Chapter 368
Chapter 368
The bustling Lostaria was a coastal city, so the lights at night were even more dazzling and beautiful.
It was also at times like these that Elijah hated being alone. He wanted to visit the bar to pick up the ladies, especially the blue-eyed blonds he found so irresistibly attractive.
Elijah invited Lesley along, but unfortunately, the latter had taken the Heaven Pill and wanted to concentrate on his cultivation. No matter how much Elijah tried to change his mind, Lesley refused to budge.
Just then, Jonathan stood up and offered to accompany the man. I have nothing important to do anyway, so I might as well take this chance to have fun. Whatever's going to happen will happen. There's no use worrying about it or trying to avoid it. Instead, I should change my state of mind and accept every moment for what it is! Look at those big-shot Divine Masters like Demon Emperor and Divine Emperor... They didn't even flinch in the face of the demonic tribulation, so is there a reason for me to fear Ignatius? No!
With that, Jonathan and Elijah drove off in the latter's Mercedes-Benz.
From the choice of the car alone, it was clear that Elijah wasn't afraid to max out the stipulated budget set by Divine Realm.
Before long, the car was speeding down the roads of Mount Frallein, with Elijah flooring the gas pedal the entire way.
Despite that, the man couldn't get rid of a nagging thought and eventually blurted out, “Jonathan, would Catherine kill me if she found out I brought you to the bar to meet girls?”
“Of course!” Jonathan said with absolute certainty.
Needless to say, Elijah instantly grimaced. “In that case, why don't you stick to the drinks and leave the flirting to me?”
“Haha. You b*stard... That's quite a deal you got, huh? Do you seriously expect me to sit and watch?”
Elijah chuckled in response. “You have to spare a thought for Catherine!”
“No way!” Jonathan retorted as he glared at the man. “I want to show you how to pick up girls like a pro. If Catherine finds out what we've done, I'll say you forced me into it.”
Upon hearing that, Elijah began to whimper and whine, “Fine. Guess I'd better not go, then.”
Just like that, the two men joked around and laughed their way to their destination.
Lostaria's most famous bar was none other than Melody Bar, which was also affectionately known as Red Dust by foreigners.
It was a high-end bar with the prettiest bargirls in town, and tourists who wanted to experience the best nightlife in Lostaria would undoubtedly make it one of their pit stops.
Naturally, Jonathan and Elijah were no exception.
Even at the entrance, they could already hear the heavy metal music blasting away.
Jonathan could feel his stress melting away as soon as he stepped in, and he knew right then that Melody Bar was indeed the best place for anyone to relax and unwind.
The bar was huge, and its dance floor could easily accommodate a thousand people. There were even professional dance performances set to dazzle one's senses.
Nobody could deny that Melody Bar was just like a free country. It was a place where race and nationality didn't matter, and as long as there was a mutual attraction between the parties, a night of passion would soon follow.
Therefore, anyone who visited Melody Bar would surely fall in love with it!
Of course, the bar was far from appropriate for couples, but thankfully, Jonathan and Elijah were nothing more than friends.
Interestingly, before the men entered the bar, Elijah had promised that they'd only drink and not flirt with girls. Once they stepped inside, however, he instantly broke his promise and began chatting up the beauties after getting a drink.
Jonathan stopped in his tracks and took a deep breath. The air in the bar might be murky, but it was also highly intoxicating.
The next second, he ordered vodka with lemon ice cubes and downed three shots in one go.
With that, he immediately felt his body getting lighter.
Anyone who drank would know that that was the most enjoyable sensation they could get from alcohol.
Soon, Jonathan began weaving through the crowds with a drink in his hand, occasionally reaching out a hand to squeeze a woman's bottoms or to fondle their breasts.
In all honesty, he didn't even see what they looked like.
One of the ladies initially turned around in anger, but as soon as she saw Jonathan, she curled her lips into a smile. “Oh, stop it!”
Jonathan was, without a doubt, a good-looking man. Not only was his father, Tristan, exceptionally handsome, but his mother was also a gorgeous woman. With such good genes from both parents, how could he not be blessed in the looks department?
Furthermore, Jonathan had gone through all kinds of dangers, and his worldliness made him seem even more alluring and irresistible.
It was hardly surprising that the lady wanted to take things further with Jonathan, but to her dismay, the latter had already disappeared into the crowd.
Within seconds, Jonathan had wandered to the middle of the dance floor, though the drink in his hand was long gone.
He danced his heart out for the next few minutes, fully relaxing and savoring the moment.
He had always loved frequenting bars and dancing, and now that he was re-experiencing his favorite pastime, it was a different sense of thrill altogether.
It wasn't long before Jonathan found himself dancing with a beautiful blond. The woman slipped her hand down his pants and began groping around, prompting an excited Jonathan to do the same to her.
There was so much lust and passion that the pair would've gone all the way if it weren't for the environment.
After a while, the seductive blond leaned into Jonathan's ear and whispered, “Hey, handsome, let's head to the restroom.”
Jonathan instantly nodded. Wow, this girl sure is thirsty for sex! “Sure. I'll go after you.”
With that, the blond kissed him and sashayed toward the nearest restroom.
Unbeknownst to her, Jonathan had turned and left.
I'm here to relax, not indulge in carnal desires. The old me would've gladly accepted her offer, but now, I can't bring myself to do it...
Despite that, Jonathan couldn't douse the fires of desire burning inside him. Knowing he'd lose control if he stayed on any longer, he walked out of Melody Bar without hesitation.
Once outside, he shook his head to clear his mind and instantly felt a lot soberer.
Just as Jonathan was about to head to Elijah's car for a nap, he saw the vehicle shaking violently.
Loud moans of pleasure rang out constantly, and Jonathan soon saw a gorgeous blue-eyed blond
sitting topless on Elijah's lap.
Oh, d*mn... That woman sure is sexy! Elijah's one lucky b*stard!
The next second, Jonathan slunk off into a corner and waited quietly. As a friend, I can't possibly ruin Elijah's time, can I? Argh. I do envy how he's so decisive and carefree, though. Those days are getting farther away from me now...
As Jonathan sat on a flight of steps nearby, he realized many other luxury cars were also packed with action like Elijah's.
Not only was it not an uncommon sight at Melody Bar, but it had also become one of the bar's selling points.
As such, many people frequented Melody Bar for that purpose, knowing there was a good chance they could have a most intimate and unforgettable night with one of the bargirls or patrons.
That aside, it was a beautiful night with the moon hanging high in the bright, starry sky.
The gentle night breeze carried the familiar smell of the sea, making the atmosphere feel even more tranquil and soothing.
Jonathan, however, felt like he was in hell. Having to wait for Elijah to finish the deed was torturous enough, but it was even worse when Jonathan could've been in that position too!
Thank goodness I have a high cultivation level and a strong mental focus. That's how I keep myself from straying...
As Jonathan continued his hellish wait, a flurry of footsteps suddenly sounded behind him.
Huh? Those footsteps are headed my way...
When Jonathan finally looked up, he saw a young man walking toward him with a beautiful woman hanging off his arm. Despite that, all Jonathan could hear was the young man's heavy steps echoing through his ears.
The young man was dressed in a white tuxedo as though he was on his way to a grand event. His eyes were blue, and his features were so well-defined that he looked like a piece of art.
Even Jonathan had to admit that the young man was immaculately beautiful.
On top of that, the latter carried himself with so much poise and grace that not even the likes of Skyler Yoder and Braxton Sable were comparable to him.
Interestingly, Jonathan had felt something peculiar from the second he locked eyes with the young man.
It was the familial bond between family members, a closeness that ordinary siblings might not even be able to sense.
Jonathan, however, could feel it in its entirety.
As it turned out, the young man was none other than Ignatius Cadman. He was Jonathan's younger brother and the apple of Tristan's eye, while Jonathan was nothing more than trash.
Countless thoughts flooded the latter's head as Ignatius approached him with the woman in tow.
Compared to Ignatius, who was standing tall and proud, Jonathan appeared rather wretched.
In an attempt to rub it in, Ignatius looped his arm around the woman's waist and looked down at Jonathan condescendingly.
The latter promptly stood up and held Ignatius' gaze, his face devoid of expression.
“I've been dying to meet you after Father mentioned that I have an elder brother,” Ignatius said flatly.
Knowing there was no love to speak of between him and his brother, Jonathan replied, “Well, you've seen me now. Are you disappointed?”
Ignatius nodded solemnly. “I am.”
“Haha. How interesting!”
“This is far from interesting. Look at us... Your cultivation level is so much lower than mine. I can easily kill you with one finger.”
“But you can't do that, can you?” Jonathan answered. “You can only watch me grow stronger with each passing day. It's just like how Asura Emperor had to witness the Emperor of Chanaea's progress back in the day.”
Upon hearing that, Ignatius chuckled. “Alas, you're not the Emperor of Chanaea, and I'm not Asura
Emperor.” All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
“Why have you stalked me here this late at night, anyway? Are you trying to brag about your achievements?”
“I thought I had met a worthy opponent, but you turned out to be such a disappointment,” Ignatius muttered, sighing as he did. “You're my father's son, and even though neither of us wants to acknowledge you, you can't change the fact that we share the same bloodline. Then again, after knowing what your grandmother and mother are like, I can't help but despise you. Tell you what. If you have the guts to find a woman here to fool around with, I might change my impression about you.”
“Ah, but don't forget that your opinions don't matter to me. I don't care if you despise me or not.”
Despite being slightly taken aback, Ignatius quickly recomposed himself. “I swear you'll care about that sooner or later!”
The next second, the man turned around and left with the woman, leaving Jonathan to stare blankly into space.
Needless to say, Ignatius' appearance had stung him to the quick. They were both Tristan's sons, yet their lives were wildly different.
Ignatius was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and his cultivation level had already surpassed all the masters in Divine Realm.
Jonathan, however, was still struggling with it.
Frustrated, he took a deep breath and shook off the negative feelings.
My determination is stronger than ever. I won't be affected by Ignatius' words, nor will I find a woman to spend the night with. I don't need to prove anything to him!
Half an hour later, a disheveled Elijah finally exited the car with his equally unkempt blond date.
As soon as he saw Jonathan, he couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. “Sorry to keep you waiting, Jonathan.”
To his surprise, Jonathan didn't seem to mind and merely smiled in response.
