His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2960

Satisfied, Avery said, "Be nicer to Shelly."

"I'm nice to her all the time, Mom," Hayden said. "I know that you want us to date, but you can't force this sort of thing."

"I'm not forcing anything. I'm just asking that you treat her better. No matter what, she is Aiden's mom!" Avery reasoned with him. "She comes from poverty, so we should help her where we can." Hayden nodded and agreed, "Which is why I think you are doing great whenever you offer to help her. With you to look after her, I have nothing to worry about."

Avery fell silent.

"I'm done, Mom." Hayden finished his milk and prepared to head out for work.

"Are you eating properly for lunch? I can always get the driver to deliver lunch to you." Avery was worried that he was not eating properly. Home-cooked meals would always be more nutritious than food outside.

"It's fine, Mom. I might not be in the office in the afternoon." Hayden wiped his lips with a tissue and headed out.

In Courtney's Cafe, Shelly received a text from Avery saying that Hayden would be delivering the contract later that day, and she could tell that Avery was trying to create an opportunity for them to meet. "Shelly, you are awesome!" Courtney arrived at the cafe early in the morning because Shelly called to inform her about the contracts she had received from Avery.

She was so excited that she could not get a moment of sleep.

Back when she asked her parents to invest in the cafe, they had not had high hopes but had given in under Courtney's relentless begging.

Courtney had told her parents that if the cafe failed, she would agree to whatever marriage they arrange for her; however, if the cafe succeeded, her parents were to never interfere with her love life again.

Her parents, who were certain that she would fail, agreed to the bet. Hence, Courtney did not lose sleep over how much she was going to make, but over the excitement of being free to choose her own husband.

Naturally, she was happy that she no longer needed to ask her parents for money as well.

"Why are you here this early?" Shelly was in a great mood as well and gave her a big hug.

"I couldn't sleep! I stayed up all night after what you told me last night! As soon as we hung up, I ran to my parent's room to tell them about this. Do you know how impressed they are? They have never looked at me with such admiration in their eyes before."

Shelly chuckled. "Even with those three orders, our profits can rival that of your dad's company."

"It's not about money... but about the

fact that these orders come from the Fosters! That means that we are connected to the Fosters somehow, and ever if it's just a business partnership, that's enough for parents to brag about," Courtney chirped. "Shelly, this is all thanks to you! If it wasn't for you, I would have married a man I didn't like by now! I'm so lucky!"

"We are both lucky," Shelly said. "We need to work even harder from now on and make our brand bigger."

"Yeah!"

The two started discussing hiring new workers, and by the time Hayden arrived, the cafe had survived its peak hour.

The staff immediately focused on Hayden as soon as he stepped into the cafe.

His tall frame, exquisite taste in clothing, and handsome features made him someone that others could not take their eyes off of.

He walked over to the counter and asked, "Is Shelly here?

The receptionist nodded and shouted, "Ms. Taylor! There's a hot guy out here looking for you!"Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

Shelly heard the shouting and hurried out of her office.

She was posting an advertisement to recruit more staff. She and Courtney had agreed to hire a few more pastry chefs. They were willing to offer them higher pay and even a share of the company if necessary.
