His Eagle Eyes on Me

"If the baby is Robert's, it's not that big a deal." Elliot rubbed his nose to conceal the joy on his face. "It's good that we are great parents." Avery blushed at the thought of having grandchildren and being a grandmother.

She felt conflicted as she had always thought of herself as being quite young whenever she looked in the mirror.

Though she did wish that Hayden would get married, she had never imagined being a grandmother at her age.

"Don't blame Robert when he comes home." Elliot was overjoyed and did not see this turn of events as a negative one.

"Are you that desperate to be a grandfather?" Avery glared at him.

Elliot blushed and said, "Don't you want to have grandkids? Will you hate the baby if you find out that he really is Robert's child?"

Avery fell silent as she had never thought of Robert being a father.

From her perspective, Robert was still a child himself, but she could not argue that she would love the baby if he was Robert's child.

Layla tried calling Robert a few times, but he did not answer any of her calls as he was in class.

He saw the incoming call and hung up before sending her a message. [Sis, I'm in class right now! What is it?]

[Is the baby yours?] Layla typed.

[Huh?! What are you talking about?! Do you even know what you are saying? Ah!!!]

[Stop being so dramatic! Come home as soon as your classes are over! Dad swears up and down that the baby isn't his, but the baby looks like him so you are the only one who can be the father!]

Robert felt like the world was

spinning, and he immediately grabbed his bag to leave. "Sir, something has happened at home so I need to hurry back!" he explained to the lecturer and

sprinted out of the classroom before immediately calling Layla,

"I thought you said you were in class? Has it ended?" Layla asked.

"No, I left early. What were you saying in the messages? Layla, I'm still a kid myself so why would you say that I've fathered a child? Have the DNA results been released?" Robert's face was flushed.

"The results aren't out yet, but we

suspect that the baby is yours," Layla said. "Dad wouldn't betray Mom, I've thought about it, and there's no way that he would do this so the baby is likely yours!"

"But... that's not possible! Layla, do I look like the kind of person who would sleep around? I don't even have a girlfriend. How could I have a child?"

"Hayden doesn't have a girlfriend either, but he also doesn't have any women around him! You, on the other hand, are friends with lots of pretty girls and go to parties with them all the time!"

"I don't! Ever since Ivy came home to

us, I've stopped going to parties to stay with her." Robert felt wrongfully accused, and, trying to prove his innocence, said, "Why don't I get a paternity test done with the baby as well?" .

"Sure! Come home and get the test done, then," Layla said without hesitation.

"Okay." As soon as he said it, Robert scowled and realized that something was wrong. "Layla, I'm still a virgin! I haven't even touched a woman before, so how can I impregnate one?!" Robert said. "Are you sure?!" Layla was stunned.
