ALPHA ROBIN'S POV

I didn't know that the issue was constantly bugging me until Anita called me and I realised that I had zoned out, again.

"Baby, are you okay?" She asked again with a face full of concern.

"Can you please give me a moment?" I asked, handing her the bowl and heading to the restroom. I didn't want her to ask so many questions, especially now that I am in this state.

She didn't insist, she had listened to what I warned her about that behaviour, earlier on.

This gave me ample time to think about what was bugging me, earlier on.

As I sat on that toilet seat, I convinced myself that I didn't make any mistake when I decided to wipe out some parts of her memory concerning knowing who actually beat the hell out of her. The spell worked pretty well because up to now she had not mentioned Lola's name and demanded for her to be punished.

She already disliked Lola. If she could still remember that Lola was the reason she almost died, then she would have easily demanded that she should be punished by banishing her from the pack which was going to be a hard nut to crack. Lola knew my secret and I was protecting that secret. Truth be told, I didn't really care about her, I cared about Anita. I had a past with Lola but that is over and done with at the moment.

I had to keep my calm or else I would get busted. So far so good, Anita doesn't suspect anything to mean my secret is still safe. I had to play along and ensure that she does not suspect me for anything whatsoever.

"Baby, are you sure that you are okay?" Anita asked once again when I joined her.

"Yes, I am fine,” I said, taking the bowl from her and placing it on the kitchen sink.

"

Okay," She said even though from the look on her face it didn't look like she was convinced.

"I have to go and attend to pack duties. I want you to have lots of rest, do you hear me." I instructed.

"Yes," She nodded as she got comfortable in bed.

I love it every time that she submits to me, I really don't like to be questioned, especially now that I am hiding some things from her.

"I love you, I will see you later," I told her before leaving.

Closing the door behind me, I headed to the dorms. There were no pack duties that I was going to attend to, instead, I was going to see Lola, it turns out that we have a couple of things to discuss.

I went straight to her room and she didn't seem shocked to see me. It felt like she knew that I was going to come and she was expecting me.

"Ann, can you please give us a minute," She requested her best friend who left immediately.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!" I asked through gritted teeth as I wrapped palms around his neck,and started applying pressure.

"What are you doing, you are hurting me," She shouted but I didn't stop.

I was boiling in anger, she needed to pay for her actions. Not only did she hurt the woman I love, but she also put me in that place where I was forced to use my spell.

"Let go!" She shouted once again and I took a step away from her.

"Do you want to kill me, huh? Is that why you are here," She asked as she turned her neck gently to try and ease the intense pain that I had subjected to her. "Would it be wrong if I killed you, huh? You know what you did! How dare you beat the hell out of her. Was your intention to kill her?" I asked.

"What if I killed her? What would you have done? I was pissed and hurt. What did you expect me to do?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked. I realised that it was way deeper than I thought. There could have been a provocation which in turn led her to do what she did.

"She told me everything. How you fucked her and how she was your first. We talked about this Alpha Robin. This was supposed to be another one of your games. Why are you now acting like you have fallen in love with her, huh?" Lola asked

"It's because I have," I said out boldly.

"What is it about her that you really like so much that I cannot give it to you?" She asked.

"I was her first." I said and she could not handle it.

"You are not only a liar but a son of a bitch. I hate you!" Lola said.

"I know you don't, you love me, you are just jealous that I am obsessed with another woman," I told her.

She wanted to deny my allegations but she ended up accepting, thinking that we are going to make a deal out of this.

"I am jealous, let me admit. But it's because I am in love with you and I want what we have to continue." She said.

"Wait, it doesn't bother you that I am with her?" I had to ask because I wasn't quite getting it clearly.

"Alpha Robin, you own my heart and I would do anything to make you mine," She confessed.

"You should. You should be with me," She said with a seductive smile playing on her lips but I did not buy it.

"Listen to me Lola,” I said, raising my voice.

"What's going on, I thought we were on the same page. Why are you raising your voice at me?" She asked with concern written all over her face.

"We are not and we will never be. As a matter of fact, we are even. Don't ever threaten me about anything. I know your secret and you know mine," I told her. "What secret?" She asked as she looked around, arching her eyebrows in confusion.
