing off a layer of skin.
“You let go of me!” She tried hard to twist her hand back.
Chandler didn’t look at her again, his gaze fixed on his wrist, reiterating once more, “Let go!”
“Get her off!” Alex was not to be outdone, and the three men froze in place.
Chandler released her and tossed up his sleeves to tangle with Alex.
Susan was shocked and tried to stop them, not caring about the pain in her wrist.
“Stop it, Chandler, stop fighting!” She watched from the sidelines. But it didn’t help. Seeing them getting more and more ruthless, Susan stood directly in front of Chandler.
The two men looked a little weird, but Susan shouted in a mute voice at that moment, “Enough!”
The clothes on her body had long been wet like a rag, and her face was dripping with something that she didn’t know whether it was tears or rain.
Alex was still lying on the ground, the umbrella had long since been thrown away somewhere. His hair was wet and plastered to his face, without his usual svelte calm.
“Alex, I’m sorry. This is between him and me, and I’m sorry to have gotten you involved.” She couldn’t help but cover her eyes again and took a moment to slow down before huffing again and saying, “Thank you for your help, and, I’m sorry.”
He lay on the floor, watching her desperation and helplessness as she turned away, and there was nothing he could do.
Susan sniffled, looked at Chandler, and smiled, “Aren’t you here to pick me up? Let’s go.”NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
His face eased a little, but as he was leaving, he gave Alex a provocative look and seeing his unpleasant face, his heart was relieved.
When she got back into the car, she tucked herself into a corner. He was a little farther away and saw that she still looked cowering and had a few hard feelings in his heart.
“You like Alex that much!”
She was silent, not a single movement. Chandler slammed on the brakes straight away, looked at her, and cupped her chin.
“I’m telling you, as long as I’m around, you’re never going to be with another man!” His face changed abruptly, thinking about what had just happened, and a ball of anger rose in his heart, “You tell me where he just touched you, here or there!”
Susan was oblivious to all of these things. She was like a senseless rag doll, staring blankly ahead, not feeling anything about what Chandler was doing.
The two of them were on the road, in a small car, even though their clothes were untied, and Susan was being demanded by him repeatedly, there was still no movement.
“You want me to die that badly?” There was a madness in her eyes, and before Chandler could react, she had started cooing and giggling, “Fine. I promise you!”
Chandler looked at her like this, holding back his panic, still remaining calm, “It’s just a bitter trick, do you think it will work on me?”
Susan closed her eyes without any explanation. Everything was relieved. Only the blood in her throat choked her, causing her to cough violently.
“Don’t pretend, get up!” Chandler took one look at her and finally felt something was wrong, nudging her, but she didn’t move. This caught him even more off guard: “What’s wrong with you, open your mouth, I order you to open your mouth!”
He trembled and panicked as he wiped the blood seeping out of her mouth, watching her face gradually turn gray, Chandler was completely panicked.
“Don’t die. You don’t die. Open your eyes, look at me, I am your husband, I will not lie to you again, I will not play you again, you want children, I will give you children, you want money and I will give you money, as long as you do not die. You wake up and look at me.” He put the clothes next to him on her, afraid she would get cold.
Seeing her coughing, Chandler was so glad, saying good words to comfort her, “I’ll give you whatever you want, I’ll give you the stars and the moon if you want. Don’t leave me, don’t leave me, okay?”
But Susan could not hear anything, she had no parents, no children, and even the people she loved wanted her to die. She was really miserable.
