Chapter 3 Got on his love pirate ship
The next day, Kevin came to pick me up.
As he opened the door, he had a tube of ointment in his hand.
I gratefully took it and thanked him, “Thank you so much. How much is it? I’ll transfer it to you.”
“No need, we are colleagues. You helped me a lot with that project last time. And I stopped by, so I don’t care.”
Considering the situation, I thought it wouldn’t be appropriate to give him money directly, so I decided to treat him to a meal next time.
I graciously accepted his kindness, he supported me as we went downstairs.
In the parking lot, we unexpectedly ran into Roan.
This time, I didn’t dare say anything. I sneakily glanced in his direction, and he was standing next to his car, seemingly waiting for someone.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
“Isn’t this the neighbor we met yesterday?” Kevin looked at him with confusion, then at me.
I was startled and quickly shook my head, “Just moved in, I don’t know him, don’t know…”
As I said that, Roan got into his car, slammed the door shut, and drove away.
I felt a bit disheartened; Roan had really changed from before.
If he used to be a little doggy, now he is a wolfhound.
Fierce and intimidating.
