"Oh, that we won the race and it was awesome," I said as I watched her lit up causing me to giggle, "Really, what happened after?" She asked as I smiled before continuing, "Well-
"What were you doing with him?"

(Ashely POV)
I pinned around to face a furious Jake, who stood there with his hands tucked in his pockets, and no too far behind was Tatiana, who gave me a bitchy look, "What's it to you?" I asked crossing my arms across my chest as Jake clenched his jaw, annoyed with my attitude, "Look, I'm not in the mood for your bullshit, what the hell were you doing with him?" He asked gritting through his teeth as I shrugged, "He was being a gentleman and took me out," I said as he scoffed, "Took you out, are you stupid Ashely, you don't even know him," he gritted through his teeth as his fists clenched at his sides.
"Why do you care, Jake, weren't we the same individuals who hated each other?" I asked as my eyebrows furrowed with my arms spread apart trying to prove a point, "The only reason why I can't tolerate your ass is that you're related to the bitch that ruined my family, " he spat as I stepped back, startled by his words. Anna's gasped was heard behind me before everything went silent.
"My mother didn't know your father was an unfaithful bastard and if she did, she would never have married him," I said in a low tone breaking the silence before he scoffed, "Please, your dead father literally gave your mother a free ticket to being a-
"SHUT UP! TAKE IT BACK!" I yelled as tears welled up in my eyes, "YOU KNOW NOTHING, DON'T BLAME YOUR PROBLEMS ON MY DAD," I continued to yell as my tears slide down my cheeks and
my breathing become uneven, "Hey, Ash, calm down," Anna said trying her best to calm me down but I just shook her off.
"This is all your father's fault, nobody told him to be greedy and step out of his marriage, and because of him, my mom felt the need to replace my dad, so next time learn the truth to both sides before accusing people and blaming other for you and your family's problems," I said before walking away leaving them behind as Anna yelled after me.

"He, Ashely, wait, where are you going?" Anna asked as she ran after me while I stomped my way home, "I'm going home, Anna, leave me alone," I said as I continued to walk but was suddenly pulled back by the arm, "Ashely, I'm sorry, I feel like this is my fault since I forced you to come down to the racing grounds with me," she said as I sighed, "This isn't your fault okay, you were just looking out for me, I just want to go home," I said as she nodded before pulling me into a tight hug, "Don't listen to him, he's just being an asshole, I can see why don't like him," she said as I chuckled before pulling away, "Thanks Anna, I'll see you tomorrow," I said as she gave me a weak smile before nodding.

I finally reached home after walking all the way from Anna's house. Jake's car came into sight as I got closer to the house and there he was leaned up against the car while smoking a cigarette. I took a deep breath in before walking past him as if he never existed.
I successfully made it inside the house and up to my room without being heard as I sighed in relief. I plopped down on my bed as I lazily cuddled my pillow. "What a long morning," I mumbled slowly drifting off to sleep before my phone went off, "Ugh! Who's texting me this hour?" I questioned in an annoyed tone as I reached for my phone.
I'll pick you up at 3 ;)
I smiled at the text before drifting off to dreamland with a slight grin on my face.

(Jake's POV)
I laid shirtless in my bed as I stared emotionlessly at the ceiling. Memories of how I actually ended up here came flooding in as I continued to gaze off.
Flashback...
I finally came back from having a long scroll as I couldn't stay in that house much longer. I really needed to think and get some fresh air. When I arrived back, I saw my mom in the driveway, loading some luggage in the trunk of an unfamiliar car as I furrowed.
"Ma, what's going on?" I asked as she stopped to face me, "I'm leaving Jake, but just for a few months," she replied as I stared at her usual state of appearance.
Exhausted, messy hair, untidy clothes, red eyes. I was currently standing in front of my alcoholic, and drug addict mother.. I guessed when that asshole abandoned us, he broke something in my mom in the process.
"Leaving? Where are you going?" I asked as she sighed before loading the last bag, "Rehab," she replied leaving me stunned because we have had arguments over her going but she refused because she'd stubborn, "Really? But what about me, what am I going to do?" I asked, "You're going to stay with your father, Ja-
"Naw, f**k that, I'm not too stay with that asshole," I hissed as I starting to get pissed," Look, Jake, I know you'll never look at your father the same after what he's done, but I'll only be in rehab for a few
months, so you'll have to put up with him until I return, please," she pleaded as I sighed before pulling her into my embrace, "Fine! But I'm only doing this for you," I said as I embraced her tightly. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
"I'm trying to be good, for you, for me, for us," she said, "I know," I said as she pulled away, "I love you, Jake, always remember that," she said as I gave her a weak smile, "Love you too, ma,"
End of flashback...
I ran my hands down my face as I thought about my mom, I miss her. I remembered the emotions I felt when I pulled up in front of his house. I remembered the feelings I felt when I saw him, with them, his new family.
Anger. Pain. Sadness.
That's all I felt as I began staying here. But I guess I wasn't the only person that felt the same way.
Looks like I'm sharing the same boat with another individual.
