CHAPTER 38
Amber’s POV
In the days and weeks that followed, as we settled into married life, I found myself liking my husband more and more each day. He showed me a world that I had never known before, a world of simple pleasures and quiet joys.
And as I looked back on my grand wedding, I realized that it was the start of something wonderful and new, a journey that would take us both to places we had never imagined.
But then, it seemed that the Moon Goddess did not want me to be happy. During the wedding, my heart was pounding with excitement and nerves, but as I got closer, I noticed someone standing next to Tom, someone I hadn’t seen before.
When I noticed their slight resemblance, I knew it was Tom’s brother. As I looked into the man’s eyes, I felt something stir inside me. He was tall, and handsome, with piercing blue eyes and a smile that made my heart almost skip a beat.
We exchanged pleasantries, but as the wedding ceremony began, I couldn’t help but steal glances at him. There was something about him that drew me in, that made me want to know him better, or it might be because he somehow reminded me of Dale. Everything about him reminded me of Dale Ramsay, especially his tattooed arms.
I found myself gravitating toward him. We talked and laughed and danced together, and I felt a connection growing between us. It was a dangerous game, falling for my husband’s brother on my wedding day. But I couldn’t help myself. He was everything my husband wasn’t: he reminded me of Dale!
Then, the time came when my husband and I had to go to our honeymoon cottage. When Tom started kissing me, I couldn’t help but think of another man doing it with me. I imagined it was Dale who kissed me. I knew it was wrong but I couldn’t help it.
In the days and weeks that followed, I tried to push my feelings aside and focus on my husband. But every time I saw his brother, my heart would flutter with desire.
It was a difficult situation and one that could only end in heartbreak. But I couldn’t help the way I felt, and I knew that I had to make a choice: stay with my husband and try to make things work, or follow my heart and risk everything.
It was a decision I would have to make, and one that would have far-reaching consequences. But for now, all I could do was try to push my feelings aside and focus on the life that lay ahead of me.NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
It was a dangerous game I was playing, one that could have serious consequences. I was attracted to my husband’s brother, Stefan, but I knew that giving in to my desires would be illegal and immoral.
However, Stefan was a master in the art of seduction, and every time we were alone together, I felt the sparks fly. I tried my best to suppress my feelings, but it was getting harder and harder to resist his advances.
It was a difficult conversation that I had been dreading for days. I knew that I needed to talk to Stefan about my feelings for him and how they were affecting my marriage to his brother, Tom.
One day, when Tom was out of town, I asked Stefan to come into our home. I prepared coffee before his arrival, and as soon as he arrived, I told him to wait for me at the gazebo.
As I sipped my coffee, I took a deep breath and began to speak.
“Stefan, I need to be honest with you,” I said, looking into his eyes. “I’m married now, and I need to focus on my relationship with Tom. I can’t continue to have these feelings for you, and I need you to stay away from me.”
Stefan’s face fell, and I could see the disappointment in his eyes. “I understand, Amber,” he said softly. “I’ve always known that we could never be together in the way we wanted to be.”
I felt a pang of sadness in my heart, but I knew that what I was doing was for the best. “I’m sorry if I’ve hurt you,” I said, reaching across the table to take his hand. “You’re a wonderful person, and I value your friendship. But for the sake of my marriage, I need you to respect my wishes and stay away from me.”
Stefan nodded, a small smile on his lips. “I’ll always be here for you, Amber,” he said. “But I’ll respect your decision. You deserve to be happy, and I want nothing more than for you to find that happiness with Tom.”
As we parted ways, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. It wasn’t easy to let go of my feelings for Stefan, but I knew that it was the right thing to do. I had to be committed to my marriage, and I knew that I needed to focus on building a future with Tom.
And although it was hard at times, I worked hard to keep my distance from Stefan, knowing that my marriage was worth the effort. In the end, my decision to stay faithful to Tom paid off, and we emerged stronger and more committed than ever before.
I didn’t want to risk everything we had built together. But Stefan was relentless in his pursuit of me, and I found myself caught up in his web of desire.
One night, we found ourselves alone in a secluded room. Stefan was more charming and irresistible than ever before, and I felt myself being swept away by his seductive powers.
For a moment, I almost gave in to my desires. But then, I remembered my husband and the life we had built together. I couldn’t betray him like this.
With a heavy heart, I pushed Stefan away and fled from the room. It was a painful and difficult decision, but one that I knew was right.
In the aftermath, things were tense between Stefan and me. He couldn’t understand why I had turned him down, and I couldn’t explain the depth of my feelings for my husband.
But in the end, I knew that I had made the right choice.
However, Tom found out about my affair with Stefan, and he was furious. He threatened me, telling me that if I didn’t end things with his brother, he would ruin my life or the life of Dale Ramsay.
“How did you know about Dale and me?” I asked him in disbelief.
“Really, Amber? Did you really take me for a fool?”
Then, he laughed evilly.
Tom’s threats made things even more difficult. I didn’t know what he was capable of, and I didn’t want to find out.
“I know you are his whore before coming here, and I was right. In no time at all, you found yourself attracted to Stefan because he reminded you of Dale, am I correct?”
“No, that is not true, Tom,” I lied.
“Liar!” he screamed before punching my stomach.
