Heartstrings on Fire (Agnes and Jared)

Chapter 768

Chapter 768

The first round was a written test, the second a face-to-face interview, with the rules of the third round

yet to be revealed.

Since Agnes had stepped down, the responsibility of the promotional video fell onto Yolanda.

With Yolanda now entirely engrossed in the script, she had no time left to plot against Agnes.

This gave Agnes ample time to prepare for the written test.

Nevertheless, everyone was disappointed that Agnes had given up on the promotional project for the

Tim Group. After all, the budget that the Tim Group had set aside for this was enough to make

anyone's mouth water.

Everyone suspected that the director purposefully snatched this opportunity to give Agnes a hard time.

However, Agnes was unfazed. After all, she finally had a moment of peace.

But gradually, Agnes noticed that within a few days, Yolanda started causing trouble again.

She would randomly summon Agnes into her office for a lecture.

Ramona secretly told Agnes, "Agnes, you wouldn't know this, but the director's script has been rejected

by the Tim Group over and over again. She's about to lose her mind."

Others whispered in agreement, "Doesn't the director know her own limitations? Did she get to where

she is now through talent?

Isn't she just relying on her family's influence? Agnes, when your proposal was on the table, it was

simply perfect. The director's ideas can't even compare. Based on ability alone, you should be the one

in her position."

Agnes laughed it off, "Don't flatter me, I didn't even write that script."

But the flattery continued.

"Agnes, you've been bullied so badly by the director that you're afraid to show even a hint of your

talent. Ah, it can't be helped, it's always been this way. Too much limelight can be deadly."

"Agnes, you can count on us, we'll always be on your side."

Agnes gave a bitter smile. As if no matter how she explained, no one would believe her. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Yolanda, who had been standing behind the crowd, said, "Have you all finished your own tasks?"

Everyone scattered at the sight of Yolanda.

Yolanda glared at Agnes, her eyes filled with rage, "Agnes, so this is how you tarnish my reputation in

the company. These are your despicable tactics. You've been plotting to overthrow me and take my

position, haven't you? You should weigh your own worth. Are you even fit for this position?"

Yolanda was trying to humiliate her, but Agnes didn't get angry.

She replied, "Of course, I'm not fit."

Agnes' nonchalant demeanor was incredibly frustrating. Yolanda wanted to pick a fight, but it felt like

punching cotton, because Agnes simply ignored her.

How could that make anyone feel good?

Of course, Yolanda didn't want to burn all bridges just yet, at least Agnes was still of some use.

Yolanda said, "The promotional script you wrote for the Tim Group last time, prepare a copy and bring it

to my office."

Yolanda's script had been consistently rejected by the Tim Group.

In truth, she knew that Agnes' script was near perfect.

She wanted to use it as a reference, after all, they were all working towards the same goal of

enhancing the station's reputation.

As a member of the station, Agnes should have been willing to contribute.

Yolanda still put on airs, maintaining her upper hand, and was about to leave after speaking.

However, Agnes suddenly said, "Director, I've already thrown that script away."

Yolanda turned around, "What?"

"Director, you said my script was at an intern level, so I threw it away."
