Thirty-Two
Lola looked towards the door as she tried to calm her frantically beating heart, enjoying the comforting weight of Bodach on her body. She could hear the other men banging on her door. Biting her lip, she couldn’t help wondering why they didn’t just come in. There was no lock in place keeping them out.
“I put an enchantment on it earlier.” Bodach panted as he kissed the tender skin of her neck.
Moving her legs from around him, Lola realized her head no longer pounded and her eyes didn’t hurt. She had so many questions, but she wasn’t sure where to start as Bodach reached above her. His hands making quick work of the cuffs.
Lola brought her hands down to rest them on his shoulders as his penis softened within her. Slipping from her body, he brushed her hair from her face. Admiring the way she looked, as long pale lashes fluttered closed over her now normal green eyes. Her hair was slowly returning to its normal purple color. He couldn’t help but wonder how she would look with it all pale and glossy as she rode him. Shaking his head, he tried to stomp down the beginnings of his desire for her.
“Do you, is every-” Bodach stammered out. He closed his eyes. He’d never felt as nervous as he did now. “Did you you enjoy yourself?”
“I’m umm, better.” Lola answered as he settled beside her. His red eyes intently watching her. She tucked herself against his chest. “Why, why didn’t it hurt you?”
“Laying with you?” Bodach asked as he bit his lower lip, quirking an eyebrow up at her.
“Yeah, sure lets call it that.” Lola said, fighting back a grin as she looked at Bodach.
“You and I, our breed of fae is more suitable to each other. Korrigans and I have a lot in common, you could say.” He said, coiling a lock of her hair around his finger before giving it a slight tug to pull her closer. His lips moved against hers and she felt relieved she didn’t feel the same as she had before. “The first time is always the hardest feed, with time you’ll be able to control it.”
“Control what?”
“Your body’s natural urge to lure men to their deaths.” His lips pressed against the corner of her mouth and she had to fight down a hysterical giggle that tried to bubble past her lips. His tone was so casual, like they were discussing the weather.
Not the fact that her body wanted to kill him, not just him. It had tried to kill Merrow earlier.
“We should open up the door, I’m sure the others are worried.” She didn’t want to tell him that the thought terrified her. That she could hurt any of the men who were worming their way into her heart.
Bodach placed his lips against Lola’s in a kiss that was almost chaste, and she felt her heart clench in her chest. It wasn’t just the others that she was beginning to love, but him as well, “Aye, just know that I’m far from done with you.”
He watched as the blush spread over her cheeks with a slight smile, before he moved to the edge of the bed. Tucking himself back into his trousers and moving to the dresser to grab Lola a pair of shorts. His fingers grazed hers as he handed them over, and he couldn’t help but feel the pinpricks of her magic coursing over his skin.
It had felt nice before, but now it felt incredible. He wanted to lay against her like a lizard with a heat rock. To bask in that feeling, to surround himself in her.
“Bodach, the door.” Lola said as she slipped on the shorts and brushed her fingers through her hair. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Looking towards the door, Bodach let out a sigh. He knew he’d have to deal with them sooner rather than later. At least he knew that she wouldn’t kill him. She hadn’t been his first korrigan, but she would be his last.
He traced his fingers over the thin wooden door. Watching the runes flare to life as he went. Lola stepped closer to him, “Thank you.”
“It is I who should be thanking you.” He said, tucking a lock of hair behind his ear as he glanced back towards Lola. She couldn’t help but smile as she saw the warm look in his eyes.
Looking down at the floor, she shifted from foot to foot as the door opened and Puca came into the room. He shoved Bodach down, and the other man fell backwards, sprawling out over the bed.
“Keep your trickery to yourself.” He growled before walking over to Lola, “Are you hurt?”
“Relax my friend, I wouldn’t hurt her.”
“Wasn’t talking to you, fraochÚn a fheileann dá dheartháir.” Puca growled, his golden eyes flashing over to the fae man before he stepped closer to Lola. “Are you okay?”
Lola nodded her head slowly as Puca brought his hands up to cup her cheeks.
“About what happened before-”
“I’m sorry.” Lola blurted out before he could say anything else. She buried her face against his chest, trying to hide her reddened cheeks.
“Lola,” Bodach said as he pushed up onto his elbows, Puca shot him a look that had him rolling his eyes.
“Go halainn cailín. Never feel the need to apologize for something that is beyond your control.” Puca wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head. He felt Lola relax against him. He glanced over at Bodach, giving him a slight nod.
He may not like what had happened, but he could understand what the other man had done. It hadn’t been just about keeping Lola safe. He had been protecting the others too.
Merrow and Lu both tried to come into the room at the same time. They turned to look at each other, Lu scowled at him.
“I think you already went first.” He said before moving into the room.
“Aye, but I won’t be last.” Merrow responded and Lola rolled her eyes as she pulled away from Puca.
“I meant what I said, it was beyond your control. Which we will help you work on.” Puca said his words were husky and Lola couldn’t help but shiver. “You should get some rest.”
“I should get a shower.” Lola said, wrinkling her nose.
“I could help,” Merrow smirked, moving closer to her.
The no was shouted by all the men in the room as Lola blushed and hid her face in her hands.
