Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 2159

Chapter 2159

Xavier’s injuries were more serious than Estelle's.

Jonathan held Estelle's hand, "You didn't sleep well last night, do you want to go back and rest?"

"No need, I'll catch up on sleep this afternoon."

He nodded, "Alright, I'll go with you later."

When they arrived at Old Mr. Quintin's home and he found out Sophia was sick, he was both angry and distressed, "Why didn't you come home earlier?"

Sophia chuckled, "Don't be mad, you know you look quite frightening when you're angry with that furrowed brow and glaring eyes. I'm fine now, don't scare me sick again."

Old Mr. Quintin looked at her helplessly, "Get upstairs and rest, I'll have the kitchen whip up some more hearty comfort food for you."

Evelyn approached with politeness, "Sophia, it's so good to see you."

Sophia's smile remained warm, "Evelyn."

Old Mr. Quintin interjected, "This works out well, with you being under the weather, you can stay here for a few days, and you will have some company."

"Don't worry, Grandpa, I'll take good care of Sophia." Evelyn nodded with a smile. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

Old Mr. Quintin was visibly pleased and urged Sophia, "Get on upstairs and lie down."

Robin escorted Sophia upstairs while Jonathan and Old Mr. Jarvis headed to the living room. Just then, Gabriel walked in.

Old Mr. Jarvis let out a meaningful chuckle, "Been to visit that old friend of yours again?"

Gabriel ignored Old Mr. Jarvis' teasing and turned to Jonathan, "What brings you here today?"

Estelle mentioned Sophia's illness, looking a bit surprised at Gabriel's expression, "Did you just get back?"

Gabriel was the picture of composure, "Yeah."

Estelle smirked slightly but didn't speak, feeling that her suspicions were unlikely, yet she had a hunch that there was something she didn't know between him and Sylvia.

Leaving the three men to chat in the living room, Estelle quickly sought out Old Mr. Quintin.

After confirming that there was something unusual about Gabriel's relationship with Sylvia, she felt it was imperative to clear the air.

Estelle called Old Mr. Quintin into the study and poured him some tea, "Master, have you been in high spirits lately?"

"Thanks to you," Old Mr. Quintin beamed.

Sitting beside him, Estelle chuckled, "Master, I know you're happy, but there are things I must address."

Old Mr. Quintin set down his tea cup, "Go ahead."

Estelle spoke with a steady tone, "First, Evelyn might not be Vivian's daughter, so you should be prepared. Second, please stop trying to matchmake Evelyn with my brother. He doesn't like her in that way, and I think you can see that."

Old Mr. Quintin's voice was grave, "Your brother is still unmarried. Although your grandfather seems patient, he surely wants him to settle down and start a family. What's wrong with strengthening the bond between our two families?"

"But feelings can't be forced. Do you see any romantic interest from Gabriel towards Evelyn?"

"Feelings can be cultivated."

"Master, Gabriel probably has someone he likes."

"That Sylvia?" Old Mr. Quintin asked with disdain.

Estelle was taken aback, "How do you know about Sylvia?"

Old Mr. Quintin scoffed, "Never mind how I know. Is it her? Do you really think she's sincere with your brother?"

Estelle replied, "The history between Sylvia and Gabriel isn't something that can be explained in a few words. But whether or not my brother likes Sylvia, he definitely doesn't have feelings for Evelyn. You keep bringing up marrying her off to my brother in front of Evelyn. What if she falls for him and he doesn't reciprocate? She'll end up hurt. For Evelyn's sake, please stop mentioning it, okay?"

Old Mr. Quintin sighed, "Do you all think I'm rushing things?"

Estelle nodded, "A bit, but I understand you're just looking out for Evelyn."
