Don’t Mess With the Rock Chicks

Chapter 194

Chapter 194

Karry’s car drove away before she turned and walked through the gates of Tranquil Park.

After walking a few steps, he saw Bowen’s tall figure in front of the bamboo forest.

If he hadn’t been smoking, the smell of smoke would have drifted under Jolene’s nose, and she would have been startled by him.

“You’re back.” She calmed down.

“Hmm, went drinking with Karry?” He was really dog–nosed, and he could smell the alcohol on her from a distance.

Jolene was noncommittal: “Well, a few drinks.”

She thought Bowen would be angry, but he wasn t.

Bowen is always the one who plays his cards out of line.

When Jolene thought he would do this, he did.

In the past, Jolene would guess what Bowen’s mood was under his flat expression, but later she was too tired to guess.

She walked up to Bowen, and even though he was smoking, she was still sensitive to the special potion smell.

The private detective called her at night and told her his personal opinion. He thought that the woman should have a blood disease, because the hospital gave her a large amount

of blood transfusion last night. Generally speaking, to cure a blood disease, only bone marrow can be transplanted.

“Otherwise, you are her bone marrow bank?”

The private detective also suggested: “If it really doesn’t work, you can run away. Other methods won’t work. Even if you call the police, these are just your subjective assumptions, and the police can’t do anything about it.”

“Jolene.” She was in a daze, and half of her steps were taken, and she seemed to be frozen in place as if she had been pointed. Bowen pulled her: “What are you thinking?”

“Thinking.” Jolene looked up and smiled weakly at him: “You know, I love to think.”

“Mom went to Calliope’s place?”

“Yeah.” Jolene nodded.

“Sophie was grounded for a week, and all her accounts were frozen.” Bowen took her hand and walked forward slowly, and casually flicked the cigarette butt into the trash can not far away: “She is just a small trouble, and she dares not do anything.”

“It’s hard to say.”

“Why?” Bowen turned to look at her.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

“Last time I met Sophie at the police station, her eyes were very scary, different from before.” Jolene sighed softly, her voice trembling: “That’s why I sent my mother away, I hope I overthought it.”

Bowen’s eyes stayed on her for a few seconds before he

slowly withdrew, nodded and said, “It’s okay to be careful, Sophie does things recklessly and is a little crazy.”

“Now that she’s been punished, she probably hates me even more.”

“I won’t have any dealings with the Gellar Family in the future, and Atticus will pressure her, so she won’t make trouble for a while.” Bowen comforted her gently: “Besides, you don’t have to worry about me, she won’t dare to do anything.”

Jolene walked forward with her head down, the street lamps in the garden bright, Bowen’s shadow trailing diagonally across the ground.

His shadow was long, like the silhouette of an extremely long knife.

Just looking at the shadow, one can feel it is extremely sharp.

Jolene’s head shrank as if the knife was already hanging around her neck.

They walked into the mansion together, and Jolene bent down to change her shoes, perhaps with her head down too hard, drank some more wine, and suddenly looked up a little dizzy, staggered and almost fell.

Bowen quickly supported her: “Are you okay? Where are you uncomfortable?”

Jolene could clearly hear the anxiety in his voice.

Is he so worried because his health is closely related to the girl lying on the hospital bed?

Jolene looked up at him, almost asking if she couldn’t hold her

breath.
