Hey, My Twins Babies

Chapter 749 Misery Loves Company

Chapter 749 Misery Loves Company

Emily did not feel well and had no appetite to eat. Emily’s mother felt distressed about that, so she had

to make Emily eat some.

"Try to eat, I will cook some porridge."

"Go to bed and rest. I've changed the sheets for you. I'll find a trash can and put it next to your bed. If

you want to throw up, just lie on the bed."

Emily’s mother said while taking back her phone from Emily and then she walked to the door happily. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

Emily’s mother stopped at the door and looked back at Emily. She put away her smile and turned

serious.

"I will give you one day, and you have to tell Leo tomorrow."

Emily’s mother was giving orders, not reminders.

After Emily’s mother left, Emily rolled her eyes and then got into bed.

Lying on the bed, she wondered how she should tell Leo, but she had not made up her mind yet.

With her hands unconsciously on her stomach, she felt the breath from the child. Was this an extension

of her life? Was this little creature made of her flesh and blood?

Was it her love? Was it all she had?

C City.

Winnie asked Finn out at noon and wanted to give Finn an explanation about what happened last night.

A cafeteria.

Winnie and Finn went to get the food and the sat at the table.

"My classmate recommended this cafeteria to me. Please try it and see how it tastes."

Winnie was not familiar with C City and she could only take the advice from her classmates.

Finn seriously tasted it.

"Well, not bad. Your classmate has a good taste in food."

Finn said.

He could guess why Winnie called him out, but he did not mention the matter last night. After all, it was

not good for him to interfere with Winnie's private affairs.

"Yes, it is good."

Winnie tasted the food.

"By the way, Mr. Poole, when will you go back?"

Winnie asked about something unimportant.

"Tomorrow, I will leave tomorrow. But I have a meeting in A City."

Finn said casually. He worked all the time except at mealtimes, but he was full of energy and rose to

the occasion.

"It seems that the position of director is not suitable for everyone. I would cry if I was so busy and tired."

Winnie said jokingly, but it was true that the position as a director needed excellent ability and the spirit

of hard-working.

"Mr. Poole, I called you out is to explain to you about yesterday."

Winnie tried to change the topic, looking at Finn to make sure if he was willing to listen to her.

"Go ahead, I'm listening."

Finn gave Winnie an affirmative look.

Winnie took a deep breath and forced herself to smile.

“You know Brian, right? I have a complicated relationship with him. We're not married, we're not

boyfriend and girlfriend, but we have two kids. The kids are twins, six years old and are now with their

grandfather."

“It is not accurate to say that I have no relationship with Brian. I liked him and he seemed to like me.

But I did not meet the requirements of his family for marring to Brian, so I stayed with him as a

mistress.”

In this sentence, Winnie used a word "seem", because she was really not sure if Brian had loved her.

Winnie said the things between her and Brian. She just said it generally, because there was not too

much time for her put it all to Finn.

And, above all, he might have no patience to hear such a thing.

Winnie sighed, she felt depressed every time she mentioned these things. She had to take deep

breaths to relieve her breathless heart.

Winnie continued.

"Fortunately, we broke up after a misunderstanding. He didn't trust me and didn't give me a chance to

explain. As for me, I am a stubborn person with strong self-esteem. I didn't go after him to explain the

fact. So we parted, and now we have no relationship except that we are the father and mother of our

kids."

Winnie did not know what was in Brian’s mind. She was single at this moment and had nothing to do

with Brian.

“He came to me last night because he didn't want me to go to school here. He only just found out I'm

wearing a uniform, but he doesn't know I'm officially on the job yet."

"No one in my family knows that I am wearing this uniform but the police in the bureau. I didn't tell my

sister, my aunt or my two kids, let alone Brian."

"Last night..."

"You interrupted me last night because you are afraid that I tell him you are a policewoman, right?"

Winnie had made it clear, so Finn gave the conclusion.

"Yeah, I don't want anyone to know about it."

Winnie felt there was no point in letting others know, and it would only affect her work. If Brian knew it,

he would think why she did so.

She did not want to be suspected by Brian.

"Well, I'll watch my language. You are right you have another profession, it is better to keep it a secret."

"You are usually cheerful, I did not expect you are a girl with a story, but we both have kids and we're

both single."

Finn laughed, trying to ease the dull atmosphere and to cheer Winnie up.

"Yes, we are."

Winnie forced a smile. But she thanked Finn for listening and not laughing at her.

After lunch, Finn took Winnie back to school.

At the school gate, the two chatted before Finn left.

Winnie walked to the campus, and when she passed by the guard room, the guard on duty inside

called her.

"Are you Winnie Chambers?"

The guard asked with uncertainty. He had taken a look at Winnie's photo, so he was not sure if she was

the women in the photo.

"Yes, I am, why?"

Winnie stopped and chatted gently with the guard.

Then the guard came out, holding something in his hand.

"Here is the car key. A gentleman named Brian Bennet asked me to give it to you. He said the car is in

the parking lot outside the school."

The guard put it into the hands of Winnie, and then he was back to the guard room.

Winnie looked at the car key and did not know what to say at the moment.

He might remember that she could not take a taxi, he might be think it was inconvenient for her to go

out, and he might do it for the sake of the children.

But would she accept the car, if not, where should she send the car?

In the evening Winnie received Brian's message.

"Don't be burdened with the car. It's not a gift, but a temporary loan. I was busy at work and I flew back

without telling you. I hope you understand.”

“If you insist on studying in this university, I can understand you. But I want you to take care of yourself,

and I want you to be safe.”

“The kids and I are waiting for you."

Winnie felt more sad to see that.

She did not reply to the message, just as she did not see anything, and she did not want to guess his

intention.

Winnie put the phone away and was to focus on study, but her phone rang.

Winnie glanced at the phone and found it was Stefan. She signed. If she had known that Stefan would

like her, she would rather not know him.

Winnie picked up the phone.

"Winwin, where are you?"

Before Winnie opened her mouth, Stefan's eager voice was heard.

"I'm outside for study."

Winnie did not say where she was for she was really afraid that Stefan came to her. If so, there was no

substantive significance for her to go out.

"Go out? You are not in B City?"

Stefan continued to ask, and felt Winnie deliberately avoided him.

"No, I am not in B City. Why do you call?"

Winnie asked directly, if there was no reason, she would hang up the phone.

She felt the burden that Stefan loved her. She didn't want to lose this friend, but she couldn't get too

close to him. It was hard to keep distance and she even wanted to break off friendship with Stefan.

She was not heartless, but really afraid that Stefan would get hurt and encounter unnecessary trouble.

"Nothing, I went to your home but you were not there and your company said you asked for leave. I am

worried. Winwin, are you hiding from me? Am I bothering you?"

Stefan asked, or Winnie would tell him where she was.

But if Winnie gave a positive answer, he would feel sad.

"Yes, it is part of the reason. Whether it is life or work, I feel messy and tired, I need to adjust my mood,

so I came out."

Winnie said directly. It was a fact that Stefan bothered her and she did not want to give hope to Stefan,

so she was straightforward.

"I'm sorry I didn't think it through enough to put myself in your place. Now that you have gone away, I

hope you will come back afresh and I hope you will think of me in a different way."

Stefan said with depression. Winnie's affirmative answer made him seriously frustrated.

"If you ask me to think of you, I shall postpone my return indefinitely. Stefan, we are really not suitable,

and I never like you. You know, it is impossible to be together if we don't like each other. Why do you

persist to me?”
