His eyes narrowed in on her as he saw the way she looked left and right as if she didn’t want anyone to hear what she was saying to whoever it was she was talking to on the phone.
“I’ll send you Sophia’s photograph right away. You have to understand that I can’t meet up with you else Luciano suspect that I’m not around,”
Panic shot through Luciano’s core as he heard Saige’s words. Who was she talking to and why did she have to send Sophia’s photograph to the person?
“Look-,” Her voice got his attention again. “I’ll pay you double the money. All you have to do is make sure that Sophia is dead. She’s-,” She massaged her temple. “She’s the only reason my husband doesn’t want me and I can’t take the chances again. I don’t even want to think of what will happen in the future if I don’t take care of that problem now,” She smiled. “Sophia is out with Valerie. They’re at McDonald’s right now. I just spoke to Valerie. No matter what, nothing must happen to Valerie. Sophia shouldn’t come home alive else you’ll be the dead one,”
Luciano quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket and rushed out of the balcony, trying to call Valerie.
“Dannazione Val,” He muttered as she didn’t pick up the call. “Rispondi a quella cazzo di chiamata,”
{“Dammit Val”} {“Pick up the fucking call,”}
He tried Alessandro too, knowing that as Sophia’s bodyguard, he would be with them but he encountered a similar problem. After countless times of trying to get to him, Alessandro finally picked.
He breathed out in relief. “Alesandro- ” Before he could say anything else, the call got disconnected.
Angrily, he slammed the phone against the wall when he realized his phone had automatically shut down due to low battery.
Lucas wasn’t home either. He had gone out for some work and wouldn’t even be able to pick up any calls.
Luciano frustrated ran his hands through his hair. He needed to do something. He needed to save his little sister.
He had to save her from the clutches of death.
He rushed downstairs and motioned to one of the guards. “Non lasciare che quella cazzo di Donna lasci il complesso, qualunque cosa accada. Trova un modo per sequestrarle il telefono e impedirle di fare qualsiasi chiamata. Se tenta qualcosa di intelligente, sequestrala,”
{“Don’t let the Donna fucking leave the compound no matter what. Find a way to seize her phone and stop her from making any calls. If she tries to do anything smart, seize her,”}
“Ma consigliere, lei e la-”
{“But consigliere, she’s the-“}
Luciano cut him off by angrily grabbing his collar. “Fai quello che ti ho detto altrimenti perderai la vita. Cazzo, prendi subito Donna. Sta progettando di uccidere un membro di questa famiglia,” He let go off the guards’ collar.
{“Do as I fucking say else you’re going to lose your life. Fucking seize the Donna right away. She’s planning to murder a member of this family”}
He wasn’t doing as he was told because his life was threatened. He was doing as told because the life of a member of the family was in danger. “Sure,” The man rushed out, barking orders to his colleagues.
Luciano immediately left the compound with some of their men and headed for McDonald’s.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

He was ignoring her. It was obvious Chase was ignoring her since the night she shoved him away and told him not to touch her. Even while ignoring her, he couldn’t take her off his mind. He couldn’t stop thinking about the tears of pain she had in her eyes every time he shunned her love away.
He couldn’t bear to see her in pain.
That was the main reason why he had announced their marriage in the dining room that morning regardless of the fact that it was going to jeopardize his plans to destroy the Romano empire. He knew she always wanted him to publicize their wedding, but telling that to his cousins was the first step, right?
It didn’t matter what step was. Something he knew was that if De Luca got a whiff of the truth about his marriage with Sophia, he was likely to back off from their arrangement. If De Luca backed out, Chase would be taking steps backwards in his plan.
But then, he wasn’t a fool. He had his plan B.
Chase breathed out a sigh and stared at the small cottage he had parked his car beside. The cottage was located in the bushes, looking empty and haunted, how no one, if not told by him, would ever suspect there was something in it.
A human being living in it.
Chase grabbed the bag on the passenger seat and pulled out his key from the ignition. He walked out of the car, locked it and made his way into the old building.
He inserted a key into the keyhole and unlocked the door, then pushed it open. When he was inside, he locked it back and made his way further into the cottage with the bag in his hand, the sound of his shoes on the wooden floor resonating through the air.
He stopped in front of a door and unlocked it as well before entering inside the room. His eyes fell on the figure seated on old wooden armchair facing the small window.
“Pops,”
