Chloe leaned on her elbows, looking at him with the curiosity of a lazy cat. "So, you were just putting on a show because you knew Lisa was watching us, huh?"

"Yeah, I was really mad, but I was also acting."

Chloe's lips curled into a sly smile. "Still, why'd you let Lisa start working at CNR? What job do you have in mind for her?"
