Chapter 3: A crowd of journalists rushing in
Allyce looks at Severo in disbelief; the wine Richie gave him must have been drugged, but why was Severo’s wine also drugged?
Could they be trying to kill Severo as well?
Last night she was very careful and Richie ordered his men to catch her. She didn’t get very far, her body looked abnormal. She can’t remember the rest. Now she had a severe headache and was in agony.
“You drank that wine. I don’t remember what happened next. Severo doesn’t seem to like to talk. He seemed impassive and there was a certain question in his tone, as if he was blaming her.
Allyce stared at him and looked as if he had deliberately drunk the dubious wine. Clever as he was, he had been set up.
“Knock, knock.
A knock at the door interrupted Allyce’s thoughts as Severo went over to open it and rushed back in, throwing a bag at her. Before she could react, Severo had already untied his towel and started to change.
“Aww, Severo, you’re so unfriendly!” Allyce pulled the blankets over herself; she’d never admit she’d just seen …
Severo turned and looked at her. Although she behaved boldly, she was actually shy and innocent.
“If you don’t get dressed yet, you’ll be more embarrassed later”.
No sooner had he finished the sentence than the door was pushed open. Then a group of journalists entered.
The spotlights shone on Allyce’s pale face as reporters rushed to ask: “Miss Delahoz and Mr Nuncio …”.
The journalists were stunned when they realised that the person in the room was not Richie.
Allyce, the second daughter of the Delahoz family, and Richie were reportedly together last night at the Hotel Gindis, but what has happened now?
They did not know the man, who was obviously not a rich man, but he looked handsome. With Miss Delahoz’s usual reputation and popularity, he would also be a success.
“Excuse me Miss Delahoz, is this your new bed partner?”
“Sir, what is the price for you to be Miss Delahoz’s bedfellow?”
“…”
Journalists gathered around the bed. The cameras were almost touching her face and the questions were becoming less and less popular. Allyce sat naked on the bed, the feeling of humiliation had spread through her body. She thought Senona was trying to ruin her and tarnish her reputation so that she would be expelled from the Delahoz family.
“Miss Delahoz, are you influenced by your father, who was sent to prison, to behave in this way?”
Allyce’s eyes suddenly widened and turned scarlet, but she did not let the tears fall.
Severo, who was standing in the crowd, suddenly changed his attitude and came striding forward.
He grabbed a camera and unceremoniously threw it at the journalists. His face looked grim, as if he was staring at dead people. Then he said: “Get out of here.
The journalists who were caught on camera were terrified by the powerful aura emanating from Severo. And their vision was terrifying. It seemed that if they didn’t come out in ten seconds, they could be killed by him.
In less than ten seconds, all the journalists in the room had left.
Although Allyce was still pale, she had come to her senses. She picked up the clothes Severo had thrown at her and began to change in front of him.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
After changing, she turned and got out of bed. But her legs suddenly weakened and she almost fell to the floor, and Severo reached out his hands in time to support her.
Then Allyce looked up to study him. His facial features were prominent, his lines unmistakably perfect. He was more handsome than any of the powerful men she had seen in Cloud City.
More importantly, his eyes were as deep, as mysterious and dangerous mountains under cover of darkness.
Allyce suddenly came to her senses, only to realise that she had almost been killed by his eyes. She quickly pushed him away and said “thank you”.
It was somewhat ironic that he expressed his gratitude to a man who had taken the first night away from him.
After talking, she grabbed her bag and went into the bathroom. She quickly washed herself and applied her make-up brilliantly. When she came out, she realised that Severo had not yet left.
She went to the door, looked back at him and said with a cold expression: “When we go out of this door, if we meet on the way, remember to pretend we don’t know each other.
