Heartstrings on Fire (Agnes and Jared)

Chapter 776

Chapter 776

Agnes watched Mrs. Fabian's tears flow, heartbroken.

Rumors had it that these two old folks were trying to con the government for compensation. They were

rude and aggressive to everyone, the very image of villains. But sometimes, the truth is not what it

seems.

Seeing is believing.

Beneath the villainous exterior, lay a heart of gold - a kindness that surpassed most people's

comprehension.

Agnes switched off her recorder, then she said, "Mr. and Mrs. Fabian, I can help you with this."

Mr. Fabian sighed and cleaned his tears. They were truly at their wit's end.

At this moment, Jared approached.

Jared said, "Don't worry, I'll find every stray dog you've taken in a suitable home. As for the elderly

ones that no one wants to adopt, I'll arrange for them to be taken to a shelter where they can live out

their golden years. However, the government is currently redeveloping this area. Your houses are old

and dangerous, at risk of collapsing at any moment. If you insist on staying here in such extreme

conditions, you and these strays will be the ones who get hurt. So, I hope that once everything is

settled, you can leave in peace."

Mr. Fabian replied, "As long as these animals are well taken care of and have a home, we have nothing

to worry about."

On the way home, Agnes was lost in thought.

She was extremely grateful to Jared, and she asked, "How did you know the Fabians didn't want to

move because of the stray animals?"

Jared replied, "The government will soon put this land up for public bidding, and the Tim Group will be

participating. I've been busy with this matter these days. Leo did some investigation, and I seem to

remember him mentioning something about it."

Agnes said, "So the Tim Group wants this land."

"This is prime real estate in the city, not just the Tim Group. Many developers are eyeing it, but it may

not necessarily end up in the hands of the Tim Group." ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Agnes didn't understand much about business. She said, "But I'm glad you came today, otherwise I

wouldn't know how to break through. I'll report the whole truth tonight. I'm sure there will be people

willing to adopt these animals."

Jared said, "The Tim Group will fund a systematic check-up for these animals, vaccinate and

spay/neuter them to ensure their health, and publicly select their owners. Any willing adopters will

receive a reward from the Tim Group, who also reserves the right to visit at any time."

Agnes said, "These animals are lucky then. This way, they'll be able to find a home soon."

Jared replied, "They're all blessed because of you."

Agnes laughed, "You're doing a good deed and you're giving me the credit."
