Zane’s POV
I returned to my office, only to still meet Rita there.
“Rita, I’m worried about this company. My business is not going smoothly, the clients are demanding a lot more; I am drained.” I thought a flimsy excuse would help.
“And that’s why you ignored your fiancee” She retorted.
“I… I didn’t mean it that way”
She rolled my eyes and crossed her hands.
“Rita, I want you to understand that whatever action I’ve taken will favor both of us” I said.
“You did something wrong, you have to admit properly, just apologize and I’ll let it go” Rita said innocently.
“I’m sorry” I paused; “I’m very sorry for my offenses in the nearest future too” I returned to my seat.
“What do you mean? Why are you like this? Like you plan to offend me in future” She seemed worried.
“You won’t understand,” I mumbled.
“But then, you want me to believe and understand that whatever actions you are taking are for us?” She tried to process that line.
“Yeah and I need some space Rita”
“Hmmn, well, sorry, I can’t give you that space because I have just considered moving in with you, hmmn let’s say today” She announced.
“No”
“Why not? You always wanted me to move in with you”
“My brother is at my place. So you can’t come ” I quickly said, trying as much not to sound rude.
“Okay, I respect that. My regards to Alexander” She replied, ” I didn’t say anything. “Alright, maybe I’ll just give you the space you requested for; we’ve been through this non talking terms before and I understand.” With that, she left.
Even before she had completely step out of the office, I had bursted into tears. For the first time in my life, I left like I was falling into the ground and the earth was closed up on me.
I was lost in thought, even when I wiped off the tears on the outside, I wailed profusely within. I couldn’t work nor focus. I got on my feet, took my briefcase and left the office.

I walked into my house, only to meet Madison and Alex at the dining table, looking like they were having what seems like a date.
“Welcome sir, I… I didn’t know you’ll be back so early” Madison flared upand panicked when she sighted me.
I didn’t respond, I headed straight to my room.

“Can you just let me be alone please?” I fired.
Alex headed to the door like he actually wanted to leave until he remembered something and turned back to me. “Is it Charles’ issue, did you fire him already?”
“Shit Alex! Don’t you understand ‘just let me be’?”
“A problem shared is half solved, the other day; you told me about Charles pretending to be you after he hacked through your account and I tried to help you, didn’t I?”

“Nevermind. I don’t need that. In one way or the other, I saw his log in details and password but it still gonna take me few days”
“Few days? stupid me already told him to be with Rita. Can’t you just wipe it off today? Like right now?!!”
“Sorry no, but I’ll promise you I’ll do it. I will abandon my own project, I was working on launching Love Station before the end of the month but I’ll put all that aside to hack into Kikachat for you” Alex said.
Even though, I felt like hugging him because this mea
nt a whole lot to me yet all I said was; “Get into it already”
