Chapter 17 Blood Roses
I didn’t wait for Jamie, and my mother and sister, after my last outburst, stopped contacting me.
When the long-awaited knock on the door came, I ran barefoot to the entrance, eagerly opening it, only to see two unfamiliar burly men.
Before I could react, I was kidnapped.
They blindfolded me with a black cloth and, after a bumpy ride, roughly dragged me out of the car.
I was thrown into a shabby, rundown house, where I heard a voice, fragile and weak.
“Is that you? Olivia?”
“Jamie, is that you?”
Tears blurred my vision under the blindfold as I crawled towards the source of the voice, finding Jamie and holding onto him tightly.
With a creak, the wooden door opened, and a hoarse middle-aged male voice approached us.
“Drink or drown.” It’s in my rules.
“Rare to see a lad who can refuse the benefits I provide. You reject power and wealth just for her?”
“Unfortunately, this pleasure, you’re probably not going to enjoy it anymore!”
It was Mr. Galer.
Why can’t he just let me go?
“What do you want?” I asked him with hatred.
“Oh, Olivia, pretending to be noble. I don’t mind how much money you’ve spent, I have plenty of it.”
“But if you dare defy me, you’re committing a grave offense!”
“Something is coming at me!” Jamie retorted, positioning himself in front of me.
“Just you?”
After a muffled sound, Jamie collapsed at my feet.
I struggled and roared, but my mouth was forcibly filled with something.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
I heard Jamie being dragged away, and the wooden door locking.
I crawled towards the direction of the door, disregarding the splinters piercing my palms.
They took Jamie away, leaving me confined in a small room.
I struggled against the ropes on my body, trying various methods.
The immense fear and worry, along with the exhaustion from not resting properly these days, caused me to gradually drift into unconsciousness.
