Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 2146

Chapter 2146

Gabriel perhaps sensed the shift in her mood, gradually ceasing his movements, he lifted his head and brushed his lips against hers, his voice husky, "Let's head back, we've been out for a while."

Sylvia nodded, "Sounds good." Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

As they exited, Sylvia hung back, whispering, "You go on ahead."

"Hmm?" Gabriel turned.

Sylvia concealed a smile, gesturing to her lips, "Like this, we'll be caught."

Gabriel's eyes darkened, he said nothing more, and strode forward.

Sylvia returned to the restroom, gazing at her slightly swollen lips in the mirror, she gingerly touched them, her gaze becoming distant as she reapplied her lipstick carefully.

When she emerged, she saw Gabriel standing some distance away, waiting. Upon seeing her, he turned and headed back to the private room.

Sylvia's lips curled into a slight smile as she followed.

Back in the private room, Evelyn gave Sylvia a scrutinizing look, noting the fresh coat of lipstick and the puffiness of her lips, her gaze sinking slightly.

In the time that had passed, had Sylvia been with Eugene or with Gabriel?

"Where's Timothy?" Carson suddenly asked, "Why's he been gone so long?"

Sylvia spoke softly, "Sorry, I ran into Mr. Anderson, he insisted on recruiting me for his company, and we had a bit of a disagreement."

Everyone paused, taken aback.

Sylvia had put it delicately, but they were all sharp enough to read between the lines.

Carson's face fell, his voice raised in anger, "That scumbag."

It was his responsibility, having brought the man along, who was his cousin's boyfriend, and now they were both the subject of embarrassment.

"I apologize, Ms. Jarvis, I'll take care of this and make it up to you," Carson said sternly.

Sylvia smiled, "It's okay, it's just that his words were also demeaning and sarcastic towards Ms. Foster, and that's quite upsetting for her."

Carson grew more furious, standing up to confront Timothy, when suddenly two waitstaff appeared, supporting a groggy Timothy, "Mr. Lamont, Mr. James, is he with you?"

Carson said coldly, "Just throw him out."

The waitstaff hesitated but didn't dare question further, quickly dragging the still unconscious Timothy away.

Magdalen scoffed, "The world could do with fewer people like him."

Carson said, "I'll tell my uncle to cancel the engagement with the Anderson family as soon as possible."

Evelyn, having just played cards with Timothy, felt a sour taste in her mouth, her voice tinged with ambiguity, "Ms. Jarvis, you are so formidable, knocking a man out cold."

Gabriel suddenly looked up, "I kicked him."

Evelyn was stunned.

A thrill of excitement crossed Magdalen's face as she looked at Estelle, her eyes inquiring, "What does that mean?"

Estelle just smiled and shook her head.

Some things are better left unsaid, some things are difficult to say.

Magdalen's eyes twinkled, "Is there a story there?"

Estelle continued to smile secretively.

Charlie chimed in with a laugh, "Alright, let's not let this scum ruin our mood, let's keep playing."

The group brushed off the incident with Timothy, refocused, and continued their card game.

They played until almost eleven before calling it a night.

Having had a few drinks, the hotel arranged for drivers to take everyone home.

Evelyn headed towards Gabriel's car, but Magdalen handed Sylvia over to Gabriel with a playful remark, "Gabriel, you take Sylvia home. She's pretty, and I worry about her."
