Rita’s POV I expected a call or text from Zane because I left him hanging the previous night after telling him that I was so horny but he didn’t reach out to me. Instead of feeling remorseful that I have cheated on Zane, I felt excited and eager to end things with him and probably apologize for leaving him.

I picked up my phone and dailed his number. Unfortunately, it was unreachable.

I clicked on Kikachat app only to find out that Zane has closed down his account and profile.

What?

I was shocked.

I couldn’t contact him, I couldn’t send him a message, I couldn’t reach him.

This reminds me of how Jared and I relationship came to an abrupt end. Although, I was about to break up with Zane but definitely not this way, we could still be casual friends afterall Zane played a big role in my life.

Let’s just conclude that something went wrong with him for now and he’ll be back on Kikachat in the mean time.

“I hope you’re not mad that I’m just reaching out to you? I was with my mom but believe me, I was thinking about you all day” Finn said.

A rush of warmth spread through me, and I couldn’t help but blush like he could see me.

“How is your mom?” Been a while I saw Mrs Blakston.

“My mom is doing very fine” He answered and continued:” How do you feel? Any better? Are you …still in pains?” He asked, his voice grew softer, filled with tenderness.

“Uhm, not really ¿” I chuckled, a little embarrassed.

“Do you want me to come over? and wrap you in my arms and uhm..”

I interrupted him.

“Nope Finn, see you at work tomorrow” I said.

“What if I told you that right now, I am in front of your house?” He teased.

“You are silly Finn. Listen, I am not sure I can look straight into your eyes after what we’ve done. I’m.. ashmed” I mumbled awkwardly.

“I’m shameless” He remarked and I giggled.

“Jokes apart Finn, I feel like all eyes are on me” I complained.

“Chill Babe” He said. “Just chill okay? No one is watching you, no one knows” He assured.

“Hmmn”

“Damn! I can’t believe you’re an innocent newbie, pretending to be a baddie. Nice try” He stated, laughing.

“Wow I can see you know me too well. Well, that’s enough” I snapped.

“See you at work tomorrow or do you mind if I come pick you up?” He asked.

“Oh dear Finn, I don’t wanna make us obvious to everyone” I murmured.

“Sweetheart, I am not hiding this relationship” He said.

“Alright, alright. Let’s take a little while before making it obvious”

“As you wish, your highness. I’ll order my driver to come pick you up. Is that fine by you?”

“Sure honey”

“I love you so much. Be good okay?”

Even after we’ve ended the call, I kept smiling throughout the rest of the day. Finn is a physical boyfriend! Finn is all I asked for and more. I love Finn so much!

Finn’s POV

Today, I planned to be all sweet and lovey dovey with the love of my life throughout today but my mom ruined the plan before it even happened.

My mom dashed into my office unexpectedly, informed me that I had some visitors then we headed together into the meeting hall where I met this big man and his wife most likely and Vanessa. Vanessa? I comported myself, pretending I didn’t recognize her.

The man stood on his foot to shake hands with me.

“I’m Mr WillGate” He introduced himself.

“Oh, the CEO of C and O!”

“Yeah, Costume and Organics. It’s nice meeting you finally” The man said, having his seat while I sat at the centre of the long table.

The meeting began with a brief speech from Mr Will Gate, Vanessa’s father?!!

“I believe…” He paused.”Mrs Blakston, your mother has informed you about the reason why we are gathered here today” He said.

“I was the one who decided that we should meet today and I also cancelled this meeting. Didn’t you get my mail?” I furrowed my brows, folding my arms.

The woman by his side, his wife brought out the contract in a file from her bag and slid it over to me like I have no other choice than to sign immediately.

“I’m not gonna sign that” I shook my head in disagreement and push the form away.

Vanessa hissed, I shot her a hard gaze and she rolled her eyes and scoffed.

“I thought as much” Mr Will Gate groused. “Your company is Beauty and Cosmetic while ours is Costume and Organics which is why I think we could work well together”

“Of course, I would love to merge with your company because it will be of great profit and benefit to us both. Also, I have been informed about the criteria for us to become one. I can’t marry your daughter ” I went straight to the point without beating around the bush.

Vanessa kept on staring at me even when I avoided eye contact with her.

“Finn, I thought we talked about this” My mom whispered.

“Yeah but we didn’t conclude. I have just concluded” I said.

“Well, uhm..” Mr Will Gate picked up the contract and kept it inside his briefcase. “Today doesn’t necessarily have to be the signing day”

“You are right” His wife added.

“Let’s just get to introduce ourselves and know eachother better. We do not actually mind if the signing process takes weeks” He cleared his throat “Here’s my wife sitting next to me and Vanessa, my eldest daughter sitting next to her” He introduced.

“I feel in the mean time, you and Vanessa should get to know eachother very well. You might have a change of mind” Vanessa’s mom insisted.

“Hi Finn, I have heard so much about you and I’m so excited to meet you” Vanessa stood up, stretched her hand forward.

And I didn’t want to be rude in front of her parents so they won’t suspect that we already knew eachother.

I shook hands with her: “Nice meeting you Vanessa” I replied simply.

Our parents clapped dramatically.

“You look so cute and compatible together” My mom remarked. She has absolutely no idea that I’m not a single man.

“I know right” Vanessa blushed and winked at me.

“So uhm, we’ll leave now” Mr Will Gate and his wife got on their foot.

“I’ll wait behind, so I could catch up with Finn and get along with him” Vanessa suggested, meanwhile, she spoke to me voiclessly.

“I think that’s a great idea. We will back later with the contract for you both to sign” Her father added.

I shook my head as I motioned them to leave the meeting room first. They headed out, leaving Vanessa and I behind.

“Long time, no see Finn” As expected , Vanessa stroded over to where I sat

“Vanessa” I only uttered her name but she pulled me by my tie, making me stand face to face with her.

“So you work here, uhm”

I took her hands off me and adjusted my shirt and tie. “Yeah. This is one of my family companies” I told her.

“Woah great” she drew nearer to me “Now, business aside” She leaned forward and smiled. “Don’t you miss me?” She whispered.
