Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 2196

Chapter 2196

“What’s for lunch?”

As she approaching, a soft glow enveloping her, lips so lush it made one yearn for a taste.

Gabriel was only human, taking her hand and pulling her onto his lap, caressing her lips with a kiss, murmuring, “I’m easy.”

Sylvia’s gaze was a bit hazy, her lips even more tender after being kissed. She leaned into his shoulder, her body fitting perfectly in his embrace.

Listening to his heartbeat, she thought to herself that although he claimed to be undemanding, he wouldn’t touch anything he disliked.

After a moment, she looked up with a smile, “How about seafood? I know a place that does it just right.”

“Sounds good to me, you decide!” he replied.

Sylvia set the GPS for a spot in Orli, and Gabriel drove them there.

When it came to ordering, Sylvia chose a bottle of wine, prompting Gabriel to raise an eyebrow, “Taking the afternoon off?”

She replied, “Yep, playing hooky today. We’re going shopping.”

“Shopping?” Gabriel was taken aback.

“Of course, since becoming the boss, I never imagined I’d need a bodyguard!” Sylvia’s eyes twinkled with mischief, “Now that I’ve got one, I might as well show off and milk him for all he’s worth.”

Gabriel laughed, sipping his tea with a smile that held a tinge of indulgence.

After their meal, Sylvia went to freshen up. When the waiter brought fruit and Gabriel had settled the bill, the wine turned out to be pricey, over seven hundred dollars, and Sylvia had only had a small glass. The waiter, after consulting Gabriel, stored the remaining wine away.

Upon her return, Sylvia found out that Gabriel had already paid.

Frowning, she looked at him, “Why didn’t you wait for me?”

He looked back calmly, “Do we need to split things?”

Slightly tipsy, Sylvia pressed her lips together and headed out.

As they got into the car, Magdalen had just parked her own vehicle. She watched them drive off, her radiant face a mix of surprise and delight.

She immediately called Estelle.

Estelle was at the Quintin family estate, having just finished lunch and was chatting with Old Mr. Jarvis. Hearing her phone, she stepped into the hallway, “Magdalen!”

Magdalen was excited, “Is Gab home?”

“No, he’s out. What’s up?”

“You won’t believe who I just saw!” Magdalen bubbled over with happiness, “I saw Gab and Sylvia together at Orli, they just drove off.”

Estelle raised an eyebrow, “Is that so?”

“I’ve played matchmaker, haven’t I?” Magdalen boasted.

Estelle joked, “If they’re really an item, you’ll get a hefty bonus!” NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Magdalen replied, “Forget the bonus, I’m just thrilled!”

She pressed on, “Ella, do you get how I feel?”

Estelle laughed, “I get it, I get it!”

They chatted a bit more, and Estelle, knowing Magdalen had a client to meet at Orli, urged her to focus on that first.

After hanging up, Estelle returned to the sitting room and asked Old Mr. Jarvis, “Has my brother been out the past few days?”

Old Mr. Jarvis waved his hand dismissively, “Don’t worry about him!”

Estelle grinned, sensing that the old man might already know something.

Sylvia and her brother, was he raising a wife for himself?

She began to feel anticipation herself!

It wasn’t a weekend, so the mall was less crowded.

Sylvia browsed a few stores, Gabriel accompanying her patiently.

In a particular boutique, she tried on a coat she liked.

The clerk helped her adjust it, praising, “With your figure, you can pull off this coat no problem. It’s oatmeal-colored, looks so warm and cozy for winter.”
