Shelly had not contacted Hayden during the day, nor had Hayden contacted her to inform her when he would return.

"Let me call him and ask," she said, and the two nannies immediately hurried over to take the twins away.

Shelly took out her phone and called Hayden.

"When will you be back for dinner?" she asked.

"Aren't we waiting for Robert and Ivy to get home?" Shelly asked.

After dinner, Shelly gave both children a bath and dressed them in their night clothes.

The nannies prepared two bottles of milk and handed them to the two little ones.

"Shelly, let me put Audrey to bed tonight," one of the nannies suggested with a smile. "That way, you can rest."

Shelly knew that the nannies were paid higher if they took care of the babies at night as well as day, but all domestic helpers were willing to do it. "Did you talk to Aunty Avery about it?" Shelly asked.

"Yes. We discussed it during the day. You and Hayden are about to get married, and it might be difficult to take care of the children during your honeymoon," the nanny explained subtly.

Shelly fell silent.
