Chapter 830: Will he find it as difficult to accept as you do?

Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked in a low voice, "What's so hard to accept? Who told you?"

Yanis said, "I told you last time that I have no relation to my mom. Today she told me who my biological

mother is."

Upon hearing Yanis's words, Bonnie's breath caught. "Who?"

Yanis spoke slowly, word by word, "Mrs. Baxter."

Bonnie abruptly stood up from the bed upon hearing Yanis's answer. "What did you say?"

Yanis remained calm and repeated her words, "Mrs. Baxter."

This time Bonnie heard it clearly, but she stood frozen in place for a while before finding her voice. "Is

she trying to deceive you?"

Yanis shook her head. "No need."

Bonnie didn't know what to say for a moment. They stood by the bed, staring at each other in silence.

Finally, Bonnie sat back down. "If Ivan finds out about this... you've liked him for so long, and now he'll

realize you're his biological sister. He's bound to be devastated."

Bonnie had originally planned to say that Ivan would definitely be devastated upon learning that the

person he had liked for so long was his biological sister.

But when the words reached her lips, Bonnie changed her tone. "Will he find it as difficult to accept as

you do?"

Yanis shook her head. "I don't know."

Bonnie took a deep breath. "I think Ivan must already know about this. Otherwise, why would he

suddenly come back from M Country? And he hasn't visited you or called you since he left this

morning. I'm sure he knows, because if he didn't, based on his personality, he would definitely come to

the hospital to see you."

Yanis agreed with Bonnie's analysis.

After all, they had known Ivan for so long, and both Yanis and Bonnie understood what kind of person

he was. If it weren't for knowing about this, he would have definitely come to the hospital to see her.

"Yanis, should I call him and ask?" Bonnie suggested.

After saying this, Bonnie paused and quickly added, "I mean, what if he doesn't know yet? Or perhaps,

he already knew, and he had a falling out with Mrs. Baxter before, even to the point of breaking ties.

Now, suddenly discovering this truth, he probably doesn't have anywhere to go for the time being. So, I

just want to offer some comfort, and also..."

"You can make the call."

Without waiting for Bonnie to finish her sentence, Yanis interjected. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Bonnie and Yanis exchanged glances. "So should I make the call?" Bonnie asked.

Yanis nodded. "Go ahead."

Bonnie hesitated for a moment before picking up her phone and dialing Ivan's number.

After a few rings, someone finally answered the call.

"Bonnie? It's me, Teddy," came Teddy's voice from the other end.

When Bonnie realized it wasn't Ivan, she asked, "Where's Ivan? Why do you have his phone?"

Teddy glanced at Ivan sprawled on the floor in a large letter 'X' shape and replied quietly, "He got really

drunk, more than usual. He's completely out of it now, so he probably can't talk to you."

After a brief pause, Teddy inquired, "Do you need something from him?"

Bonnie responded, "Not really, I was just checking in."

Teddy suggested, "If it's nothing urgent, I can call you tomorrow morning once he wakes up."

Bonnie agreed, "That sounds good. Please take care of him for me."

"Of course, he'll be fine with me," Teddy assured her.

As Teddy was about to hang up, he stopped Bonnie and said, "By the way, I heard Yanis had an

accident. Is she okay?"

Bonnie reassured him, "She's fine. She'll probably be discharged from the hospital tomorrow."

Teddy responded with a relieved "That's good, that's good. It's getting late now, so you should get

some rest too."

"Alright, goodnight," Bonnie said.

After hanging up the phone, Bonnie looked at Yanis and said, "He got drunk and is with Teddy. I think

he must know."

"He got drunk?" Yanis furrowed her brow and asked.

Bonnie confirmed, "Teddy said he's completely out of it."

Yanis sighed, "If he knows, he must be feeling uneasy. Talk to him tomorrow."

Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked, "Why don't you go talk to him? It wasn't your fault back then, and

this situation..."

"Bonnie, I don't have any intentions. I want to maintain the status quo. Whatever happens, happens,"

Yanis interrupted Bonnie and said softly, "Since she didn't want to keep me around back then, it means

she truly didn't want me. And now, knowing my true identity, she's still so resolute. It's clear she doesn't

want any relationship with me. It's just a coincidence that I don't have any intention of being involved

with her either. So let it be. It's better for everyone."

After hearing Yanis' words, Bonnie reached out and hugged her. "Alright, let's accept the status quo

then."

Yanis nodded. "It's getting late. You should get some rest too."

Bonnie agreed, "Okay, let's sleep together."

Bonnie returned to the bedside and lay down for a while, then called out to Yanis, "Yanis."

"Yes?"

"Do you think Ivan will be okay?" Bonnie asked.

Yanis didn't respond immediately. After a few seconds, she softly replied, "He'll be fine."

Bonnie whispered, "In situations like this, it takes time for anyone to adjust and accept. If we give him

some time, it should be alright."

Yanis murmured in agreement.

Despite their conversation, Yanis still had trouble sleeping at night.

When she finally managed to fall asleep, her dreams were chaotic and surreal.

She even dreamt that Madison abandoned her in a deserted place, ignoring her pleas as she walked

away without looking back.

The scene shifted, and Yanis found herself desperately clinging to Madison's clothes at the edge of a

cliff, trying to make her stay, but Madison unhesitatingly pushed her into the bottomless abyss.

Then, before she could recover from the terrifying image, another scene played out.

"If I have you, I won't be able to marry the person I love, so don't blame me!" Madison resolutely

pushed her away and got into the car, driving away.

Yanis chased after the car with all her might but couldn't catch up.

These recurring dreams left Yanis exhausted and restless.

When she woke up in fear and unease, Yanis found that she couldn't fall back asleep.

Compared to Madison, Yanis thought Olivia was at least a decent mother.

Thinking of Olivia, Yanis got up and sat down. She glanced at Bonnie, who was peacefully asleep on

the nearby bedside, and quietly left the ward.

Yanis didn't go to find Zane but headed to Martin's room instead.
